Q: The title says it all? What do i do?!
pour a small amount of nail polish remover BLOT with an old towel or cloth...DO NOT rub!!! Repeat continue until it's gone. It may leave a slight stain, but this should do the trick
Q: I have a beige/off white couch (The link is below) and my accent furniture is black/brown. I'm trying to find a rug and drapes to go with what I already have. I really need something to brighten the room a bit and give it a little more character.

Q: What can be laid on the carpet to prevent dirty?
The foam joint floor laid in children's room, is waterproof and easy to be collected.
Q: Can carpet be laid on the floor heating?
It doesn't matter if just lay a small piece of carpet; but it won't be good if it is full laid because that the heat is difficult to come up, influencing the effect of heating.
Q: I have a Nepalese oriental rug. I assume its wool (thought it may have man made fibres in it).I've cleaned various spills with water over the years - with no probs. It really needs a clean.. can I clean it with cold water? Is this dangerous?I'd like to just take it out and wash it down with a hose... Thanks
I have cleaned my rugs that way for years. dry on the grass, by flipping over several times a day till dry. Use gentle soap and a brush. When you bring them in vacuum well.
Q: OK, my pet pooped on the carpet, didn't notice it for awhile. It dried, I picked it up, vacuumed the carpet as well as I could, sprinkled a little (not too much) baking soda into the carpet and rubbed in it. Then I put diluted vinegar (half and half with water) in a container and soaked a paper towel, wrung it out and scrubbed the carpet with it. I didn't use a whole lot of vinegar, about half a cup solution (which would be 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 of water) for an area the size of a large cutting board.I plan on leaving it overnight and in the morning scrubbing it out with a bit of water - will the vinegar harm the carpet in the meantime or am I OK? Nothing was put sopping on the carpet - the paper towel was just damp.

Q: I'm looking for a Latch hook rug kit that has a wine design pattern?
I've seen some at Michaels, but they can get pretty pricey. Have fun!
Q: So, I m moving to an apartment that has totally outdated carpet. I want to change it, but obviously I can t being that it is an apartment I m renting. Are there any other options, other than buying a giant rug? Also, what are carpet tiles? I ve heard that they re cheaper than actual carpet, but do they require installation? Are they permanent? DIY people, help!!
What's to explain?
Q: I am away from my horses at the moment and i have to call each day to have them rugged. I couldnt get a hold of the lady today and they may not be rugged. its winter here (not snowing here ever) and they have always had doona type rugs on of a night. will they be ok and not get sick?im so worried i feel sick
They're more likely to get sick from *being* rugged than not. Really, unless you have body-clipped them or maintained them under lights and with rugs to prevent any winter coat from developing, horses are much healthier if humans don't meddle in their thermo-regulatory functions. They can adapt to abrupt changes in temp if left to their own devices, but once blanketed they lose that ability because the blanket lays their hair down flat and doesn't allow responses to more or less heat/cold. The fact that so few horses get sick while using a rug/blanket is more of a testament to their hardiness than an endorsement of rugging. If the horse is healthy, had a decent layer of fat and haircoat, isn't wet and the wind isn't blowing hard, and it has enough hay/forage to stay warm, it can thrive in any weather. Think of all the wild or feral horses, and those whose owners allow them to be natural horses. Some don't even have those minimums I just mentioned - they live in the open, with no shelter from rain or snow, and the only feed available is under a meter of snow and the wind is blowing hard - they come through the winter a little thinner, but still healthy. Really, your horse will be fine. Consider leaving the rugs off unless it gets much colder than usual or if the horse is already sick from some other reason. In times like that, then yes it is good to provide a little more care.
Q: When I vacuum area rugs the vacuum makes an unbearably loud noise. I assume the suction from the vacuum is actually sucking up the rug itself. What can be done about this? The noise is absolutely horrific and it doesn't pick up any dirt while it is happening.
