4. FAQ
1> May we ask if the bare pump or the whole pump system would be all right for you to arrange the delivery?
The bare pump and the who systems would be all acceptable at your side. A controller will be equipped with the pump freely. Regarding the whole system, we can also make the best solar panels configuration according to your requirements.
2> Does your controller have the MPPT Function?
Yes, our controllers have. This would be not a problem.
3> Can your pump work automatically?
Yes, it would be the basic advantage of solar water pumps.
- Q:I did change water pump before but not on wv beetle?
- These waterpumps do tend to go bad early - fault of crappy plastic impeller. Make sure to get a pump with a METAL impeller when you change it. They are available online. Also do the timing belt at the same time - saves you labor because you have it apart already to do the pump. Also you need to check out 2 forums:
- Q:my nissan 1993 maxima SEthe AC is not cold at all this year it ran perfect the year beforecan the water pump pressure really affect the AC?how much should a new water pump cost for my car?
- It sounds like you have a leak in the AC system and are low on freon. The low pressure switch is cutting off the compressor to keep the system from freeaing up and damaging the whole system. The water pump has no connection at all with the AC system. Call a Nissan dealer and ask for an estimate on the water pump job. Also call some places like autozone and see what a new water pump would cost there. good luck.
- Q:I'm looking to buy a used 2001 Protege. The car is nearing 75000mi, but the owner has not changed the timing belt or the water pump. I found out that it is recommended to change the timing belt at 60000mi, but couldn't find anything on the water pump. Realistically, when would I need to replace these, and any idea how much it would cost? Thanks!
- That could have either the 1.6 liter or 2.0 liter engine. My information shows that if you have the 1.6 liter, at least you don't have to worry about bending valves against pistons if the belt breaks -- you'll just be stuck out on the road until you can get it towed and fixed. Not so with the 2.0 which is an interference engine. So if you DO have the 2.0, pay attention -- you don't want an expensive breakdown! You're on borrowed time at 75K. For both engines, Mazda recommends that you replace the timing belt every 60K miles. Gates (a major replacement supplier) seems to think these belts will go 105K. Since it's a factory belt, stick with 60K. As for the water pump, it's often one of those while you're already in there sort of things when you're doing a timing belt. 60K makes it a tougher call, especially with the better quality of water pump bearings and seals. If your interval were 80K ~ 100K as is true on some cars, I'd say go for it without blinking. As cheap as it'll be (it's really just the price of the pump), and it was my set of wheels, I'd do it anyway, even at 60K, if it needed to be pulled to do the belt.
- Q:1997 Chevy Cavalier, 2.2 engine. In the past 2 days I noticed that my temp gauge was reading a little higher than usual but not in the danger range. I checked and nedded to add coolant. Last night it started making a chattering or maybe klunking sound. As far as I could tell it was coming from the water pump but it stopped before I could get out of the car and look to see. Now the coolant is low again. Are these signs of the water pump being bad or could it be something else?
- There could be alot of causes to water lose and slight elevation in temp. If the water pump is leaking most often you will see sings of it at the water pump. Also you may want to check the oil. I know it sounds crazy but see if the oil is a whitish color. You may have a blown head gasket and could be leaking water into the cylinders from the water jackets in the head. Hope that helps. Also check the ground after the car has been sitting and running. If you see water look up from the ground to see if you can locate the leak.
- Q:i need to change my water pump on my vw 1990 gti. the more details and/or pictures the better or links i can go to to show me
- Buy a repair manual. Or better yet buy a lifetime replacment one at Autozone and they will print out a step by step (with pictures torque specs) instructions for you. :)
- Q:I have a 2002 honda civic with 85k miles the dealer says the timing belt should be replaced. But with the water pump timing belt tensioner also have to be replaced???
- It relies upon on the vehicle, in diverse fashions, like maximum mitsubishis, you could desire to take the timing belt off to alter the water pump. So then that is an included operation and there is not any extra suitable value linked with the exertions to do the timing belt, it merely makes it a handy, value saving time to do it. there is not any rule approximately changing water pumps and timing belts at the same time. If that is not an included operation there is not any element to do them on a similar time. The timing belt is physically powerful preventative upkeep yet there is not any might desire to alter the water pump previously that is showing signs and indicators, and there are a brilliant style of them, that that is going to die.
- Q:i have a 1996 infiniti i30t and its leaking from underneath the car so i took it in to get it diagnosed and they said i need a new water pump and they are trying to charge me 500 dollers and if i need a new timing belt i have to pay a 1000 dollers. is there a cheaper way i can fix my car. it started to over heat today and this sucks cause its my only car my parents wont buy me a new car so im stuck with this stupid old car and i have to pay for it they wont help me. can someone help me?
- I don't know how hard it is to change the water pump on this car, but do know some are real hard. I believe you are a female by your other question and because of that they are trying to blow you smoke. $500 to change the water pump is very high and another $500 for a timing belt is just to much. To replace the timing belt at that point most of the hard work is already finished, Take it someplace for an estimate. Better yet have a male, Dad, Uncle, BF take it in. This is no excuse, but a lot of places will charge a female 25 to 50% more and that not right. By the way, if you get the job done for a lot more reasonable price... guess whose nose would get the bill shoved under and I'd probably tell them what a jerk they are and every one else, just cost them as much business as possible.
- Q:How much would it be in labor and parts to change a water pump and on a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 4 wd with 109k.miles? Should I change the timing chain? If you can please give me a estimated Thank You!I getting tired of old Vechiles LOL
- The cheapo water pump from oreillys is $46, the higher end one is around $70. As far as labor, Mitchell OnDemand calls for 2 hours flag rate time to change it out. You'll probably be looking at at least 1 gallon of antifreeze as well for what will be lost changing it out, and I would recommend changing the thermostat when you change the water pump. The 5.9 uses a timing chain, which I wouldnt recommend replacing, seeing as the vehicle has that low of miles on it. I'm not sure how much labor costs in your area, but the shop I work at charges $75 per flag rate hour. So if we were to do it, taxes and everything it would be right around $250. If you live in a big city, you'll probably be expecting to pay around $100 a hour for labor at a reputable shop. Good luck and hope this helps.
- Q:Went to bring my car in to get all my belts replaced (minus the timing belt) My car was working fine, nothing was wrong with it. I pick up my car and get it home when I turn to get into the drive way there's this horrible squeal. I bring it back to Pep Boys and they tell me my water pump is broke. Now I don't know anything about cars, but is there a belt that they replaced that does something to the water pump? Please if you know about cars let me know. Thanks
- not there fault . just bad timing
- Q:I have a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis vehicle. How do you know when the water pump is going. Is their any particular noise I should be hearing.
- There is no noise associated with a water pump going out that I am aware of other than the engine exploding due to excessive heat. The dash guages; especially the engine temp guage, will give you a clue as to a cooling problem, whcih is what the water pump is for. The water pump prevents the engine block from overheating. When the pump fails, the engine overheats and will either shut down, or the engine will burn out. The best way to tell is to monitor the temp guage. If the engine is running hot, it either the water pump, lack of water in the cooling system, or Thermostat failure. Best to have a mechanic check it out. Cheers!
