6.Conditions of use
Pumps used in the following conditions should be continuously to work properly:
1. For water pumps suitable medium, medium temperature shall not exceed + 40°C
2. The medium PH value between 6.5 ~ 8.5
3. The volume of medium containing solid impurity is less than 0.1%, the size is not more than 0.2 mm
4. The power frequency 50 hz, voltage for single-phase 220 v, 380 v, three-phase voltage fluctuation range for rating of 0.9 to 1.1 times
5. Diving depth of no more than 5 m, is not suitable for irrigation and drainage of sewage and chemicals.

- Q: What I am trying to explain is that I took my vehicle to be serviced for a water pump. They installed it, but when I got my vehicle back, it started making this clicking noise. I took it back to be diagnosed and they came back to me saying that I need a new engine? (Before I took in my vehicle there was no clicking sound or problems, just the water pump.)Could this be the dealer trying to pull something for their mistake or what?
- Take it to a different Mechanic. Who diagnosed it in the first place? But yes a mis-installed water pump will do about as well as not having one, and they can be pretty important. If it was installed wrong then they are liable for the engine not you.
- Q: i have the power max xp652 water pump, 2 inch inlet and outlet, 6.5 horsepower, and says it can reach 100 psi. now i bought the pump so i can use it for my mobile detailing business, the problem is im barely getting 40 psi out the end and its not very much water to wash a car with. Im using a two inch suction hose to get it in, then right after the outlet i reduced it down to 3/4 inch into a 50 ft. garden hose. this only got me 40 psi and the nozzle was basically just spitting it out, so i tried using 50 ft. of 1/4 inch pressure washer hose and it didnt change anything still 40 psi. so please if there is any way i can up the psi, please tell me any ideas are good. i dont know if its just because i reduced it down too quick or if my suction hose is too big. someone who is into hydraulics please help.
- Larger diameter inlet and hose pipes will help reduce the dynamic resistance during spraying.. But it is not clear how you are measuring the pressure. If the nozzle is off and you are measuring 40 lbs of pressure then that is all the pump is producing. This could be that the pump cannot provide the pump cannot pump to that pressure, or that the pressure release valve is set too low. Somewhere there is a valve that lets excessive pressure escape. That is usually very near the pump and it may release the pressure back into the reservoir - so you cannot rely on water spilling out someplace.

- Pull it out of the car and look at it. But since your water pump is most likely driven by the timing belt, that's a hell of a job. My guess is you probably need your timing belt replaced anyways though.

My usual mechanic can't do it for a month due to other commitments so I have been ringing round for quotes, and generally these have all been to change the belt quot;plus the kit- which makes sense, change the lot while you are in there.Surprisingly, the cheapest quote I have had was from my local Honda dealer, however, they have said this is for the belt only as they don't change the tensioner/water pump on this model. Are they full of it? I'm not sure whether to take this as expertise from the car's manufacturer or total BS from some chancer trying to make money from us having to come back when other things go wrong!

We have had the timing belts changed by the dealer also - also the cheapest price - and they have always recommended changing the tensioner and the water pump while in there. The timing belt is such a critical piece of equipment that is should be changed on schedule. The new belts go much longer than the old belts. But it's only a hundred more at most to have the water pump replaced at the same time so make them do it. If you water pump goes out in another 20000 miles, the labor charge to get to it will be 400 or 500 bucks. Most dealerships will do the water pump for parts cost markup if they are also doing your timing belt. You can also negotiate your price with a dealership. Try it. If they won't budge, find a new dealer.

- How Bad did you get burned when you pulled the cap off the HOT Radiator?? Sounds like you need to Boil/Flush Out the cooling system again since the Engine Swap, make sure the Coolant you add is 50%-50% Antifreeze Clean Water, Replace the Belt. is your Radiator Cycling Properly? Does the Belt run the Water Pump or is it run by the timing belt? Year Mileage. Thermostat in the Used engine could be sticking half closed?

- I am assuming that the breaker for your water pump is in a disconnect box on the exterior of your house. If the disconnect is wired to code the disconnect would be fed with a line that also has breaker in your main panel. If this is the case the first thing you should do is identify this breaker and turn it off. Don't go by any labeling on the panel. Use a tester to make sure power is completely off in the disconnect.If power is off you can then pull the breaker out and dry it off. You can also dry the enclosure with a towel. When everything is dry reinstall the breaker and turn power back on in main panel. If it still pops in disconnect, it would be wise just to buy a new breaker , they are not that expensive. Not necessary to start using cleaning sprays.This procedure should solve your problem if everything has been wired to code.
