- You generally get what you pay for of course. Look for wear and stain blocker warranties. Longer warranties is a better carpet. Don t buy the notion of the big brand stain blockers are better, They are all the same. You don t pay for the advertising dollars of the no name stain blocker. Thickness in carpet only counts in the amount of yarns per square inch . Thickness in tallness do not always make a better carpet. Its the twists per thread length that make the better carpet. The actual truth is the shorter, the tighter ( twists) the better the carpet.And if the twists are heat set in. Ask a salesperson about this. If they know or can look it up then talk more with them. - It will work better because a door wedge uses friction in order to hold a door in place and it would have much better grip on most carpet types, depending on the material the wedge is made of. Any wedge with a bit of a rough surface or made of rubber will work as well or better on most carpets than it would on a smooth floor, whether it's concrete or wood. The key is to have the proper size, slope, and texture, so a little experimentation may be in order.

- Q:What is the best way to remove cat vomit stains from carpet?
- I've had two cats that would overeat until they vomited. I think it was related to being abandoned kittens. Anyway, this is what I do on my champagne colored carpet: Pick up what I can with a paper towel, use the vacuum extension hose without the wand and suck it out of the fibers, Spray it with the liquid RESOLVE carpet cleaner and let it soak in for 30 minutes. Then I get a WHITE towel and rub the area clean. I get the vacuum attachment again and suck out the RESOLVE, the stain, suck up the fibers so they're standing up. Tomorrow, you can run the vacuum over the area and it'll all blend in. I get liquid spray RESOLVE at the grocery store for five bucks, but it's cheaper at Walmart. My carpeting has been through 4 cats and is 20 years old. Still looks pretty good.

- It dosen't matter if he's been fixed or not. Keep the litter box CLEAN. Clean the litter box at least once a week with a disinfectant. Clean the turds and clumps of urine every other day, more often if need be. Steam clean the rug. A clean litter box = a happy cat.
