- A pelvic exam chair is just like a table almost. You start out sitting, but the Dr. hits a button and the chair reclines all the way back until you are laying flat on your back and your feet are already in the upright position because of where you put your feet on the chair (they technically ARE stirrups...they just look a little different). - You should take apart one chair so you can see how the fabric is attached to the back. Just remove the wood plugs and the screws should be under them. If your dining room chair fabric and foam is in good condition, and not too nubby or bulky, you can cover right over it, (which is the least costly option) If you need to buy new foam, etc. the seat cushion needs approx 2 thick judging by your photo, plus you'll need batting for each chair to smooth out the corners of the foam. 1.5 - 2 thick high density foam plus batting can cost upwards of $25. per chair. Before you reupholster your dining room chairs, this is a good time to think about paint ideas for the wooden chair parts. You can also paint your dining room table, but make sure to use a high quality paint, like a good kitchen cabinet paint, that won't chip so easily. Recovering your dining room chairs is a fabulously frugal way to up the wow factor in the room and while you're at it, add some great drapes or layer your window treatments with woven wood shades. Other dining room decorating ideas would be to change out the light fixtures or paint them with metal effects paints to change the look. They also offer parson's chairs with choices of fabrics that might fit into your budget. Pottery Barn does this too. You may not find the exact colors you fell in love with at Macy's unless you recover yourself. But you can take a look and see what might work best for you. Macy's also offers a payment plan so if you really love the chairs, it's an option.
- Q: I've play flute for 8 years now, piccolo for 6. Last year when playing for chairs I got 2nd chair. I got absolutely no solos nor piccolo parts. Being my sophomore year, I didn't mind all that much. Our flute section leader was first chair. Now this year she is drum major. - Here's a story. I was in high school, in the late 70's early 80's. A tall guy, playing flute in band. Pretty good too, as when all others were mastering smoke on the water I was trying to dig into the works of John Coltrane. As with you, I knew I could terrorize the the 1st chair flute position, yet I was never a wise guy. In my case, it was favoritism, as I played circles around the first chair occupants through my years in high school. I know this to be true, because 20+ year class reunions often reveal some history..funny stuff. My band directors didn't like the fact that what they were trying to teach, I and a couple others were well beyond. One guy who really got the raw end of the deal, by these same band directors, is a world famous trumpeter currently. Yes, encouragement is suppose to be a quality of teaching yet isn't always there. And..It is possible you may not actually deserve it...yet! Maybe the band directors are approaching and dealing with you wrong or visa-versa. Maybe the first chair occupant is a bit better by some fashion, maybe not. You being your own judge is tough and maybe not as accurate as you think. In my situation, I had a somewhat overwhelming amount of adult professional musician folk disclose some positive opinions of my playing back then. If your case is similar, just ride the wave. If your case is dissimilar, just ride the wave. If music is a strong desire of yours, high school may have only a minor if any influence. - Q: Hi so today my band teacher assigned us our place in the band and I got second chair for flutes. It's that good or bad? I wanted to get first chair but I guess I wasn't playing my best. :P so is second chair considered good or bad? Will I get anything like special from it? - Second chair is better than third - or tenth - and NOT being first gives you an added inspiration to WORK. Also - the first chair flute often does not want to play piccolo - so that opportunity is offered to the second chair player! YOU have done well - and all this is part of your learning. So work hear, learn ALL your scales and arpeggios, work on sight-reading ( often used as a tie-breaker in competitions) and do your best. That fact that you CARE about this is a good thing.

- i finally got my 4 and 3 yr olds potty trained and to tell u the truth. I think they are a waste of money. About a month after they started going on there own the wanted to use the big potty. Like mommy and daddy. So we bought one of those ones u put on the big toliet that worked 4 a wk or so. The gave that up and been using the big potty ever since

- Depending on the particular chair you get, and what you actually want to do, the answer is going to vary. Most gaming chairs I've seen at least support stereo audio via the red/white RCA cables. So what you could do is connect your devices to the surround sound system as normal, then run a pair of the red/white RCA cables from the Receiver's 2nd room outputs. I don't know if your receiver has this feature or not, but it would allow you to have the receiver playing audio through its speakers and your chair at the same time. Another option would be to connect the RCA audio cables directly to the device in question. You'll need a set of long cables for this, and maybe a male-male adapter plug (you can get these from Radio Shack.) Another way would be to get a cheap A/V switch (the type for composite video) and just plug your audio cables into that, then plug the chair into the switch. Most devices can output an audio signal on all their outputs at once so this shouldn't be a problem.

- Q: Normally she was eating in her high chair. But recently I had a C-section and they said no lifting and she is 28 pounds. also, I think she is growing out of her high chair because she tries to stand up in it and rocks it and she can tip over. So, what do I do? Do I get her a booster seat? Does it have buckles? What do you recommend? - Q: i have one of those music chairs with the 2 speakers, and subwoofer, but is there a way to take that awful subwoofer out and put in a new one? theres not a place to unzip the chair or anything, but the subwoofer distorts on about every song that i play. and what can i replace it with to make it have a lil bass without distortion?
- Interesting question...let's see if I can be of any help. The way I see it, you have roughly two choices here (3 actually, but I'll save it for last.) 1) You can take the chair apart to get to the speaker, take it out and either replace it with a similar one (like a car subwoofer speaker - check the Ohm rating) or get the broken one fixed. 2) You could bypass the subwoofer altogether - but you'd have to find the wires to it and carefully disconnect them without shorting them. Then go and buy another inexpensive subwoofer, hook it up directly to your receiver (assuming that you had a receiver driving the chair system) - making sure to place the sub right next to (or under) the chair - to get a similar butt massage effect from the bass. or 3) toss the whole mess out. graduate and get a real speaker/subwoofer set up instead. Hope this kind of helps. I was serious with the first two ideas, the thrid was admittedly a wee bit glib. Please forgive me.
