- Q:My brother took his PS2 over a friends, lost the cables, and then took mine. So now I have to go steal my cables back every time I want to play, or not play. My PS2 is a piece of crap, but I can't afford a new one. Can I buy replacemt AV and power cables? I saw a MadCatz one, but the reviews said it was terrible. Thanks!
- USB cables are pretty much standard. Just look up your manual as to what kind of cable you need and find it online. bestbuy/circuitcity will rip you off if you try to buy it in store, online it would be 1/5th cheap as them
- Q:Cable bttz-4 * (1 * 50) and bttz-4 * 50 What is the difference

- Q:I recently bought an asustek computer with a 350 watt PSU. Unfortunately, it did not come with a power supply cable. I have a quot;king-cord10 amp 125v 1250w cable numbered KC-003. Will this cord work to power my computer, is it too powerful, not powerful enough? I don't want to plug it in and over power it or somethig. Thanks for the help.
- yes it will work aslong as it fits
- Q:will leaving the power cable in for my laptop hurt the battery?
- No, I've always done that with no issues.
- Q:I am doing a test if the power supply. Can you have the computer on and plugged in with PSU out in the open, leave on the carpet ?Can you have the power cable plugged into the psu first and then try to plug in the psu cable into the mother board. Would this electrocute you? if you accidentally knocked over liquid onto the power supply while the computer is running and you touched the motherboard at the same time while you are perfectly grounded. Can this electrocute you? unpluging the psu connector while the computer is on?
- Power okorder /... Look at the photo all the way to the right. Shows you the motherboard power cable plugged in. That is the backside of the connector you're looking at. The jumper wire goes to the Green wire socket, and the Black wire socket next to it. Pins 14 15, in this type of motherboard connector. No matter what style of motherboard connector you have, it's the Green wire, and any Black wire. Green is the Soft Power On, any Black wire is a ground. Just touch it - Briefly. You'll see a spark. If the Psu is good, the computer power supply will turn on. (The spark may make you glad you had a rubber glove on!)
- Q:I have a power adapter that changes the tip of a power cable from the US standard to the Spain standard. My laptop has 3 prongs and the adapter accepts 2. It fits into it, but the 3rd prong just rests outside. I know the voltage over there is twice as strong, so will this work correctly?
- Houjo and another correspondent seem to think that the earth (ground) connection is to protect the equipment. It isn't. It is to protect you. If the laptop was designed to be used with an earthed mains lead (the handbook should tell you) it will still work with a two-core one but in the, albeit unlikely, event of certain type of fault in the laptop you may be exposed to mains voltage on any conductive part of the laptop.
- Q:printer is powered on. cables are securely connected. printer has ink and paper. printer installed as network printer on all client computers. other users are able to print to the printer. but printer not working on the other computer
- Check if the other computer has the printer as default. Go to printers and faxes and check from there.
- Q:Question says it all.
- Yes that is good the bigger your power cable the better. If it is bigger it will cause less resistance and energy will flow much more freely and this will mean your music will sound much clearer i personally run 1 guage to all my amps.
- Q:My power supply has one cable with 3 sata connectors on it. Can I connect my disc drive and hard drive on the one cable? My PSU also has a cable with 3 four pin molex connectors on it and my case has 3 fans. Can I connect all my fans to that one cable with all the molex connectors on it?
- Yes to both questions. It doesn't matter whether you're connecting only harddrives to that cable or only diskdrives (aside from the fact that these are usually located a little apart from each other.) You can combine both and they will work. As for fans... If they have the molex connectors rather than standard 3-pin fan connectors, you can connect them for sure. Depending on what power supply you have, you'll probably have anywhere from 18-30amp on your 12v molex rail. Harddrives will take under 2amp, and depending on what fans you have, they'll use anywhere 0.5-3amp, so even if you have 3 extremely powerful fans drawing 3amp each (3 x 3amp = 9amp), you can safely connect 6 of such monster fans to that 12v molex rail. To be honest, I haven't met too many of such fans - most standard 120mm fans, even with leds, will use no more than 1.5amp. 80mm fans non-led fans will use about 0.3-0.5 amp. If you have a very powerful psu with 30amp on 12v rail and hundred of 80mm fans, in theory you can run all of them. In practice, I'd like to see that :)
- Q:Do you need to use both the 6 pin PCI-E power cable and the 8 pin PCI-E power cable on a video card? Why are they used? To give power to the video card if needed? Seems like the motherboard gives the card power as well?
- if the graphics card has an 6-pin power connector and an 8-pin connector then u need to use the 6-pin and the 8-pin power cable from your power supply.most power supplies (especially those that supply 500 watts of power to your cpu and all the peripherals) in the market right now have at least one connector for each type (6-pin and 8-pin).usually the most high-end power supplies now (like the Ultra X4 series) have more than 1 for each type.right now the most high-end power supplies from my perspective is the 1600W power supply from the Ultra X4 series.it has 3 6-pin power connectors and 3 for the 8-pin power connector. and ya the 6- and 8-pin power connector is the bridge for the power supply to transport power to the component. nope.the motherboard is a selfish guy.it doesnt give power to the graphics card unless the graphics card doesn't take a lot of wattage to work then the motherboard will donate power to the graphics card.
