- Q: Where can I buy cheap carpet tiles?
- I found one site, American Carpet Wholesale that had tiles as low as $1 a sq. ft. The FLOR kind is expensive- some are around $5 a square foot. There are a few other sites, with just a simple cheap carpet tile search on yahoo, but many have some ridiculouly high shipping prices.

- Prices vary a lot because of the different qualities of carpet , but you can figure around 3 dollars a s/f installed with basic pad. This won t include ant rip out or disposal of the old. Size of the rooms will effect the pricing since carpet comes in 12 and 15' rolls ( for the most part) and a 10x10 room will require the purchase of the same amount of carpet as a 10x12 room. Bigger rooms will require seaming and extra carpet. No professional will add 10% for scrap. A few inches is common practice for out of square rooms but 10% is a rip off. - yes and this works. get a white damp cloth (rag or towel) then get an iron. put the damp cloth over the stain and iron over it. The stain will be lifted off the rug onto the cloth. Use a white cloth so you can see the stain as its removed. If it doesnt work dampen/wet the cloth so more and try again! You can either dampen the cloth or dampen the stain with water. I do this all the time on my carpets and it works! goodluck!

This will make the rugs blend easily with the grey tones in the carpet, but draw the eye to the rug not the carpet under it.

- the thing is that wool and dye do have distinctive smells, that until you have had them cleaned at least once do not go away Black denim (not much different lol) smells horrible until it has been thru the wash a few times because of the dye, get it professionaly cleaned and hopefully the smell will go good luck
