- Q:I need a chair with 4 legs not 5 and no arms.
- Yes... you can still get desk chairs with only 4 legs, and no arms. You can find them at department stores, office supply stores, etc. (OfficeMax, Office Depot, Sam's Club, Staples, Target, WalMart, etc) I will say this much.... a chair with 5 legs is more stable than a 4 leg chair....less likely to tip over. When I have a choice between the two... I get the 5 leg chair. Another option might be to consider a kitchen/dining chair. Happy Shopping
- Q:Normally she was eating in her high chair. But recently I had a C-section and they said no lifting and she is 28 pounds. also, I think she is growing out of her high chair because she tries to stand up in it and rocks it and she can tip over. So, what do I do? Do I get her a booster seat? Does it have buckles? What do you recommend? Today I tried to feed her on the couch but it can be messy and she was running around with food in her hands.P.s. I have to hold my newborn often, so I have only 1 free hand if any.

- How about a thick piece of glass for the table top (e.g. 1/4) -- something rated for outdoor use? We have a wrought iron table with a glass top; it's round and and we leave it outside and uncovered from spring until late fall. Wipe with a paper towel and window cleaner before use and it's good to go. That same piece of glass has been around for some 40 years -- it's got some fine scratches but that's the only sign of wear. As for the paint we got good results with Benjamin Moore enamel for metal surfaces. The previous responder is right about the preparation and priming, etc.

- Q:I have to make a cad drawing of chair , but first I have to measure the chair and put the dimension in the drawing , but there are lot of curved shapes on the chair and lot of angle , but I couldn't figure out how to measure those curves and angles.Should I lie the chair down and sketch it on the surface and measure it from the surface. - When I first saw this question, I was going to make a snappy answer such as - randomly draw lines all over the place and then erase all the ones that don't look like a chair. But, after reading the question, it's a good one. Measuring curves can be very tricky. I usually draw a straight line parallel to the curves on the actual object and mark the line at several preset, equally spaced points. I then make several measurements at these set intervals on the line to the actual curves - the more measurements, the more accurate the drawing. I then use this information to duplicate the curve from a straight line in the drawing. There may be other methods, too, but I find that this one works best for me. Good luck.

- Q:I have this executive office chair which, through an unfortunate turn of events, one of the legs on the base split off and makes it extremely difficult to sit in.I've tried repairing it with simple things like wire, rope, and JB-Weld, but the poor leg always seems to come off no matter what I try.I've looked into buying a new base, but after looking at the prices it seems it would be a whole lot cheaper just to buy a new chair.It just seems a waste to throw out a perfectly good chair just because one of the legs broke off, though. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can use to use to try to fix it? Or maybe is there a store out there (online or not) that sells bases to executive office chairs fairly cheap?Thanks!!!
- Many of those chairs use cast legs, which can't even be welded. If you don't want to buy new legs, you'd either need to fabricate new legs, and that would take time and $$ and probably not save you much in the long run. I think it's time for the recycle bin.
