Q: What does the temperature range of the pump mean?
Not be too cold or hot water, will be frozen.
Q: just changed the water pump on my lower unit installed the lower unit and started motor now there is no water coming out of the upper flow tube is it becouse the engine is not warmed up yet or is something not lined up ...........
It shouldn't take long for the water to come out. Make sure the site tube isn't plugged up. If not, check your installation out.
Q: Stop the engine immediately and stop the circulating pump and the condensate pump. What's the harm to the turbine?
Stop the condensate pump is not required to condensate users, such as reducing water, mechanical seal water, shaft seal cooling water, deaerator, whether you need water. Stop circulating pump requires three: 1, exhaust steam temperature below 50. 2, there is no circulating water users. 3. No drain to condenser. If stop immediately stop circulating water and condensate pump, the consequences can be imagined.
Q: We use this water pump for about 2 years, and in the last week the circuit breaker trip when we turn on the pump. What should I check first for the problem?
Is it a circuit breaker or a GFCI that is tripping? If a circuit breaker then the pump motor could be frozen or is binding, circuit maybe over loaded because there in now something else plugged into it or the circuit breaker is wearing out. If it is GFCI (and on a pump it probably should be) then you have a ground fault condition in the pump motor or the wiring. In which case I would suggest hire an electrician to sort out the problem.
Q: I am replacing the water pump and want to know exactly where the two o-rings go
There are several rubber seals on a water pump. The biggest irregular shaped seal is obviously for the main portion of the pump (this can not be misinterpreted for something else). The next in size is the o-ring for the thermostat. And 2 additional O-rings (one smaller than the other) are for the return pipes. While removing/pulling out the pump, take care that the pipes do not get pulled outward by the pump. And when putting in the pump just gingerly align the pipes to the holes in the pump and you are good to go.
Q: What do I get to bring a portAble water conection? Like as in bring a hose with you I gess? It's confusing how I described it but I just wanna use a garden hose so I can wash cars from my truck. Sorry it's hard to describe
A portable water pump. They come in a variety of sizes depending on your needs. A friend of mine runs a window cleaning service from the back of his truck. I don't know what size pump he has but I do know he also has a permanent water tank fitted as well as all the other fittings accoutrements for the job.
Q: noise when i acclerate you cant hear it as much because of engine noise but when its at idle the squealing noise is somewhat loud does anyone know what it could be ? its not the water pump because i bought it new and im not overheating and the belts arent too tight either i have already checked them
wow i loved my 72 chevelle! this kind of noise usually happens when one of the belts is not aligned properly. or one of the pulleys is not angled right. but if you didn't have the noise before i would suggest taking the belt on the water pump off and running the car briefly, if the noise goes away you've narrowed it to the water pump and its belt. sometimes though new pumps are noisy till they break in so this noise may go away after a while. enjoy that car. i hope this helps john
Q: i need to change my water pump on my vw 1990 gti. the more details and/or pictures the better or links i can go to to show me
you have to watch the timing marks and need a special tool for waterpump
Q: Horizontal pumps, vertical pumps, which kind of expensive?
The same type of single pump is cheaper than verticalMultistage pumps are the opposite
Q: i got that special socket but everytime i try to loosen the pump going clockwise i can not get the pump to come loose the socket just slips off any suggestions these is a northstar engine
You sure you have the right tool?? There are 2 different tools they came out with. Cant remember the year but Cadillac changed the water pump design which the tools had to change. Neither one will work on the other design. Both almost look the same except the teeth stick further out on the older design. I always use a impact, put the socket on your impact just bump the trigger enough to get the pump to turn a little. But not too much or you'll break the ears of the housing then you'll have to replace the crossover asy I did see you said CLOCKWISE!!!!!! Make sure you are turning it to the direction to tighten, this has the reverse on/off direction
