- No. you will ruin your carpets. Oxi works great on a small stain and blot dry. If you want to clean your carpets you need a steam cleaner for carpets. If you leave water under the carpet on the pad it will get moldy and smell. Carpet cleaners suck up the excess water.

- well if it wasnt a whole lot then i think you can get it out. my daughter spilled candle wax, quite a bit, on her carpet. at any superstore you can get a product called goof-off or something like that in the paint dept. it took all of the wax out and did not discolor the carpet at all good luck
