4. FAQ
1> May we ask if the bare pump or the whole pump system would be all acceptable for you to make the arrangements?
The bare pump and the who systems would be all acceptable at your side. A controller will be equipped with the pump freely. Regarding the whole system, we can also make the best solar panels configuration according to your requirements.
2> How would we choose the DC or AC Solar Pump?
DC pumps had a better performance in the smaller power, such as if the power is below 3Kw. DC would be better. If the power is more than 3Kw, then AC would be much better. By the way, DC also can't achieve the bigger specification.
3> Can your pump work automatically?
Yes, it would be the basic advantage of solar water pumps.
- Q: My toilet has a water pump to deposit water to the toilet and a floatie that will stop the flow. But now it does not flow water through the hose, instead it looks like it's clogged and water drips from the floatie handle. Do i need to replace it? Or could it be something easy to fix?
- The okorder /... Every hardware store has them. You can get the part I think it is 400A that doesn't have the flapper included. I'm not crazy about fluidmaster flappers because they always leak on me after a very short while.
- Q: The flow of the pump will be reduced, the speed will change, the power of the motor will change?
- To be sure, the flow rate decreases and the speed decreases! The change of power depends on the change of the lift! If the flow rate decreases and the head rises, the power is likely to remain unchanged!
- Q: does anyone know the proper way to take the lower gearcase off and install a new water pump kit. it is a 1986.
- This is a simple repair but I'd recommend that you get a service manual, ether a factory manual or one of the generic Seloc manuals. The key things to do are mark the trim tab so you can put it back in the same position after repairs. Drain the oil. Removing the bolt that is in the hole at the back end of the upper housing, as well as all the obvious Nuts. both above and under the cavitation plate. Put the drive in forward gear, which takes the tension off the shift shaft. Once all the nuts and bolt are loose. Jiggle the drive and it will separate from the upper housing. You now have access to the water pump housing. Remove the housing and pull it up and off the d. Shaft. Inspect fully and account for missing impeller blades. When you re assemble Lube the impeller and put the drive key in place and put the impeller in place. Slide the housing down to the impeller. You can use ether th drive shaft or the propeller to turn the drive shaft in a clockwise direction as you apply pressure on the housing, It should slide down over the impeller. Reassemble in reverse order. Slide the drive shaft up into the upper housing turning the D. shaft using the prop to turn the shaft. Watch the water tube slip into the guide tube. Once it's in place put a couple nuts on then check the gear shift to make sure it goes F-N-R. Bolt up and fill with oil. Good Luck!
- Q: In 2005, the water pump, export pressure in recent years decreased year by year, the running current is increasing, there are 4 pumps are like this. Professional personnel advice please!
- The reasons are as follows:(1) motor guide bearing wear, water pump rubber bearing wear, sealing ring wearMotor or water pump bearings wear, will make the submersible pump in the machine on the wrong state of work, serious damage to submersible pumps, stator windings burned. The method is to repair or replace damaged bearings and bushings.(2) thrust bearing wear, submerged pump impeller and lower cover wearThis situation will also make the submersible pump on the machine in an abnormal state of work, serious damage to the submersible pump. The treatment method is to check the cause of the wear of the thrust bearing. Whether the mechanical seal of the shaft extension is damaged or not, which causes sand particles and impurities to enter the inner cavity of the motor, causes excessive wear of the thrust bearing. If it is caused by the mechanical seal of the submersible pump, the replacement of the thrust bearing, thrust plate and impeller, lower cover plate and other parts shall be replaced by mechanical seals at the shaft extension end.(3) the flow of the submersible pump is too large or too smallThe use of submersible pumps flow beyond the scope of use will make the motor overload of centrifugal pump or mixed flow pump, excessive flow, the pump shaft power increases, the motor overload; for the axial flow pump, the flow is too small, the pump shaft power increases, the motor overload. The treatment method is to adjust the valve properly, reduce the flow rate of the centrifugal pump or the mixed flow pump (increase the axial flow pump), and make the flow of the pump in the normal range of use.(4) the shaft of the submersible pump is bent and the bearings are not concentricThis is a serious case of submersible pumps, should be immediately overhauled, straighten the bent shaft, replace the unqualified bearings, re assembled submersible pumps.
