- I've seen them advertised in the UK but off hand can't remember where - Rideway? Derby House? IIRC they are expensive. You could probably use three equivalent rugs and pay less for them but they wouldn't match prettily. Depends whether you want economy or looks. On the basis that two or three thin layers are warmer than one thick one they should be a good idea. However, I don't have direct experience of this 3 in 1 rug. I've been at it for long enough to prefer economy as long as the performance is satisfactory. Along with others at the yard I use a Morrison's First Home duvet as an under layer indoors when it's very cold.

- They should warranty it if the carpet itself has a stain blocker warranty. Not all carpets do. Check your paper work for the type you have. Any good company will have given you paper work on the stain properties. Damage to the walls will fall on the installers shoulders. Take pictures and start complaining ASAP. Empire should contact the installers and make them pay for it. And your salesperson will handle the warranty work as far as filing a claim. Don t give in if it brand new and has a warranty. - Another tip: Allow your carpet to dry flat... dont roll it up or anything... maybe get a hook hanger and hang it by your dryer... so the heat can dry it a bit faster! :) thats all i got! good luck! :)

- According to Linda Cobb (HGTV's Queen of Clean), you can remove red wine with white wine. If you have some white wine, pour that onto the stain. Let sit for about 5 minutes. Then clean with Shaving Cream. Any brand works, as long as it's the typical white foamy shaving cream. Shaving cream is nothing but whipped soap that rinses off easily. The last thing you want to use on carpet is overly sudsy soap. You'll never get the suds out. Scrub shaving cream into the stain, and wipe clean with a wet rag. Blot with a dry rag to remove the water. And you're done. If you don't have any white wine, try using rubbing alcohol or white vinegar. (The alcohol is more likely to work than the vinegar, tho.)
