- Q: It is going to be lounging chair, for T.V. or something, though I am going to glue pieces of styrofoam together, then carve it out...with my *** grove, and maybe a cup holder or something...Though I have questions....1. I know styrofoam is not always going to be the strongest thing, so what should I use to re-enforce the strenght of this chair? Wood, or some sort of plaster?(Did I mention that I wanted to cover it with some sort of hardening agent?)2. What types of insulation should I use? (I was thinking of something that is comfy, though does not have much resestance...like it would embrace the but, not push it back. Possibly foam with an over coating of fluff...or something.)3. Outer fabric, What feels comfortable? Fake leather? or something?...4. What is a cool accesory to a chair(i.e. cup holder, Compass)You don't have to answer all the questions, you can answer one....Though I want some ideas or something...
- The fact that most people call it a chair! but if you want we can open a new web site and send messages to people all over the world not to call it a chair anymore. we could even ask the goverment to step in saying that the word chair is very rude and it would be politcally incorrect to use that word ever again. But i can guarentee that someone somewhere would still call it a chair. Thats what makes it a chair!!!
- Q: Does anyone have one or know of anyone that has one? Just want a good chair for my back
- Found okorder /
- Q: I plan on making some chair covers for a reception next summer. I would like to try to make them myself, but was wondering how many yards it would take for each cover. I want to use cheap white fabric as long as it's not see through.
- Well, okorder download some pictures of the chair and repost it back here and then we can help you. I would say for a folding type chair, metal, you would need about 3 yards per chair, if that is the type of chair you are talking about. :-)
- Q: Where was the Queen Anne Chair first manufactured? And who designed it?
- The chairs were designed for Her Majesty's comfort and would have been designed and erected by the Master Carver of the Royal household. It incorporates cabriole legs which comes from ancient China. During the reign of Queen Anne the master carver and joiner of the Royal Household was a Charles Hopson, although the chair may not be primarily designed by him. Hopson, who was later knighted to become Sir Charles Hopson, is also responsible for much of the woodwork in St. Paul's Cathedral. I'm afraid, this is all the information I am aware of.
- Q: I have a favorite chair............?
- My favorite is a rocking chair.
- Q: I need to know what kind of chairs would go good with a white marble table. The walls are a dill ickle green, the floors are black marble, and the kitchen cabinets are dark brown. This is for a kitchen.thx.
- maybe leather chairs or fabric ones to match the color of your walls or the curtains
- Q: To reduce low back pain when working at the computer, is a Ball Chair the best, or a Kneeling Chair? Any comments from users would be appreciated.
- Have okorder . This can surely teach people!
- Q: I am drawing a manga for a friend of mine and need to draw a transformation sequence for the story. Its a story similer to Harry Potter about a school of wizards. He wants me to draw a picture of a boy being transformed or morphed into a chair and another boy transforming into a jacket (I think a sports jacket).
- The chair: back rest could be in the shape of two ovals one smaller on top of the other which could be the torso and head, while the arm rests could be the arms and legs. I think as suggested, the melting effect could look sharp also, where a person falls back into a sitting position, part of them is melting into the chair, like a face that is stuck in a chair. Wood grain could heighten the effect also. The jacket - In my mind I see someone standing in a position similar to the karate kid crane position, drawing a leg up. The arms can become the arms of the jacket - outstretched slightly, the head could fall into the body of it, and both legs will eventually be drawn up into the body also. The leg lifting up can be shown as morphing into the jacket while the other leg has just started levitating.
- Q: Over the years the foam in my leather chair has lost its ability to to firmly support someone. Replacing the foam is not a DIY endeavour. Are there any reupholsters in the Toronto area who can do something like this at a reasonable cost? The ones I have contacted are too pricey.
- Hi pc, I would suggest if you have any local Upholstery Schools ( colleges Night Classes etc ) in your area you may want to call them and inquire of any available help with your chair cushion. Many times the students in class are willing to replace and repair as part of the upholstery classes. Which because they are students, this repair may cost you a lot less. Good Luck!
- Q: these are supposed to be used in a restaurant if that helpschair
- Number choices 2 and 4 should not be used because hygienically they are not easy to clean because of the texture. If choice number 3 was a decent width and heavier legs to accomidate all body types/sizes then I would go with that one just because personally I like the look of it and it would probably be comfortable. Repairs would not be easy...would have to be reupholstered. Number choice 1 is smooth (great for cleaning), seems to have a wide enough seat to accomidate most, looks sturdy enough and probably would stack for extra storage convenience. This one could be repaired easily/less expensive. This chair looks great (style), but does not have the comfort of number choice 3. Your choices will depend on the type of restaurant it is being placed in. None of these might be appropriate. They are varied quite a bit for choices.
