Q: I need the wiring harness to a 99-04 jeep grand Cherokee for the stereo Cd changer.: Local car audio shop (but pretty pricey) or u can try Walmart or Best Buy.

Q: i have a 99 grand caravan with the optional infinity audio 10 speaker sound system. im planning on buying a new stereo deck and im wondering which fit kit and wiring harness i need to adapt it. and name brands and hyperlinks to the product would be very helpful!: Just go to sterio shop and ask for dash kit, wire harnes and atenna adapter.give them your car make and year and they'll give it to you.shuld cost $35 total for all. Brands for it doesn't matter in my opinion, All dash kits are plastic and could somewhat break easy

And I bought a d15b2 engine to do the swap but the connections from the d15b2 harness don't plug in with the dashboard connections does anyone know where I can have one made? Also if anyone knows something about converting the car to fuel injection it would be helpful thanks in advance: specific. as long as its an OBD0 to OBD0, OBD1 to OBD1, OBD2 to OBD2 and if it Vtec or non Vtec. in case you attempt to swap an OBD1 to OBD2 do no longer artwork, and vise versa, If the two are OBD2 and are the two Vtec. yea that is going to artwork, you will in basic terms have a pair of cord left in case you employ the harness from a a million.8 Vtec.

Q: i had a stereo put in my 99 cadillac deville and the lovely experts at best buy removed my wiring harness and hard-lined my stereo. this i learned from a custom stereo shop, where my work is done now. how much would it cost to get a new harness and have it installed by a car electric place? i don't know a ton about cars so i don't want to be over-quoted. p.s. i've already tried to go back to best buy and they're being difficult; i plan to file a claim after everything is fixed and i know what to sue for. What type of amp kit depends on how many channels and how much power you plan to install.

Q: I have a 98 jeep grand Cherokee and I just bought a pioneer stereo for it. We got a wiring harness and connected everything how it goes except 3 wires ( mute, dimmer and illumination) but the radio won't come on. Should I be connecting those 3 wires? If so, where?: I dont know what any of those do so im gonna say no. You must either have a wire wrong or a blown fuse which a wrong wire will result in a blown fuse. Maybe your power and ground accidently touched when you were installing it. There is usually a fuse under the hood and in your inside fuse panel.

Q: Have a 2001 Chevy Blazer Xtreme and the engine wiring harness melted(probably small fire). Need a new one but the dealership charges $1500 for a new one. Trying to find a used one (junkyard, OKorder). Will any other year/model's harness with the same engine specs (rear wheel drive, automatic, 4.3L V6) work or does it have to come out of a 2001 Xtreme???: how to wire 4.3 v6

Q: I accidentally cut the stock wire harness piece out thinking, that i would just strip the wires and twist them in witht the coenciding colors to my Aftermarket radio, then none of the wires matched. And now all i see is to use a wire harness but that option is out since i cut the wires free from the small harness plug thing that was origanally attactched. any help would greatly be appreciated.: You are going to need a multimeter Set it to 12 volts dc ( probably will be 20V, which works for this.) Ground the negative cable on the meter, to a secure ground. I like to stick it in the ignition, myself. DO NOT strip any wires at all, you can stick the point of the meter in just to make contact and get a reading without exposing any Hot wires. Slowly check each wire for 12 volts. ( if none read that, check your fuse box) that will be your constant 12v, or yellow. Then reground the meter, insert ket, turn to acc, then re meter all of the lines, looking for 12v again ( for red/switched +12v on the harness.) After finding that, switch it to Ohms, or the horseshoe looking one. Pick a wire as a starting point, and stick the other end of the meter in until it either reads a number, possible 2 - 8, and that's a speaker ( I would also write all of the colors down for this) And keep repeating until you fine all 2 to 4 plus speakers. Having cut the plug can also have done excessive damage, like to Onstar, if installed, or any security system also. using metal cutters, cutting through power/ground/speaker/ and other wires all at once, and sometimes be catastrophic to vehicles, seeing how much technology is in them. I hope the best for you, and next time, pony up for ther harness ;) Good Luck! P.S. if that seems too much to do, a hardwire goes for a couple hundred from a shop, as pure labor. just as a heads up.