- Q: is there a surface water pump that can pump water from a 1000 foot well?
- If what you mean with surface water pumps are those pumps mounted on the ground to distinguish them from submersible pumps , yes there are surface pumps that can pump water from a 1000 ft well. These are the so called jet pumps or deep well pumps wherein part of the output water is returned back to the bottom of the well pipe through the space between the outer pipe casing and the inner pipe and passed through a venturi opening to create an upward water jet which will push more water upward.
- Q: What are the commonly used tools for repairing water pumps? Mainly for civilian 220V submersible pumps, self-priming pumps. How much is the spare parts ready for use?
- The most basic tools: a multimeter only about 20 yuan, 6 - 19 wrench a set of about 20 yuan, 200MM, 600MM adjustable wrench for each one of about 40 yuan, a cross, a screw knife is about 6 yuan, about 100 yuan a Lamar, claw hammer, hammer, rubber hammer, flat shovel each one about 40 yuan, a vise, pliers, diagonal pliers pliers, 8 words for each one of about 30 yuan, tweezers, knives, pressing line plate each one of about 15 yuan, 60W electric iron to about 25 yuan, a box, a soldering flux of about 15 yuan, or lamp the incandescent lamp, the crowbar can use local materials, needle, slide board with bamboo made with wood or self winding plate with the line of 80 yuan purchase mode. Insulating paint, asbestos pipe and tie band. Commonly used spare parts: enameled wire, water resistant lines, insulating paper, lead wires, various types of seals, bearings, impellers, lithium based grease, etc..
- Q: The water pump gasket in my '98 Forester (130k) recently began to leak, and I will be replacing it in the next couple days. I noticed a stream of bubbles in my overflow container, though, and am wondering if it might be bad head gaskets making the air bubbles. The bubbles only appear after the engine is warmed up, like after a drive around town - there aren't any bubbles when the engine is cold.Is it possible that these air bubbles are coming from the leaking water pump? I hope so, because I'd much rather replace the pump than the head gaskets!
- Yes it is from the leaky water pump. Because it is leaking it will most prob be sucking air. If it was a head gasket you would notice it when cold as well
- Q: I have a quot;Rainbow Lifeguard Quiet One 6000external pump that I would like to use on a new chiller for my tank. The pump is rated at a little over 1500 gallons per hour. I'm debating between a couple of chillers, one that has a max flow rate of 1300 gph and another that has a max of 960.I know that you are only supposed to put any valves on the outflow side of the pump and lessening the flow to 1300 from 1500 doesn't seem like it would be that big of a problem, but I was curious it cutting it back to 960 would be hard on the pump in the long run. (I'm leaning towards the bigger chiller as although it may be overkill for my tank, it would let me have a little more water circulation.)
- I wouldn't restrict it more than about 10% or so personally. I would ask you to think about this: The rated flow rate on a pump is under perfect operating conditions and is usually a mathmatical model that cannot really be acheived in the real world. Your pump probbaly is several gallons per hours behind that. If the tank is on a stand and the pump on the floor, the head pressure alone may slow it to 1300 or below. Additional tubing, especially hard angles will further reduce the flow. I would suggest you get a flow meter ( you can probably borrow one from a plumber for a day) and test the actual flow rate in your set up. Remember that the chiller will further reduce the flow itself. Odds are good you are closer to the needed 1300 than you think. You can also install a small diverter valve in the line. Basically splitting the output from the pump into two lines. One can carry about 1250 GPH and the other the rest which it just returns to the tank unchilled. Hope that helps MM
- Q: I have 2000 ford ranger v6 3.0 I replaced the water pump ten months ago and all of a sudden it's running hot it only runs hot when I stop for a second at a red light or stop sign. I changed the radiator today but still is running hot. The top radiato hose going to the thermostat housing is building a lot of pressure and the water is bubbling in the reservoir what could be wrong? And I took the thermostat out last week

- Q: I have oil all over my water pump. I investigated when I saw a few drops of oil in the garage that showed up every few days. I then saw a drop of clean radiator fluid. Does oil come near or through the water pump? I have a 96 nissan maxima if that helps.
- get the cylinders checked for pressure. Check the spark plugs for fouling and oil in the radiator. It sounds like you cracked a block.
