Q: I have to wonder. WHY don't we have a car right now in 2010 that gets 100+ mpg?Ok we have the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius that get 50MPG+ WELL why not DOUBLE or TRIPLE or QUADRUPLE the Batteries and get 100MPG??? Seriously WHY NOT PACK Enough Lithium Ion batteries in there to get 300MPG?? You mean to tell me that with all the technology we have today in 2010 that we can't come up with a Hybrid that gets 100MPG??? PURE NonsenseSomeone somewhere is keeping the 100MPG car from being produced. Simple as that. You mean to tell me that you can't pack enough Lithium Ion batteries into a CAR to get 100MPG??? Yea right. You know it could be done. BIG OIL and other political forces DON'T WANT the 100MPG car. Why did gas prices go to $4.50 per gallon??? TO get the $$$ While the Getting was good. Now the gig is up and they know it.

Q: I thought I had found a great place to rent but after reading reviews I found out they charge extra rent monthly for pets and the noise is bad being next to the AFB. Do you need to run air conditioning (or just fans), do you run a big flat screen TV and other electronics 24/7, is there also propane for some appliances to split the bill between electric and gas? Unless you rent a place already on solar power, the average bills WITHOUT air conditioning run between $100-200 a month.
Q: Actually , I heard someone talking about diesel generators and that voltage required, he said two types of diesel generators for electric furnaces in steel industry , the first 16000 voltage, approximately , and the second 32000 voltage I really want to know what does he meant .

Q: I have a 4 piston Diesel engine on my generator, I have a nasty oil sludge continue to build up every time, I have flushed the engine with engine flush liqui-moly probably six times, but after it is clean the sludge builds up again in couple of days, I got sick and tired of going down there and get all messed up with nasty oil.The engine produces while smoke continuously, not much but visible enough. I get oil coming onto the air filter, the place smells nasty because of this. The light bulbs flicker when running on the generator, it heats up fast and shuts off when I put load on it as an AC. Can someone please help me out and let me know what to do?
The sludge is an indication of coolant leaking into the oil, as is the white smoke and the fact its over heating, This is due to either a cracked water jacket or sleeve or cylinder head and or gasket, As to what to do? Have it properly diagnosed by a qualified mechanic and if need be rebuild the engine or replace it. As replacing the cylinder sleeves at a reputable shop can cost as much as a new engine.
Q: I recently purchased a CAT turbo diesel generator. I checked the oil and it had water in it. After a good bit of clear water came out the oil started to drain. It could best be described as the color and consistency of a vanilla milk shake. I was told by a friend to mix some diesel with the oil and agitate it to mix it up, then to drain the oil. After the system was clear, i put fresh oil in until it reached the fill line. I started up the engine and let it run for about two hours. It was smoking white from the exhaust stack. I have also noticed that there is oil dripping from the exhaust stack. There also seems to be oil leaking from the turbo. Could this oil leak be causing the white smoke? I remained curious so i grabbed an infrared thermometer and started checking around. The exhaust manifold around the number 1 cylinder was about 100 degrees cooler than the other 3 cylinders. What the heck is going on? help would be much appreciated!
as far as the water in the oil id say condensation,change out the turbo w/acat reman unit check valve adjustment this may cause your cylinder temp difference also could be a worn injector 100 degrees isnt al that much in all reality

So you can empty the tank. If the tube ends near the top, the generator will only be able to pull fuel until the level drops below the bottom of the inlet pipe.
Q: I may soon have to relocate to a place where the electricity is infrequent but my livelihood depends on the internet. my plan is to access the internet through the telephone and run the computer on a diesel generator and also an inverter. is it possible, what precautions should i take to make this work. will this plan work.
Not a problem at all. Although a battery backup is relatively inexpensive and would be invaluable if the generator runs out of fuel or quits for some reason. It would give you time to do a normal shut down. Make sure your inverter is a regulated power supply, you don't want extreme voltage or current fluctuations.
Q: I figured it might be diesel generators but I wonder how all that works. I am curious person. LOL
All ships have electric generators to supply their own current. It is separate from the main engine so while the main engine is shut down they will still have electricity.
