But not too much or you'll break the ears of the housing then you'll have to replace the crossover asy I did see you said CLOCKWISE!!!!!! Make sure you are turning it to the direction to tighten, this has the reverse on/off direction

I was told to remove the bolt and coat it with permatex hi tack gasket sealer and reinstall it Any how I'm wondering why there would be a leak there in the first place, any ideas?

If installing a Eng. oil pan gasket where it takes a rubber end or an intake manifold gasket then you use a silicone where the rubber meets the paper or cork gasket. This is for insurance only. Some oil pans don't use a paper gasket then you use a silicone. Lay a good 1/4 inch bead around the block and let it get tacky then carefully install the oil pan. On the water pump, it wont hurt to put silicone to hold the gasket in place, and also insurance in case it leaks Good luck
