Q: What is the function of boiler feed pump, condensate pump, vacuum pump and low drain pump in operation?
The feed pump is a pump for supplying water to the boiler and maintaining the water level of the boiler. The condensate pump provides water to the deaerator after condensing the turbine and provides water for some condensate users. Vacuum pump is to maintain the vacuum of the pump, the pump is to lower the drain in a timely manner to the next level of low pump
Q: I'm just wondering where I should buy my new water pump for my 2.2 cavalier? Auto zone, carquest, checker? Does it matter which one? Thanks
None of the above, you want to get a delco part so call around. Autozone uses garbage parts so I would stay away from there. If you live near Phoenix I can suggest many places for you.
Q: can you give me some information?
Little Giant makes a good, reliable, reasonably priced water pump. You can get them at Grainger, MSC and I'm sure many other places.
Q: they say a water pump going bad is supposed to weep out of that hole....Yet I see that a new water pump kit has two gaskettes.some o rings....is it likely that it can leak from these sources and still not come out the weep hole? They talk about berring that could go bad or seals gone bad...does this occure in the area that gets inserted into the engine( the turbine portion of the pump)if you had to guess..where is the most likely area for a water pump to fail...if seems like I have wetness off to the left( back toward the firewall) and less off to the right( front of the car)..more off the left..it is very subtile off the right.I don't see anything coming out of the weep hole..BUT the weephole is directly on top( dead center)and back towards the engine in this model. I have the car jacked up on the passengers side/next to the wheel wellso the fluid is most likely to flow backwards toward the drivers side.
Here's the deal. You have to look at your cooling system as a whole system, not just a collection of parts. What makes you suspect the water pump? Is the vehicle overheating? Are you loosing coolant? How many miles are on the vehicle? Everything is a clue to the answer. Where is a pump most likely to fail? Anywhere. A lot of times the impeller will break, but sometimes the gaskets rot out, sometimes the housing itself cracks, sometimes the bearing freezes up. Could be a couple different things. I am assuming by your description you have some type of transverse motor. Could a bad water pump be spraying coolant all over your firewall? Sure, but so could a bad hose or bad clamp somewhere. A hole in the radiator could spray coolant that far back under pressure, although you would probably see moisture around the radiator as well. It's impossible to say without inspecting the vehicle in person. My personal opinion, stay away from the big name parts retailers employees unless you KNOW they know what they are talking about. Some of them do, many don't. They are hired to sell parts, not diagnose problems. Even if they do know about vehicles they can't give an accurate diagnosis without looking first hand. You are better off to find a small local shop with a good reputation and have them look at your vehicle for you.
Q: When should I replace my water pump ?
usually when leaking or noisy
Q: Why can't vertical water pump use spring shock absorber?
Vertical pump can use spring shock absorber, because the bottom of the vertical pump installation area is small, so many people feel that it can not install spring shock absorber, actually not, and now there is a vertical pump can use the shock absorber;Introduction of spring shock absorber for vertical pump;1 、 spring cover and spring seat for the combination of butyl glue and cast iron, and after baking treatment, good weather resistance.2, according to simple installation, bolts can be used to adjust the height and level.3, can be matched with the pedestal design, can be used in various types of machinery and equipment.4, applicable to all types of pumps, fans, air conditioning boxes, pipes and so on.
Q: Here we have 3 sets of centrifugal pumps, as production water, 2 by 1, because the production is not allowed to stop, so we want to change for a pump, the original two pumps to stop, and three water pumps on the amount, and then stop the pump, but not on the third pumps the amount, do not know what the reason, the master to help, thank you very much..
The problem you are experiencing is stressThe above answer is only considered in the case of water absorptionJust imagine, two pumps are normal work, the same suction pipe, how can there be dissatisfaction with water or vacuum state?.According to my experience analysisYour system is three sets of parallel, lift and flow should be the same, if not the same, not in this discussion, the topic should be set up.Lift is the same, that is, in two or three units at the same time, the resulting system pressurization is the same, and water will increaseBut now your traffic is increasing at two units, but it will not increase at threeYou have selected pipeline system design, in the design of head flow under single condition is constant, if the increase in open water pump, the pressure is constant, increasing water content, according to the continuity equation Q = A X V, then the flow velocity in the tube will increase; But when the third pumps, 2Q becomes 3Q, normally velocity should be larger, but the Darcy formula shows that the velocity increases, extension resistance and local resistance will be increased, and the double square, so you can open third pumps for reasoning, when the resistance effect caused by the pipeline the increase of water flow in the pipeline can not be reused, the general formula of constant current, now the whole pipeline in turbulent stateThat is, third pumps to do the work in the water and pipe wall friction in the loss, and actually did not play a role in water supplyThe solution is to increase the flow rate by increasing the water supply pipeline
Q: i have a 1990 honda accord, 2.2l 5 spd standard, and my water pump went on it, and i was wonder if there is a diagram out there somere on how to replace it or how to take it out, cuz it is in the most stupidest spot ever, if you know were i could find a diagram on how to do so could you please help me?
You don't want to do it. Water pumps that are driven by the timing belts should not be done by amateurs since precise alignment of the camshaft(s), crankshaft, balance shaft, water pump is critical. You should really take it to a trusted mechanic otherwise you can put yourself in a world of hurt if you attempt it on your own. Does the term new engine mean anything for you? Not being rude, just honest.
Q: how do i remove and replace the water pump on a 2003 ford focus with a 2.0 engine
I have a diesel one with a noisy water pump in the winter and in the summer it's quiet! Been like this for four years!
Q: The water pump needs to be replaced but now it is taking several attempts to start the car.
How can this simple question evolve into the previous nine answers? The water pump is belt driven and mounted on the front of the engine. The starter is electrically powered and drives the ring gear on the flywheel to start the engine. One has nothing to do with the other mechanically. Hard starting can have a hundred different causes, but keep in mind the starter's only function is to spin the motor over at a certain speed. Now for the answer..... The worn water pump is allowing the alternator belt to slip and the battery is not getting fully charged. The engine does not spin over at the desired speed and the engine gets hard to start.
