- Q: where is water pump tempertuer sensor in ford focus 2002
- Water-pumps do not have temperature sensors. They're (temperature sensors) always located in the water-jacket of the hottest part of the engine which is the cylinder head. The water-pump coolant temperature is by far the coolest. It's located to the right of the alternator, a few inches facing forward screwed into the cylinder head. The little manual in the glove compartment will not explain where the coolant temperature sensor is.

- The function of the water pump is to pressurize the coolant, and ensure that it circulates in the cooling system. Generally speaking, the water circulates continuously through the radiator, engine block and parts. Take away heat.. Ensure that the engine is not high temperature

- Water pump life is a direct function of proper maintenance, therefore there is no real answer to your question. At 89k you could certainly elect to replace the WP as long as the T-Belt is also being done, but it is purely a preventive maintenance item. Might save you a lot of money later, or it might not. Impossible to say. It will give you more peace of mind though.
- Q: Stop the engine immediately and stop the circulating pump and the condensate pump. What's the harm to the turbine?
- Then look at what is the circulating water pump and condensate pump users, circulating water with oil in the oil cooler then, condensed water supply pump seal water, water pump can't pump up, how will you know.
- Q: Question for you. I'm looking for a 12v (no AC converter, please) water pump to drive up to 4 water misters. Needs to run off the battery, without an AC converter (already found those). The pump will pull from a water reservoir and provide cooling relief on hot days through the misters. BTW... the pump should be reasonably small, limited to a few pounds...If you have any ideas, please advise.Thanks again,Robert
- The ac converters are 12V rectifiers so just use the pump (wire to a battery) without the converter or check with motor home repair place
- Q: Water pump located on the ground floor of our 10 story building is leaking and therefore it is constantly running and spilling water into the parking lot. Therefore, a plumber shut the water pump off and opened a bypass valve.After we shut off water pump all units still have good water pressure so why do we need to replace water pump?When water pump is on the incoming city water gauge reads 60psi and the gauge measuring the water shooting up into the building reads 80psi. Now both gauges read zero.How can water coming from the city at 60psi travel all the way to the 10th floor without a boost? I do not understand what is happening.

- Q: This is a brand new water pump and we used plenty of gasket maker. Does this year of f150 need the back plate that comes on the water pump?
- if its leaking from the weep hole then u have a bad pump.....return it and get another.... if its leaking from a seal or from the silicone ....u will need to remove it and reinstall it......this time make sure silicone is evenly spread ......

- Q: Well I know the water pump is leaking and its leaking fast. So I put water in the coolant reservoir and when I drive it acts fine but then when I stop and idle the coolant tank starts too over flow and spits the water out everywhere. Car still being at reg temperature the coolant reservoir is steaming/smoking? I can't tell which. But there doesn't seem to be water in the oil??? What's going on? If the water pump is replaced will this stop?
- If you are loosing water due to a leak coming from your water pump the radiator can not hold pressure making the water over heat that is where the steam is coming from and as far as how long it will take you to replace the water pump time will tell if this is your first time it may take you 8 hours but like they say it is better to have tried than to have not tried at all.
