CDL/CDLF is a kind of vertical nonself priming multistage centrifugal pump, which is driven by a standard electric motor.
The motor output shaft directly connects with the pump shaft through a coupling.
The pressureresistant cylinder and flow passage components are fixed between pump head and inand outlet section with tiebar bolts. The inlet and outlet are located at the pump bottom at the same plane.
This kind of pump can be equipped with an intelligent protector to effectively prevent it from dry-running, out-of-phase and overload.

CDL type is applicable to conveying non-corrosive liquid, While CDLF is suitable for slightly corrosive liquid.

- Q: When you are replacing a water pump on a vehicle, should you replace the timing belt on the vehicle as well?
- No. However I think you may be confusing the timing belt with the fan belt. Typically the timing belt is located within the engine. Some european models require this belt replacement. Typically 75 to 90 thousand miles. The fan belt, which is the belt that you can see in the front or side of the engine does need replaced occasionally. However just because you are changing the water pump doesn't mean that either of these belts need replaced. If the fan belt has cracks in it, then yes I would go ahead and change the belt at the same time that you are having the water pump changed.
- Q: I own a Camaro 1995 V6 3.4L automatic, it was diagnosed that the water pump was leaking and I was going to take it in on Saturday 3/1/08. But this morning I drove it and it seem that the car is losing power the RPM goes all up to 4-5 thousand to make a speed change. The car seems to stall like if it gets stuck the RPM goes up and eventually the next speed kicks in. I will be taking the car in tomorrow 2/27/08 to see whats wrong but I was hoping maybe someone knows whats wrong so that I can have an idea before someone tries to take advantage of me. I do know that the car started leaking water/coolant more than before after that little drive in the morning.The car is very well kept oil change is always on time .I always make sure that the water and the oil is level. transmission fluids are clean. - Q: First the shop put in a heater core, but it was still leaking and overheating. Next they put in a water pump. Went to get it and now it wines really loud and the engine use to purr like a kitten, couldn't even tell it was running, now the engine shakes the whole car and it died one the way home but started again. The shop said the cam positioning needs reset again and on the way back to the shop it died again. So from leaking anti-freeze to now it vibrates, dies and wines really loud ! Any ideas what they did wrong ?
- Matbe they forgot to replace water pump gasket, timing belt not aligned with timing of engine.
- Q: I am having overheating issues with my 1993 3.4L V6 Camaro,Once I start the car with no AC or Heat on while at idle or driving the car will overheat, almost to the red line. - Try a thermostat first. The heater bypasses the thermostat and the engine runs cool. Its a cheap fix and if thats not the fix go with troubleshooting the radiator, colapsed hoses, water pump! Be sure to install it correctly!

- It's going to be hard to get any DC pump tht can pump 15m (45+ feet). Get and inverter and get a 115v/220v AC pump to do the job. Those are much more plentiful. I know it's more to buy and install, but it is what it is.
