Q: We just moved into a condo about 3 weeks ago... and we have white carpet. I accidently dropped my ashtray onto the floor of my room, and its caused a HUGE black stain....in a very obvious place! I've tried alot of the carpet cleaners.... and its seeming to just make it worse....can someone help?!
Take a normal mix of PROPER carpet cleaner (not washing up liquid, that contains glycerine and leaves a sticky film for more dirt to cling to!!!) add to your carpet cleaner mix 25% Ammonia, scrub by hand (open widows are good!!!) then rinse off with a wet and dry vacuum cleaner.
Q: I accidentally dropped my red nail polish on to my carpet... i tried using windex - it faded it a little bit- but i can still see it! anything else i can try? and i am going to have a carpet cleaner person come and clean my carpets so will they be able to get it all out? and could there be a reaction from mixing the windex with the carpet cleaner? PLEASE HELP!
Things You'll Need: Nail Polish Remover (Acetone), Window/Glass Cleaner, Hair Spray, Shaving cream, Oxy Clean, Butter Knife (or similar shaped object) Paper Towels. 1. Take a deep breath! The nail polish stain can be removed from the carpet. First begin to lightly dab the Acetone Nail Polish remover on the stain with paper towels. (Make sure you test it on a small spot on your carpet first to be sure it doesn't stain). 2. Slowly dab up the nail polish stain using the nail polish remover and paper towels. If all of the stain does not come up try spraying hairspray and/or shaving cream on the nail polish. Use small amounts and gently scrub the stain out. I recommend using a scrubbing brush (such as one used to wash dishes) or a toothbrush to really get the stain out. You can also use the butter knife to try and work the stain out if it is beginning to dry. At this point you may also want to try spraying window or glass cleaner on the nail polish stain. This helped quite a bit in removing the stain on my carpet. 3. Be sure to continue to use paper towels to soak up the nail polish stain from the carpet and make sure you do not get the carpet too wet. 4. Once you remove the nail polish stain, allow the carpet to dry. If there is still light staining, try using Oxy Clean to get the last of it out. Tips Warnings Be patient. It takes awhile to remove a nail polish stain from a carpet..Be Gentle. You do not want to work the stain into the carpet any more than it already is..The first product you try may not work. Keep trying until you see what works for you..Always test sections of your carpet with any item you decide to use to remove the nail polish stain. Do this in a closet or somewhere it will not be noticeable if it stains..If you cannot get the stain out, call a professional carpet cleaner. Better safe than sorry..Do not cut the carpet..
Q: i have red juice stains on my tan carpet. how can i get it out without bleaching the carpet. i used a carpet cleaner and it just lightened the stains. what to do next? thanks :)
Try hand sanitizer. I once got sharpie (which is permanent rly hard to get out) on my shirt. I soaked my shirt in a dish of hand sanitizer it immediately came out. Once it was dry it looked like it did before the sharpie. So just take a towel soak it in hand sanitizer press it on the carpet stain wait 1 min or 2
Q: How do I fit the carpet in the billiard hall?
Note: pay attention to finished product protection, glue paste carpet, not allowed to tread within 24 hours. Carpet pavement on the ground floor of the higher requirements, the ground must be smooth and clean, moisture content shall not be greater than 8%, and has been installed kicking baseboard, skirting board to the ground floor gap should be larger than the carpet thickness of 2~3 mm. Accurately measure room size and calculate material size so as not to waste. After the carpet is laid, be sure to tighten, Zhang Ping, fixed, to prevent future deformation.
Q: hi we bought a new black wool rug last week and since then my life has been taken over by little black hairs! they are all over the laminate floor, the furniture and our clothes. i have tried sweeping the rug but although i get quite a lot of hairs out of it, they just keep coming! my friend got a wool rug a year ago and although it has settled a bit she still has a similar problem. is there anything i can do to speed up the excess fluff loss or am i going to spend the rest of my time with a dustpan and brush in my hands?
Other than cleaning it as suggested, you could also use one of those roll type lint brushes to get excess off it but I'm sure it will take a few tries!
Q: Wat material is good for end table carpet?
1. consider the classical mechanism of Arabia, silk (300D), the price is proper. 2. recommend to buy dark coffee color blanket color, dark blue gem 3. recommended blanket size: 1.6mx2.3m. Two kinds of pressure swing sofa blanket edge (it can save money, so family is recommended to use it) 2. blanket over the entire sofa (recommended reference size equals to the hall carpet 2mx3m) commonly known as the three: Silk (known as Gao Fangsi): Filaments (ratio of hair): 1300D silk feels comfortable, non slip hand materials, it's more expensive than acrylic about 40 - 60%.
Q: I don't have a stitch of carpet in my house, but my floors always seem dirty, even 20 minutes after sweeping. Carpets or flooring, and why?
Well, at the moment it's going to take a LOT of sweeping to get my floors back to their original grey colour- they are covered in silt from the recent floods! We've got bare concrete floors with area rugs. We'd been saving to put down linoleum floors because carpet is an absolute nightmare to clean when a flood comes through! We'd had carpet last lot of floods and just ripped it up because we couldn't get the mud out of it. At least hard floors you can just hose them down!
Q: Rather than step into his litter box, that stays clean because I know how picky cats are, he'll crap on my bathroom rugs with his litter box not a foot away from him. Is it a territorial thing? Would he stop if I bought new rugs? I'd have already thrown his butt outside, but he's declawed. I hate having to keep my bathroom rugs folded over all the time because of the little stinker.
Try this. For a few days put the rug underneath the litter box. When he starts back using it, place the rug back in it's real spot. One other reason he's doing this could be he had a very painful poop in the box now associates it with pain. Good luck
Q: No one has ever seen a spherical rug. Why did Allah not use the word quot;Kurahquot; (Arabic for spherical) before the word quot;Earthquot; like all Arabic texts do today?
Hmm.... are you being deliberately simple, or have you never came across geology in school? The correct description for the Earth crust is a rug. As like a rug it's spread over a surface but not tied or nailed to it. We know this today as earthquakes occur when this rug shifts in some places to either level out, or bunch up like a loose end. It has nothing to do with spherical as you're implying. It's purely talking description and not shape.
Q: Some wax fell on the carpet(quite dense) and i tried the old trick ironing down a piece of paper on top of it to lift the wax off. It has worked for me before. But now, part of the paper has stuck to the carpet. I tried ripping it off real quick but now there's just a huge patch of paper stuck right into the carpet. How can i get it off/out ? Help ?
Maybe you can use a damp cloth- one you won't mind getting rid of- to continue ironing the paper out. Good luck!
