1.Structure of End Suction Centrifugal Pump Description

End Suction Centrifugal Pump complies fully to the European Standard BS EN733 / DIN24255 of performance and dimensions. They are used for pumping clean water or liquids similar to water, achieving wide application on plants, mines, city water supplies, air-conditioning coolers, firefighting system and irrigation. Pumps of the same model have different performance levels basing on different diameter after impeller trimming. Overall the whole series, there are only four sizes of shaft and five of bearing housing. As long as their bearing housings are of the same size, different pumps can interchange chief parts such as shaft, shaft sleeve, shaft seal, impeller nut, etc.

End Suction Centrifugal Pump is also very easy to be installed and maintained. Back pull-out design, driven through flexible coupling, so that pump casing and motor can remain in position while other spare parts are removed.

Got no partnumbers but.. the 3.7 is a Ford engine and dont know from your question if you mean the circulation pump on the front of the engine or the raw water pump in the outdrive. This engine has a closed cooling system and uses coolant to cool the engine pumped around by the circ. pump on the engines front. The water to cool the heat exchanger (and so the coolant) is pumped up by the outdrive pump. Mostly when the engine runs hot the outdrive impeller is worn out and need to be changed or the raw water system can be cloged up by debris.

I've passed on answering your question a couple times, mainly because I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. So let me ask. In the water does the engine overheat? I'm not sure that what you are looking at isn't the relief hole and not the water discharge, which should be under water. How are you supplying water to your engine? Are you running in a barrel? The water pump should be replaced every 2-3 years, so unless you are going to do it yourself, take it to a shop and explain what you are observing. Taking the cowling off will have no effect on the water pump, so I'm guessing you are looking at the wrong place. P.S. This was a common error with Evinrude small motors back in the 70's and 80's, motors similar to yours. The exhaust fin was just behind the propeller. not higher up the leg

Be careful what you buy. Most aquarium pumps are AIR pumps. Why not just use a siphon? As long as the storage tank is higher than the generator it will work. Get a hose or plastic tubing of the size you need, put one end in the tank. Suck on the tubing to start flow. To stop flow just pinch off the pipe or raise the spout above the water level. you might even install a valve if the tubing is large enough.

I wouldn't use anything except what was required for that pump installation because I wouldn't want to have to go back and do the whole job a second time if the pump leaks around the gasket area. A new gasket should come with a new pump. If not go back to a quality auto parts store and get a gasket. I'm not sure I'd trust the squeeze on gasket silicone in place of a gasket and I'd get Permatex gasket sealer to use with the new gasket on all surfaces before I reinstalled the pump. It's worth taking your time to do it right. Make sure there's no antifreeze coolant oozing onto the metal sealing surfaces, because the gasket won't seal unless the surfaces are clean and dry (been there, done that).

it sounds to me like the weep hole on the bottom of the water pump is leaking. This is what it is supposed to do when the water pump bearing gets some play. You should be able to look from under the engine and see the bottom of the water pump, it will probably look all clean as water has been running out of it. This is how you tell your water pump needs to be replaced. Generally speaking it is best to buy a NEW WATER PUMP, NOT A REMANUFACTURED OR REBUILT. The reason for this is a new water pump will last a lifetime of a vehicle generally speaking, so you only want to do this once because its a pain in the butt. and this is the time to inspect heater hoses, radiator hoses and chang the thermostat . This should solve any issues with the pump leaking, so get the front end of the truck safely up in the air, and make sure there is not a hose leaking or something simple, A shop would do a pressure test of the system and this would show them where your leak is. As a temporary measure you can leave the radiator cap loose so pressure does not build up this will keep the fluid in the vehicle, and not blow it all out the weep hole, just don't leave the cap so loose it blows off on the road somewhere, as long as water stays in, and the radiator is full you can use it.

I m a' machine builder by trade as also an oilfeild welder so tend to trust my plans about design. My answer to your question is you can't suck water from a plugged pipe except one tiny amount that would create a vaccum. My plan is an inline hot water pump(automotive type) to go to and from the water heater while the pluming route may have radiators or other heat transfer sourses like plane pipeat various points of the house return in an open pipe flow lie.Thermostate control hooked tothe electric motor that drives the water pump
