Q: I am going to go shopping for high chair of Tuesday and I need some help. My son is almost five months old.I want one that has several hight positions, removable tray (for easy cleaning), and possibly the seat can also recline to lower angle. However, these chairs are a lot pricier than the ones that don't have many position.So what kind of a chair do you have? Do you like it? What would you change on it? Do you think I really need all those features?Thanks in advance girls.: We have the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders high chair. I think it was like $130 and it has different heights, removable tray, reclines and has some toys on it to keep my daughter busy while I'm getting her food ready or while we are eating. The only thing I would say is I agree with the other answer on the seat material. Its not the greatest for cleaning but there are ways to cover it and I don't like the vinyl coverings anyways (I have it on my feeding seat) as if its hot and shes a little sweaty she sticks to it which can't be comfy. I do not recommend a feeding seat that straps onto your chair. I have one and my daughter can tip the whole chair over if she gets too excited in it.

Q: Our toddler is a very quick little guy and him accessing our desk is a large problem. The problem is our son being able to climb the desk chairs and possibly fall off of them. We have huge and heavy metal chairs but that doesn't stop him from pushing them out and climbing to pull the keys off my husbands laptop. Is there a special device that could keep a chair latched onto a desk when not in use?Moving computers and closing doors aren't options since we live in a studio apartment.: Get rid of your dangerous chairs and replace them with stationary chairs that are less likely to injure him. Get him a little table, chair, and toddler computer and tell him he can sit there, and to not sit at your desk chairs. Give him time outs any time he gets on your computer chairs. Once he's trained to not get on your chairs, you can return the original chairs if that is more comfortable for you.

Q: I live in MA.. im getting married may 29,2010 and im looking to rent 100 chair covers. i did a little research and i found 3 companies that rent chair covers for $2.00.. theres one that rents for $1.75 per chair cover, but im afraid to rent and when i get them they're cheap quality or something. anyone can tell me any companies they kno that rent chair covers at a good price for high quality chair covers and sashes..?????thanks: I okorder . Q: How do I go about dying the white cotton chair covers from Ikea upholstered chair collection? I would like to dye them a neutral color such as tan or brown and wouldn't be able to use a washing machine. If not advisable to do this at home where can I get it done and about how much would it cost (ballpark)?: The only way to do it at home is using the stove top method described on most of the packaging of dyes. But to do a chair cover you will need a huge container in order to get the dye to saturate them and not have areas that remain white where there are wrinkles in the fabric. Most laundry mats in my area specifically have rules against using their machines to dye fabrics. But, there are a few dry cleaners in my area that will do it for you, but it is expensive. I had them dye a throw a while back and I remember it cost around $80.

Q: These chairs are supposedly good for the back. Does anyone have one and what do you think about it?: You could buy a GOOD Lane or LaZBoy and spend 1/3 the money.... They are stylish /minimalist but they are sure Hiding the cushioning.... Do you think your butt could handle HOURS of that chair? And do you think your butt CARES how stylish it is? They may say it's good for the back, but anyone can say that...and without PROOF I would NOT believe anything they or anybody else says.... Show me a Zero Chair Showroom where I can go and SIT on a Zero Chair....then let me sit for an hour while I read the Sunday paper....And get me a cup of coffee while I sit here reading my Sunday paper... Q: The chair has a handle on the right side that allows the chair to go to full height when not occupied. After it is occupied an hour or so, the chair sunks to the lowest level. I do not see any liquid leaking. Is there some adjustment I can make or seal to replace? If so--how do I do it?: The seal is leaking and is slowly letting the hydraulic fluid seep back to the reservoir. If you're mechanically inclined you can disassemble it and replace the seal. If not, it's probably cheaper to get a new chair.

Q: What is the best high chair in your opinion? I especially wonder about the cover. Vinyl or fabric or just wooden chair. Also, when your baby started using the chair: before being able to seat on his own or after?: I have a space saver highchair that u can use from birth to toddler as a booster seat. As a newborn or infant it reclines back so u can feed them. Its conveinent because all u have to do is strap it to a chair and its not in the way. Lately I have been putting it in the middle of gthe table so I can work in the kitchen and still be able to see my 1month old. Also the covering comes off and is washable its vinyl I believe. My daughter has been using her seat since the second day coming home.

Q: My mother purchased this high chair for me and I a not too sure I like it for my sons age now. He is 14 months. I have been sitting him in this since about 4 months. I am now starting to think that he isn't wanting to sit still in it because he doesn't have very much room between his crotch area and his back.: plus we can bring it other places as it is portable. The pad comes off and goes in the wash (even though you don't want to do that...put it could be wiped too) and this can be used from high chair to booster seat. It folds flat for easy portability. Plus it takes up no extra space as you attach it to a chair you already have! And no worries about the crotch area... it's just straps.
