- Q:Please specify the reason, the more detailed the better, the head is the pump 1N fluid on the work done, when the flow rate increases, the shaft power increases, but it does not necessarily have to do with the head of the relationship
- When the power increases to a certain extent, can not be increased, so when the flow increases, the head can only be reduced
- Q:I just move to this house, it's been empty for a while. The water pump keep screeching everytime I turn it on. What can I do to get rid this noise?
- You must have a surface mounted well pump also called a jet pump or you wouldn't hear a noise from a submirsable which is at the bottom of the well. Check where the motor hooks onto the pump itself to see if there are any small oil fittings. I doubt that there are, but it can't hurt to look. If you find any use 3M or similar oil to lubricate the bearings. If the house has been vacant for awhile those bearings might be rusty from sitting, and may stop swealing on their own as you use the pump and the shaft/bearings may grind the surface rust off and stop the noise. If they don't you will have to call a service company to evaluate the problem. Here is part of jet pump potential maintainence issues: Perform necessary pump maintenance: some water pumps require inspection and replacement of internal parts such as bearings or impellers as often as after just four or five years of use. While it may be possible to ignore this maintenance for a while, the effect may be to so wear the pump or pump motor parts that complete pump or pump motor replacement are necessary.
- Q:What is the influence of the speed of the pump motor on the pump?
- Low speed, the pump has a certain wear and tear
- Q:How much does it cost to have either the thermostat or water pump fixed on a car?
- you didn't say what yr and model of car or truck..You can get a rebuilt water pump for about 30 to 50 dollars, according to make and model, thermostat about $8..now the kicker is getting someone to put it on..that is where the money comes in...so ,I say $60 tops... Its is easy to do,Do you have any friends or Family that knows anything about cars? If you do that is your best bet...I could have it in and out in 45 mins..Sorry..
- Q:ive been doing repair work on an old 86 jeep cherokee and when i let it idle there is a water leak, me and my dad came to the conclusion there was something wrong with the water pump. i cant find the manual and i dont even know what im looking for, so where would i find the water pump and how would i go about replacing it?
- hello ok... you have some issues to ascertain... a million, be certain you placed the theromstat interior the final way. 2, examine each and all of the hoses... you have got one thats kinked or collapsed. ( normally the single close to the backside of the radiator. 3, replace the radiator cap. the actual one on the radiator. it must be venting each and all of the time subsequently no longer permitting the water rigidity to upward push while the engine is working. confident the gadget is presureised via the rigidity of the water pump..... 4, you have got a sludge blockage interior the radiator its self. Take the hose off the backside, permit each and all of the fluid run out. placed hose in perfect of radiator and only flush.... 5, the reason the heater isnt working is becasue the water isnt circulating... subsequently me thinking theres a blockage incredibly once you stated no water comes out of the bleed screw. What shade is the coolant in theradiator... is it clean, is it the fairway or blue shade of coolant further. Or is it a rusty shade. additionally ... look on the oil cap.. look interior it.. is there a whitish foam. additionally examine your dipstick. Is the oil clean , or is it milky looking. If its milky then you definately've got a blown cylinder head gasket . The coolant would be going into the cylinders. and not cooling the engine. I desire you success with this and that i'm hoping its somything so undemanding as a blocked radiator.

- Q:What is the safety head of a pump? Why should a safety head be added?
- In fact, to prevent pipeline errors, generally take 0.5 meters margin, just in case the pipeline changes, resistance, and do not smoke Sheung Shui
- Q:No water will come out of any faucet in the whole house and I do not know what to do, if I need a whole new pump/tank or what could be causing this please help
- There are several possibilities as to why you have no water pressure. The pump could have lost it's prime, there could be a crack or loose connection between the well pipe and the pump, resulting in pumping air instead of water, the jet in the pump could have been plugged by a flake of rust broken off the inside of the pump housing, or, if you have a fairly old system, like mine, your air volume control, (a little round silver object screwed into the side of the resevoir tank), could be bad. Did this just happen all of a sudden, are you trying to open up a cottage for the summer that's been shut down all winter, was it pumping recently??? More info would be helpful.
- Q:Im an SHO fan looking to get another one. The car I'm looking at is a 1991 Taurus SHO. Price is pretty cheap and nothing wrong with it except he said the water pump will need replaced soon. Ive looked at water pumps and Im aware of cost. Im decently savvy with car repair but there are a few things ive never learned. How easy is it to replace a water pump? Should I have a go at it myself or is it better to be done professionally? What is the general cost for a garage to switch out the water pump?
- It's fairly simple and straightforward to replace a water pump on most vehicles. An older one like that will be even easier. Take off the belt and any other brackets or parts that obstruct the removal of the water pump and then unbolt the pump itself. Clean the gasket surface area, install a new gasket, and then reinstall in reverse order. You will need a good mechanics tool set with sockets and wrenches(mostly metric), a pry bar, a drain pan, and a good repair manual like a Haynes or Chilton and you will have a pretty easy time with it. A garage will charge about $90 to $105 an hour for any job. You can call a dealership and ask them and they will give you a price based off of the estimated time and part cost. Since most private garages and the dealers charge about the same hourly rate the better choice is almost always the dealer.
- Q:Theirs a house on a hill and a pond at the bottom of the hill what kind of pump can pull water 50ft up a hill?
- A water suction style pump can only pull at maximum , 30 ft vertical (more like 25 with inefficiencies). You didn't specify if it was 50 ft vertical distance up the hill or just 50 ft from the pond on a grade with maybe a smaller than 25ft vertical height difference. If it is less than 25 you can use the cheap centrifugal pumps or diaphragm pumps located at the house. By far it is a better choice to use a pump at the pond to push the water uphill instead of pulling it. A cheap submersible sump pump (less than $70, for a 1/3 hp electric, like a Wayne or something) will pump uphill no problem and doesn't draw much current. If you want to keep the line continuously pressurized you will need a pressure tank in your house and a pressure switch to shut off the pump once it gets to predetermined psi setting If you have a true vertical 50ft distance you might want to install a positive displacement submersible pump in the pond. The more I think about it, the more I think a centrifugal pump (the cheapest design) would have a difficult time pumping 50 ft uphill. So go with a positive displacement style, the same type they put in wells. With the pump put directly in the water you don't have to prime the pump each time you start it either. These pumps do run several hundred dollars though
