Q: I have bought a 1.5 ton window AC from Blue Star recently and used 2.5 sq mm cable to power it through a 16A DP MCB.Can the load be supported in this scenario?
1790 watts at 230 volts is about 8 amps. I would use a power cable rated for at least 10 amps or more. You would need a wire of about 8.3 sq mm, 1.63 mm diameter, or 14 awg to run this load. 2.5 sq mm is the equivalent of 24 awg wire, 0.5 mm diameter, or rated for at 3.5 amps. The unit couldn't draw enough current to run properly with this wire.
Q: I'm curious, because I was looking through the 'combo deals' for a part for a potential build, and one of them was a SATA cable (item itself was a hard drive). Does Newegg, or for that matter any major computer retailer, sell products that come with all the cables you need to actually use the part? I guess I'm primarily concerned with Hard Drives and Disk Drives in this case... oh, and PSUs I guess. And the mobo, will that have the power cable?
Depending on what the combo contains, it may have the cables. - A power supply comes with a power cable for the outlet, and the usualy cables you find on a power supply... - A motherboard comes with 2 or 3 SATA cables, O/I shield, screws needed to mount ot case, manual, driver disk - JUST Hard Drives...well just the hard drive (NewEgg does not included any cables unless stated) - Graphics cards...adapters, manual, old drivers - Case: cables that connect to the motherboard (On/reset buttons, USB ports, Firewire, fans, sound/mic jacks) Hope this answers your question.
Q: i have a dell inspiron 9100. for some odd reason, it won't recognize its power cable. I have tried all outlets in my room that I can plug it into.
did you try to remove the battery
Q: i just got a junked up PS2 and i'm taking it apart to see what all is wrong with it and do a thorough cleaning of everything inside and i discovered that the problem is the power eject ribbon cable is tattered. is there anyway i can make a homemade style cable or repair the old one. i know there are like 5 to 10 bucks but im a major cheapa$$ so to say so any tips or tricks???
No, once that is broken you can not fix a ribbon cable but you might be able to get them cheaper on OKorder.
Q: I've had this laptop (Dell Studio XPS 1640) for about two and a half years, and I've been through three power cables. The first one was a no-brainer, since the end was wearing a lot and you could see the wires. The past two have basically just stopped working for no obvious reason. The blue light on the end of the cord still lights up blue, but my computer says plugged in and not charging. I just bought a brand new one less than four months ago and it's worked perfectly until this past week. Has anyone else been having this problem with similar laptops? And if so, is there anything I can do besides wasting more money on a new cable?
I would suggest your take your adapter in to your local computer store and they can check it out. If your adapter is working but your still not getting current then the problem is inside your computer and it will need to be sent for repairs... Source(s): CompTIA A+ Computer Professional
Q: Okay I need help.I lost the power cable for my modem, so now I am using a 18v 1A cable, the input of the modem needs 15v 1.5awill this be compatible or will it burn my modem?
Get the proper supply. It will be easier on it. With that supply, it could overheat and prematurely fail.
Q: Some said that living near the power cable line might cause cancer because of the radiation from this powerline. Please help me decide. Thanks.
I grew up in Scarborough, this isn't any longer that undesirable! yet Kennedy Station is unquestionably no longer one among its' highlights. I observed a guy get stabbed there as quickly as. attempt to no longer stay very close to a station if obtainable. Meadowvale and Ellesmere is quite super, I lived there and this isn't any longer impossible to get to Kennedy or different public shipping. North York is greater advantageous.
Q: power supply, however it comes with some cables that can be attached to the peripheral 4 point cable then ran into the card itself. can this setup work? Or will I need a new power supply with 2 6 point pci express power cables? Oh by the way its a 600 watt power supply I currently have.
The addapter to the 4pin molex will work just fine. If your pickie about your computer like I am, then you can purchase a new power supply, but there really isnt any need.
Q: I have a Netgear router and just now when I tried to plug the power cable back into the back of it, it would fit. I look more closely and it seems that the metal end of the power cable may be slightly bent. But I'm still confused because it's bent at the end of the metal, and even though the very tip of it isn't bent, that part still won't even slide into place a little. Could anyone help me in resolving this issue?
If it is the correct adapter for the router and it fitted before, gently force it and it will comfortably fit eventually. There is probably a reason it doesn't fit now (it has been pulled out with some force) so I would suggest getting a new power adapter for it if the above does not work
Q: I am getting a new gaming computer for Christmas with a 700 watt, 12.5 AMP (I think) power supply. I have two power cords for computers on my shelf, but my dad is worried that a standard power cable won't properly power my computer. Do I need to get a more powerful cable? If so, please send a link to where I can buy one, I have been searching but only found standard ones. Thank you.
your graphics card is obviously powerful maybe if you power supply is not in properly and not giving the full power it can thus not letting the graphics card run properly? try opening up your case and making sure the power supply if fully connected
