Q: Okay so earlier, I went to go test out my water pump and all on my 66 mustang 302. And I got it up to normal operating temp, and had the rad cap off. I gave it some gas, the coolant level didn't go down, instead it came out the rad pretty badly. I've been having overheating problems, and I have no leaks, i just replaced the thermostat a few days ago, it didn't help. I haven't seen any leaks around the weep hole on the water pump, or noises. Other than a belt that does need to be tightened a bit, you can hear the belt squeling a tiny bit. So do yall think it could be my water pump?
ok so the termostat replace no leaks and its overheating check the fan hub is it ok if yes then replace the radiator i dont think your head gaskets are blown because water came up when temp was hot an you reved up the engine however if water had came out when water was cold or warm the i say the head gaskets were blown hope this helps
Q: Have a Toyota RAV4. About 156, 000 miles on it.Yesterday as I started driving, there was a sound coming from underthe hood that sounded similar to a stick in bicycle spokes. Got to theend of the block and stopped and noticed there was smoke comingfrom below the belts.Got back to the house and the temp was up really high. No fluid.Added fluid and water and it was leaking, but not from the radiatoritself, but from towards the back of the engine?Might this be the water pump?
yes..very well maybe waterpump. i sugest you check, and change pump, timing belt, belt tensioner and idler as well..
Q: what makes pump come on every 10 seconds when water is on
i'm assuming which you're pertaining to a nicely pump, and your suitable it sounds like it is working slightly too many times (short cycling). in many circumstances on a nicely gadget you will detect a stress tank, which will look after a reservoir of water at a somewhat consistent stress. The tank will empty as water is used interior the homestead until the nicely pump kicks in to replenish it. commonly this takes between 5 to 10 minutes, yet this time is extremely variable depending on length of take, stress placing, etc.. in case you're stress tank has develop into water logged it could account for the situation you're having, and you will would desire to recharge the tank with air. you will discover the air filler nozzle on the top of the tank on maximum fashions (apparently like a bicycle tire nozzle). in case you're nevertheless experiencing the situation afterwards then you certainly may well be wanting to purchase a sparkling stress tank (they often have a fifteen to 20 year existence span).
Q: Domestic pump automatic shut off the water, but also turn around, stop what happened?
Absolutely at the pressure switch, just under pressure. The shell open pressure switch, will see there is a spring, the screw is to adjust the pressure of the ~ ~ ~ try, and I've done a lot.
Q: Im having a hell of a time getting the water pumps to work, even when located right next to a water source (i.e. river, lake, ocean, etc). Ive tried various locations and it has never worked for me. ive made sure the game isnt paused and that the pump has power but nothing works. its not as simple to use as the water pumps in the previous sim city games. Can anyone give me a hint? ive been looking everywhere for a definitive answer.
I think it might be a glitch in the game. I'm having the same problem and I've looked around the net and found others with the same problem. I also had problems getting the power to work, but found if I exited the game and started it again I would magically have power. It hasn't work for the water though but you can give it a shot. I deleted the game and reinstalled and that did not help either. NEVERMIND. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HIT PLAY AND WHEN PEOPLE COME THE WATER WILL PUMP!
Q: Water pump belongs to power equipment or mechanical equipment?
It's mechanical equipment!
Q: Hello,I have a Kia Spectra, 4 doors, automatic, 1.8, 2002, 64000 miles, and the alternator belt just broke. It seems that there is a chance that the water pump was lost on the process.I looked on line and to buy from the dealership, these pieces together would cost me around $70.What would it be a fair price for the service? (thinking that I was unlucky enough to lose the water pump? How do I know if my water pump is good and they are only changing it to make me spend more money???I am a girl (foreign student), and don't understand of car, or know any repair shop that could take care of that...Thanks!!!
Changing a water pump is usually costly because it can be time consuming. Having the belt on your car break should not cause your water pump to go out, but having your water pump go out could cause your belt to break. A way to check your water pump would be to make sure that the pully spins freely but that it does not wobble or have extra play. Another sign that your water pump is going bad is when it begins to leak. This means that the seals are bad, and that water can now get into the bearings causing them to degrade and eventually seize up.
Q: we changed the water pump it went bad and there is still a knock in it please help it is running really sluggish
If it has a knock, you may have blown a head gasket, or worse, cracked the block.
Q: I have a 1997 mazda 626 4cylinder. For a while now, my hot n cold gauge keeps wobbling back and forth. I was keeping water in it and it was fine. A week ago it went all the way to hot and started smoking. There is water gushing out right beside the pulleys. I'm not sure if it is the water pump or not. Now, my car won't crank. Someone told me that it was the rotor button, but i can't tell if it is bad. I don't really want to take it to a mechanic. Can someone help me?????
your water pump is bad if it leaks or whines. Sounds like yours leaked when you rcar overheated. I'd suggest that the overheating problem may have been caused by something else though, as you said that the water levels were not going down until it overheated. I would suggest you may have had a head gasket problem or thermostat or radiator problem. Now it sounds like you have done a lot of damage by allowing it to get so hot. You may have a ruined engine I'm afraid. It might have seized. Tip;- don't carry on driving when it keeps overheating. It does a lot more expensive damage if you do. Take your car to a professional to get it checked out. Expect the worse. Sorry to sound so gloomy, but I'm just trying to prepare you. I hope for your sake it isn't as bad as I think. Good Luck
Q: i already removed all bolts including the fan except for the last bolt on the water pump which the serpentine belt rides on the bolt backs into that so i am trying to find out how to get the bolt from the serpentine belt pulley off do i have to pull the serpentine pully off and if so how there is no bolt or allen holding the serpentine pully onim just trying to replace the water pump
If the pulley is bolted from behind, the bracket has four bolts that mounts it to the block, you need to find those bolts remove the pulley/bracket assembly. If it is a 3800 engine you might need the plastic elbow from the bracket to the the intake manifold also. Coolant flows through that elbow to the heater hoses. poor design, I know but what are you gonna do? Got to love tose engineers LOL. Good luck
