- Q: I have dell optiplex 755 @ Q6600I bought a new graphic card, HD4850it requires 2 IDE power connections, but my computer has just SATA connections.I saw sata-to-ide converter in the internet, but in my country there isn't any store that sells it.What should I do ?
- are okorder /.... Look at the second to last picture, the small black 6pin connector next to the copper heatsink is what you need to use. I'm guessing that in thebox you got a 4pin molex y splitter to use in case you don't have a 6pin connector from your power supply. Put the 4 pin y splitter back in the box and look for a lead coming from the power supply that has the matching 6pin. Dell's have used the 6pin connector for a while.
- Q: I already have RCA cables. Just need to find a place that would sell the power cord.
- you could either go to sony themselves or try a really good car audio shop and probably order you one and possibly try OKorder and see if they have one if you have halfords try them they are good for your different needs (if you have one ).
- Q: I have a 2003 hyundai tiburon and need to know where in the firewall should i drill my hole to run the power cable i know it goes throught the firewall but where if you have ever done this to a tiburon please let me know.
- you should see a hole in your firewall with wires going through already. pop your hood an look where theyre coming through then go inside and locate the hole.
- Q: When I put the laptop into hibernation, the power pack still makes a considerable amount of noise. Since the memory was saved to the hard drive, is it okay to disconnect the power cable? Please note that the battery on the computer is pretty much dead and lasts for about 2 mins tops on normal mode
- If it's true hybernation (and not hybrid sleep [?] or suspend) then everything is on the hard drive and the machine is completely powered down. You can safely remove the power cable - and even the laptop battery (if you wanted to, just to prove it works) - and a hour/day/week later pop those back in and when you power back up you should be good to go. EDIT: If it's true hibernation you can leave it like that for years. (Just do a simple test without power cord or battery as mentioned here and see if it works before trusting it.)
- Q: I have a Benq scanner 5000 and have lost its power cable. Please tell me what adapter to buy! input = 220v
- The power cable and adapter will probably be unique to the scanner. You'll have to order the right one from HP, or through a computer store. The USB cable should be standard. Most printers and scanners use a USB cable with a Type A connector (flat) on one end, and a Type B connector (squared-off) on the other end. They're easy to find at Staples, as well as at computer stores.
- Q: The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. The squeezing noise remains and i push the power button - nothing comes on. Before, it used to come on for a few seconds and then it will turn off by itself. I though it was a virus, so i restarted in safe mode to scan it. The PC stayed on for like 30 minutes and then it turn off by itself. But every since it does not wants to come on. Is the power supply gone? If so, how can still the green button comes on and the squeezing noise remains?please help me out! I need my PC! thanx in advanced!
- ROFLMAO What's a squeezing noise?!?
- Q: How to distinguish between power cables and electrical wiring on drawings
- Put a piece of paper in the dog's urine, whenever the dog to think about urine when the dog's nose smell, put the paper in the designated place, more training a few dogs will be.
- Q: I have a power adapter that changes the tip of a power cable from the US standard to the Spain standard. My laptop has 3 prongs and the adapter accepts 2. It fits into it, but the 3rd prong just rests outside. I know the voltage over there is twice as strong, so will this work correctly?
- Yes it should work.... BUT you will not have any ground protection. So, if something goes wrong with your laptop power supply, it's going to fry. ADDED --- Never directly said the 3rd prong was to protect the equipment. Although it does limit the damage to the device while protecting you from electrocution.
- Q: I'm extending one of my PSU power cables because is to short. the line got 2 black/1 yellow and 1 red (molex) I know the colors have to be matched but if at the other end I end up mixing the 2 black lines, will there be a problem?ps: I already sleeved the cable for that matter I can't see the 2 black cables inside and i forgot to mark them. :)
- first of all dont make any home made concoctions you can find those tipe of extensions in a pc store for under a buck and it dosnt mater the black cables are just grounds the important ones are the red and yelow
- Q: I originally tried to plug my US Xbox power cable through a converter, but it overloaded the cable and broke. Microsoft's advice to me was buy a Belgian Xbox, but they never answered my question about the compatability of a US Xbox 360 and a European Xbox 360 power cable.I appreciate any help I may get on this question.
- Euro is 220v to 250v or thereabouts, U.S. is only 110v. That's why your old PSU blew up. You needed to buy a step down voltage converter for avout 15 Euros or so. The Xbox PSU itself will handle the mains for whichever country it was designed for and convert the power to a DC voltage of 12v for any Xbox 360.
