Operations Conditions
1. The medium temperature should not be over 60oC, the density 1200Kg/m3, and the pH value within 5-9.
2. During running, the pump must not be lower than the permitted lowest liquid level.
3. Rated voltage 380 V, rated frequency 50 Hz. The motor can run successfully, only under the condition the deviations of both rated voltage and frequency are not over ± 5%.
4. The maximum diameter of the solid grain going through the pump has not to be larger than 50% of that of the pump outlet.

- Q:I just put a new water pump in my jeep and after I put it in I ran it and it seemed to have a small leak while it was running it seems like it was coming from the crank which is under the water pump so it might be a leak coming from the bottom of the pump. When I turn the car off it is no longer a leak its more like pouring water out. What do you think it can be? I put a gasket and the blue silicone gasket sealant all around it and on it before I put it in so I have no idea. Thank you for the help.
- The blue silicone has caused a hole in the water pump. Get it fixed now or the blue silicone will leak onto your engine causing more damage.

- Q:My water pump keeps getting quite hot after each use. Everything seems to be working properly, except I think that the heat may cause it to burn out and that would cause a huge problem. My pump pulls water from a ground level water tank and pushes water up three flats to the part of my house used for living quarters. The pressure setting is set to cut out at 40psi and cut in at 25psi. What can I do myself before calling in expensive experts?
- You need to be more clear.. is it the pump thats getting hot or is the motor that drives the pump. If its the motor, well that may be normal cause motors are made to work. depending on how old the motor is the windings in it may be losing their insulation. the more insulation is lost the hotter it will get and eventually come to the end of its life. If its the pump only getting hot then it could be that something got inside it and is causing it to run hot. Usually its some debris that got inside of it. If you can, open it up and inspect it. There are many types of pumps so which one you have i can not say but this should lead you to the source of the problem. Was there ever a time when the pump ran cooler or is this something you just discovered? It may be normal for it to run hot. Motors are workhorses and they just work.
- Q:think the water pump is behind the crank pulley but im not certain I've pulled apart the front end but I'm having a hard time getting the pulley off so I want to make sure the part im trying to pull off is not the wrong one.
- your water pump is located in the front center of the engine behind the timing cover and is driven by the timing belt. The timing belt must be removed to service the pump and recommend changing the belt at the same time. the only special tool you will need is a puller to remove the crank pulley this can be rented at an auto parts store the rest comes apart with basic hand tools. I recommend buying a service manual for your car at the parts store you get the other items needed to change the pump it will give you a step by step procedure for changing your belt and pump.

- Q:I have to replace the hot water recirculating pump in my house. It is made in Hungary and the Manufacturer's letters look almost Russian. The only words in English are the spec's (amp draw, voltage, etc.) This house was built in 1998 and the plumber's no longer in business. - The only difference between a water pump and an air pump is the pressure difference between the two ends and hence across the longitude of the pipe. Air requires less pressure difference, it will pass across anyways. Now, if the pressure difference is too high (i.e. its a water pump perhaps) then the air will go past quite quickly and there is danger of actual overheating, as the kinetic energy of the air molecules will go very high. (Kinetic energy is proportional to temperature). Overheating results in possible hazards for the pond and also fluctuations in the pipe, whereas it COULD possibly (haven't done exact calculations) burst.

- When you mean it wont come loose, do you mean you cant break the bolts loose or is the pump stuck on the motor like glue? If the bolts are stuck, try spray them with penetrating oil and let it work in for about 30 mins. If the pump is stuck, use a narrow putty knif, gently tap in between the pump and the block, and pry it off, then clean the mating surface completely to ensure the new pump seals properly.
