General Description
S series split case pumps are single-stage double-suction centrifugal pumps with horizontal split casing. They are widely used for water supply & drainage in fields of factories, cities, mines, power stations and farmlands as well as water conservancy. They are provided for delivering clear water without solid particles or other liquid which is physically and chemically similar to clear water. The temperature of the liquid is 0℃~80℃. Permissible maximum inlet pressure is 0.6MPa.
- Q: removed my water pump to replace it. i have the fan and clutch assembly still attached...i have no idea how to remove these...the fan clutch has bolts that hold the fan to it...and i did remove those but im just not sure how to separate this assembly...my water pump pulley has 4 holes...and no bolts so i presume it's pressed on...and there looks to be a very large nut between the pulley and the fan/clutch assembly...any help would be appreciated on this...i'd much rather go to the parts store w/ the old pump instead of guessing.....thnx in advance...
- Corrosion is now holding everything to the pump. Use a screwdriver to help separate them. Here is a link compliments of Auto Zone showing how to remove the water pump. You will note in the picture that the pump has a shaft sticking out of the front. That is holding the clutch and fan on. Earlier I gave you the wrong link. This is the correct one for the V6. The others were for the V8s They mention to remove the fan before removing the water pump. The fan should be bolted to the clutch in the manner you say. If you grasp the shaft on the pump, the fan and clutch should rotate freely. If you pulled the 4 bolts off the pulley, the fan and clutch assembly should come off. The pulley should then fall free. Is anyone else helping you with this and they already took the bolts out? If not you must have some alternate water pump that Chrysler failed to tell everyone about. Is the large nut against the pulley or the fan clutch? I wish we could talk on the phone. Get a mallet. Put the pump on a clean surface and use the mallet to tap the pulley on one side then the other. Hopefully this will help work this off. Once you get this off, you will see it should look like the pictures I sent to you. I just sent you another link that has 3 different ways they have the fan mounted to the water pump. Yes, there is a large nut holding the clutch on. It says it is a right handed nut so be careful taking it off.
- Q: there is a knocking noise coming from the water pump pulley..i think, the pulley also wiggles when its running. If that's what is wrong, how long do i have to fix it and is it hard and expensive to fix?
- No it isn't hard to fix, first loosen the little bolts on the water pump pulley, then take the belt off, then unbolt the water pump and take pulley off old pump, clean off old seal from block, put on new seal, you may have to use gasket maker or silicone, install new pump, and bolt pulley on to new pump, then reinstall belt. Oh I forgot you will have to drain the antifreeze before you start, and refill it after you are done! Start the car and let it warm up and look for leaks, if you see a leak you didn't get it sealed properly and will have to repeat the sealing process and antifreeze. Takes an hour or so to do!
- Q: my sump pump keeps filling with sewer water. i cant figure out why or where it could be coming from. and the smell is awful.
- A sump pump is designed for use in the basements of homes whose water tables make them prone to flooding. Many basements are actually below the water table. This means that should the integrity of the walls or floor of the basement be breached, the basement could flood. This would result in thousands of dollars of water damage to anything in the basement, as well as the loss of anything irreplaceable that's stored there. Even should no breach occur, a great deal of moisture and condensation forms over of time within such spaces. Typically the water drains into a hole in the basement floor called a sump pit. When the water level in the hole rises to a certain level, the sump pump engages and removes the water. A pedestal sump pump, for example, has a long rod that extends down into the sump pit. At the top of the rod sits an electrical motor. Beside the rod is an inflated plastic bubble such as the kind one finds in flush toilets, attached to a pressure switch. When the water level rises beyond the bubble, the bubble is buoyed upward and activates the pressure switch. The switch turns on the electric motor, which sucks the water out of the sump pit and passes it through a connecting PVC pipe. This pipe may lead outward into the soil away from the house's foundation, or it may be connected to the wastewater system that connects to the house's drains and toilets. In either case, the water is pumped out automatically.
- Q: Does a Insurance policy cover if your Well water pump burns out from power outage and breaks seal and burns motor?
- Not from power outage. Sometimes, depending on how your policy is written, from lightening strike.
- Q: The meter on my dash was reading low even after driving for 20 minutes on a sunny day. Then all of a sudden it jumped over the 270 mark. I have a relatively new thermostat could my water pump have gone bad? I did not see any leaking coolant or anything under the vehicle.
- first check the gauge and the sensor are working properly
- Q: Im changing the water pump on my explorer. As i was unscrewing the bolts one of the heads to the bolt wore out and now its really hard to take out and its giving me a headache. any ideas of what i should do to take it out?
- Drive a smaller size 12 point socket onto it.
- Q: honda acord water pump 1988
- hello Purchase a how to book, because part of the water pump sits behind the timing belt cover.Hope this was some help.
- Q: When my wife was driving on freeway, the alternator belt broke and battery sign showed up. She also told that the temperature gauze showed high. Luckily she reached home with the battery fully charged. When I checked under hood, there was coolant spill surrounding water pump . I could not figure out where the coolant came from. Overnight parking did not show any further leakage of coolant. is there a need to change the water pump also.
- For one thing. Once the belt breaks your battery light will come on because the alternator can't charge the battery anymore and also your car will overheat if you have a serpentine belt because once the belt is broke nothing will move anymore including your water pump. Your leak probably came from the overflow tank which is normal when a car overheats. You don't seem to know much about cars so I assume that you really don't know where the water pump is. Change the belt and than hope to god that she didn't run the car to long while it was hot to crack the head gasket . oh and make sure you add enough coolant back to the cooling system before you start the car again
- Q: Today I see the saying that if your pipe diameter has been selected, then the pipe diameter on the pipe diameter should be smaller. I don't know why
- The size is only a matter of convenience or experience, and a small number of tubes are already available. As long as you can pick it up, you can use it.The so-called thick pipe to reduce resistance is a certain relationship. But it shouldn't be your decision to choose the big one. Then why don't you choose the big three? Four or the thicker ones?! @! The resistance will be smaller!!!!
- Q: This is what it is doing- the actual pump that is in its own little shed CLICKS all of the time water is being ran, even a small amount of water. The water pressure goes to a slow trickle and eventually stops completely. After about 20-30 minutes I go back and check the spickets and the water is fine, but quickly repeats this same cycle. We just installed this pump about 3 weeks ago. It was doing fine until last week. Does it need to be primed or pressure switch settings increased or decreased? Or am I talking totally out of my head?!
- Might be air in the water lines. Be careful and don't allow the pump to run very long when it isn't pumping any water or you will be buying another pump. It sounds like it is loosing it's prime as it builds up enough to send water to the faucets and then looses it's prime and then has to wait until it builds up enough to start over again. You may need to call someone out and have them run down the problem before you burn up your new pump.
