- Q: I have burned holes in my rug that need repaired. I have a piece of the same rug. Can this be repaired eaisly.....or best to call repair service.
- Cut a square piece of the rug out. Take an old pair of jeans. Cut out a square 1 bigger on all sides as the cut square of the rug. Use Elmers glue and glue the jeans square to the subflooring then put glue on the top of the square. Cut a piece of the carpet from the piece that you have the same size as the first square you cut out. Place it on top of the blue jeans square and press down to make sure it is totally catching the glue. Voila!

- Lay out a template of each rug size for the chair and ottoman area. You should be able to see more clearly which size would be best. Also the rug in that area does not have to be large enough for the pieces to set totally on. It merely has to define the area and add interest.

- I'm not sure about red kool-aid but I use rubbing alcohol for all sorts of other stains and have had great luck with it. I just pour some into a spray bottle and spray a small area of the stain/spot. (should be fairly wet but not soaked). Then rub the area with a clean dry cloth it should take up the stain/spot right away. Rubbing alcohol is fast drying which can be a great help as well. WARNING... [Be sure to test it in a small area first. It could possibly damage the carpet as well. Tho it's not likely.] I hope this works for you.

- Get a carpet washer(I don't know what its called, but it shampoos your carpet and it looks like a vacuum, but you use water and soap in it), it may just be really dirty. If thats not the problem, then ask a carpet store, they would definitely know.
