- Q: Is there a website where you can make your own chairs. Like office chairs.
- I typed make your own chair into google and got a pageful of sites with ideas for different sorts of chairs. You might want to try that.
- Q: So i need a new chair/recliner for my house, and i came up with this idea. I could get a car's front seat from a junk yard, and turn it into a chair. I was wondering what i should do/use for the legs of the chair. Also i imagine that it will be back heavy and topple backwards easy. Please help!-Thanks.
- I made a chair out of a Dodge mini van seat- Captain chair type- I used 2x6's for the side rails just about as wide as the seat drilled 3/4 holes in the 2x6's make them 12longer than the chair in front and the same in back- mine recline-this will let you recline without hitting the wall, use 1/2 black iron pipe run them through the 3/4 holes My chair has hooks on the bottom to lock it in place, now cover the 2x6 with cloth or leather and they are comfortable, Mine is in my shop and I even take naps in it . Have Fun.
- Q: I have terrible posture and im tall so i hunch over in my chair on my desk....i have been getting horrible low back pain in my spine so i was wondering if anyone has used the ball to sit on and if it has helped them any

- Q: I'm looking to buy my husband (mid-30's) a gaming chair for a birthday gift. Any suggestions? I see there are wireless ones, which are good. I want one with the speakers built in, and that vibrates.
- When i game, i always thought that the bean bag chair was the most comfy. Try one of those
- Q: Have you used one of those reclining booster feeding chairs rather then a regular high chair? Any recommendations? Do you wish you would have bought a regular high chair instead? Is it okay for my 4 month old?
- I did use a booster rather than a regular high chair. We have a small house, and the booster seat took up a lot less space. It did not, however, recline. If your baby can't sit up straight in a chair, he's not ready for solids yet. The ability to sit well with support is one of the most important 'readiness' signs for starting solids. EDIT: Heather -- up to date doctors do not recommend starting solids at 4 months. Up to date doctors recommend starting no earlier than 6 months, UNLESS baby is clearly ready and in need of something more earlier .. and that 'readiness' includes the ability to sit up well.
- Q: It still hurts in the spot where I hit the chair. Wondered if this has happened to anyone else? I am hoping it didn't harm the baby. Don't want to rush and call the doc or anything just yet, but what signs should I look for? Obviously if I start bleeding or something crazy I will go straight to the er, but I am just concerned that I might have just hurt my little one!
- don't worry... I always bump into things and it hurts but I'm sure ur baby is fine.... If the pain continues for over a few hours look for signss like bleeding or baby movements decrased.... But I'm suree ur bby is ok
- Q: Can't put my actual tent up and need to make one with blankets and chairs. Please please help me.
- take four chairs, i use the ones from my dining room with nice points edges. space them out and place them facing away from each other ( like if people were going to sit facing away from everyone). get a biggg blanket and throw it over the chairs. (i reccomend a big but thin blanket so it will stay up, a bed sheet will also work well cause you can stretch the elastic around the chairs.) if your chairs have rounded edges duct tape the blanket to the chairs, or maybe put a pillow on the chair and tuck the blanket beneath it so it stays. if the blanket is too heavy you might have to place a book or something on the chairs to weight them down. next, if you want, you can throw a smaller blanket over just two of the chairs and let it hang off the side to make a door kind of. or, throw towels lengthwise over the middle of the big blanket to make doors. use pillows on the inside to cover up empty spaces and in between the chairs. BE CREATIVE! Hope this helps! :)
- Q: The nitrogen gas in present in the chair cylinder. However what keep chair at mid position, between highest and lowest position? Is there a valve that prevents chair from coming up any further from mid position. Also if it at the lowest point that then gas is fully compressed. what prevents it from pushing upward as I'm seating. Thanks in advance
- The way a gas spring chair works is that the piston inside the cylinder contains a valve, which lets nitrogen gas pass from one side of the cylinder to the other (see the link below for a diagram). The compression is created because of the volume of the piston rod being introduced into the cylinder, but at all times the pressure on either side of the piston is the same. The lever on the underside of the seat opens the valve in the piston. If you sit on the chair but don't pull the lever, the gas in the piston cannot flow through the valve, so piston remains extended. When you pull that lever, the valve opens and allows gas to flow across the piston, so the piston is able to move down and the gas is compressed. When the chair is at half-height and the lever is released, the valve closes, preventing the piston from moving either way, because the pressures are equal on either side (the pressure in the cylinder is so great that the extra pressure added by sitting on the chair is tiny by comparison). When the chair is at its lowest, the compressed gas is all above the piston, holding it down. It's only when the valve is opened that gas can flow to the other side to raise it.
- Q: I'm looking for advice on buying a high chair. I have a 4 month old little boy who is just starting on different food's. He is able to hold his head well when hes sitting up, but still needs support for now. I want to find something that he will be able to grow into, and will not need to be replaced any time soon. I would also like to spend as little as possible.. Any advice would be helpful. Which kind do you use or like?
- the fisher Price space saver highchair was the best bet for our home.. I don't have a large kitchen so this worked out great for our family of 4 (mommy, daddy, and 2 infants) They can deff. grow into this.. I have recommended it to many people and actually talked a random man at a local store into buying it for his grandchild
- Q: I'm going to be building dining room chairs and am looking for sites with plans and drawings. Thanks.
- I like this guys plans... woodgears.ca/ His kitchen chair how to is here: woodgears.ca/kitchen_chairs/index... and the plans for the same are here: woodgears.ca/kitchen_chairs/plans... Good basic chair. Even if it's not what you want it's a good base to build off of.
