Q: i disconnected the power cable to the hard disk and tried to boot, but it booted (through ubuntu live cd). What might be the cause for this problem?I need ur help
If you disconnect the power cable to your hard disk in which your system disk is located, for sure, your system will not boot, it will boot only if you have inserted a bootable cd or other drives, the system will not also detect your hard disk., there will be no activity to your hardisk, because there is no power even the interface cable is connected. Reconnect only the power, when the system has shut down and power ac cable also disconnected.. If your hard disk is new, you need to have a bootable installation cd (such as windows xp), it will boot to the cd, then you can create partitions (if you want), to the new hard disk, then instllation process will continue, just follow if you are prompted..(note that new hardisk normally not formatted and it will not boot or run without installing operating system program on it)
Q: I have an ASUS G1SN-X1 and my laptop was working normally while plugged in. Then all of a sudden it stopped charging the battery. After it stopped charging the laptop was running off the remaining battery power. The battery eventually runs out of juice but now i can't turn on my laptop because the power cord won't charge even though the power indicator light is on on the power cord supply. I even took out the battery and just left it plugged in but still wouldn't turn on. Any suggestions on what the problem could be and how to solve it?
it is that your battery isn't longer wanting to settle for the electrical powered energy for that's wiped out, which my a be somewhat pricy to replace the battery as I easily have had a similar concern. i will additionally be that the chargers are to previous or dont have an vehicle shrink of which could be inflicting the severe warmth. additionally, while you're constintly leaving your laptop left charging, it could harm your battery and the charger. ultimately, the plug which works into your computing gadget to cost it is going to a hollow in it, on the computing gadget the place the charger may well be inserted, the could be a pin, if it is harm it is inflicting the shortcoming of conectivety of electric energy.
Q: can you use a standard molex power cable on a SATA HD or do you have to use a SATA power cable to power it?
It depends on the drive, some have both some only have one option. Avatarxz

Q: I have a desktop PC that when turned on the fans works but it won't beep or display anything on screen. But after I unplug both motherboard power connectors and plug them back in, the PC stats working normally, why is that? Oh, and I tried disconnecting only the external power cable, no luck.
Just a guess, but maybe you had a loose connection to the motherboard. Unplugging, and then plugging the cables back in, just made a solid connection.
Q: Physically, I want to know what the cable looks like around the part that plugs into the laptop. I have a kink in the cable around that point, but don't know if cutting it and soldering is an option, depending on how complicated that part of the cable is. The rest of the cable is really simple (positive and negative) but does it get complex at the end?Note: I'm only talking about the cable, not the laptop jack itself. I'm talking about the end farthest away from the brick, that plugs into the laptop. I wanna know what that looks like, and how easy it would be to repair.
Replacing the end of a power adapter is not something that is recommended. If not done correctly, you could surge the system board and do hundreds of dolars of damage to the PC. (At lot more than the cost of a new power adapter. The wiring it going to be unique to your make and model of computer. Check the web site of the manufacturer and see if they have a wiring diagram. If not, contact their support line. But only they can answer your question.
Q: im curious what a good rule of thumb would be for determining how strong a fuse to put in line to the amp. im getting a 2300 watt amp but dont know how many amps of fusing it uses. so i dont know its power draw. any help would be great
HM. that alot of wattage i would try 2 100w fuses
Q: we need to feed power of 60kW to island villa
The power cables should be stored on the submarine by the Electrician Mates as ours were on a destroyer. 60KW is not that much power and one three phase cable can handle it.
Q: I bought a microphone that requires a phantom power source and I want to connect the mic to my computer using a XLR to USB cable. Will the USB/XLR cable also power my mic or do I need to buy an additional power source?
I agree with the other answer. It all depends on the quality of the mic you are using. If you are using a $500 mic, get a real USB interface with phantom power. If you are using a $100 mic, that adapter will probably work fine.
Q: if I buy a new 4 pronged power cable how should i install in the dryer, what should i do with the extra 4th wire of the cable, pls help Thanks
Remove the jumper from the neutral lug, (the center lug), to the appliance chassis. Attach the ground wire to the appliance chassis. The 3 lug terminal hooks up Hot-Neutral-Hot. Make DAMNED SURE the appliance chassis is grounded.
