Packing of Chinese Knot Rug With Viscose Hotel Carpet
- Q: I got a little nail polish remover on my shag rug and the bottle says harmful to synthetics-so is shag synthetic?just wondering
- shag rugs are made from a variety of materials, ranging from synthetic fibers like nylon to cotton, wool, linen, angora, leather and other natural fibers. since you only got a little nail polish remover of your rug it should not be a problem.
- Q: Which kind of carpet is good if it is cement floor and I do not want to decorate
- The cheapest is polypropylene carpet.
- Q: I have been searching online forever, I'd love some outside advice. I'm looking to lend some color to my otherwise boring rooms. The color scheme is dark wood, neutral tan walls, sage green(sofa). I have some old club chairs in a light beige sage green diamond pattern, very muted.I've been trying to add color - I've looked at Target, Kohls, Pier 1....I love greens, reds, oranges...If you're in the mood to decorate, would you post me some links of curtains/pillows/rugs you think would do well?
- First thing that comes to my head is silver or gray. And you can find window treatments with nice subtle patterns and textures. I am sure you could also find a rug that ties in the colors you have now along with some grays and silvers. I may even suggest popping in some red into that rug too. With accent pillows you can pull out more of the silver and red. I also am a huge fan on mercury vases.. you can find them in the silver family that would look cool too! I have a BA in interior design, 32 year old female
- Q: I want to get a rug to put under my dinning room table but I'm not sure what kind would be best. I have three small kids.
- Hi. okorder
- Q: A bottle of gorilla glue spilt on the carpet (the kind that dries white) I can't get it off without tearing the carpet up...and I live in an apartment. Do I have to rip the carpet out or is there a way of getting it off. If I have to rip the carpet out how do I replace that patch?
- Unfortunately Gorilla Glue is a polymer and bonds with nylon carpet fibers. You'll have to cut out a patch of the carpet and replace it. Good luck finding a piece to match unless you take a piece from a closet. If you do that cut the damaged piece out first and lay ti over the replacement piece and CAREFULLY cut an identical patch. Tape in and glue the patch with carpet tape and adhesive. Make sure the pile and pattern match. Good luck.
- Q: what is the best carpet cleaner for ditry cat hair filled carpets?
- call around to some of the professional carpet cleaners, they will always have specials, I have 8 cats and white carpet, yes WHITE carpet, we use Stanley steamer about every 3 months we pay 150.00 for the upstairs, the top level of the house is 2700 square feet down stairs is all hardwood plus we spot clean if necessary, oh ya invest in a Dyson vacuum, they are awesome, you will never worry about hair again
- Q: I have talked to 4 companies about re-carpeting our home and all they can do is dog on other companies and say how they are the best. They all give contradicting advice. One guy said, quot;Stainmaster is just branding, use our r2x, it's better and cheaper.quot; One guy said quot;R2x, stain master... all a scam. All carpet is stain resistant these days.quot; And another guy said, quot;Stainmaster is the best!quot; We want a plush carpet that is stain resistant (we have a small dog). I don't care about having the best as I am carpeting my first home and won't be here forever. I also cannot find objective reviews on carpet brands. Why is this? I am starting to realize that the carpet industry is a very competitive business and how do I know that I am getting a quality product.
- Stain Master is just a name. You pay a bit more for Stain Master because they advertise on T V .Almost all stain blockers are the same. They cover the same types of stains and you treat them the same. Like any product ,carpet is a competitive market so you will get competition. What you have to do is compare carpets from one place to another. Compare warranties, the weight of the carpet and the wear warranties. Once you compare apples to apples only you can get a fair judgment. Compare installation costs, is furniture moving and rip out of the old included? See in the installers are certified. This may cost a bit more but worth it. Non certified installers can some times void warranties. Not all carpets have stain blockers , most do but not all. Take all warranties with a grain of salt. This is always based on a pro rated system. Carpets will lose a bit every year. I myself preferred Mohawk. They stood behind their product, Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
- Q: Hi guysI'm moving to a new house and I want to replace the old carpet. But I'm stuck between carpet and laminate/hardwood.I thought carpet is warmer in winter but keep the carpet clean is a tough thing.can you plz give me some ideashave anyone had a carpet? Thanks for you time and help :)
- Depends where you want to put the carpet and wood. Actually flooring is all the same temp its just that carpet does feel warmer. Thats why well placed area rugs work out so well on wood. If this house is a long term investment, go hardwood. Properly maintained, it ll last a lifetime. As far as pricing goes, 0n the average ,carpet is overall cheaper than hardwood. But hardwood will outlast carpet when taken care .. If this is a shorter term investment, a good laminate may work out for you.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
- Q: What is the effect of the carpet?
- It can protect foot at home in winter because the floor is cold.
- Q: My apartments carpet has been totaled over the years. I was living with a bad roommate and the carpet in his room has been ruined in various places because of stains. But i was looking at my lease and it says that it has a 5 year scale of 1200 dollars. I live in Ohio What can i expect when i move out in regards to the carpet. I have lived in my apartment for 8 years when my current lease expires.
- It sounds to me that since you have lived there for 8 years the 5 year scale has expired. Most carpets in the apartment rental business are prorated during the 1st 5-7 years. The $1200 must have been the value of the existing carpet or replacement value. Over the 5 years of the carpet's life if ever it were damaged and needed replacing, the $1200 would be prorated with X number of dollars deducted for each year of wear and tear. This means that after 8 years the landlord would get nothing for the carpet as it lived out its expected life. It is true that carpet quality varies but rest assured it is likely that an average quality carpet was installed when new. Prorating a carpet is based on: age of the carpet, quality of the carpet, how much the landlord paid, and expected life. I don't think you are going to owe anything for damage to the carpet unless the carpet was still in pristine condition and even then you would not owe very much.
