- Q: I was wondering what it takes to build a HHO generator I cannot find a FREE guid anywhere. And also if it will work on fuel injected vehicals, a 2000 Jetta GLS to be exact.
- To answer your second question first: no it won't work. These systems are nothing but a cruel scam designed to con people out of their hard-earned cash. Yes, you'll find plenty of people (some who will no doubt post answers here) that claim it works, I'm saving .% after fitting it to my car. Go to for more information But they are invariably lying. Why are they lying? Because these scams work by recruiting affiliates who are effectively paid to lie about the system. When they tell these lies and convince people to visit those sites, they earn up to $50 for each sale that's made. My investigations have revealed that virtually none of the people who join these affiliate schemes and promote these hoaxes save any fuel -- and that's because they don't even have devices fitte to their own vehicles - they're only in it for the money. But if you want to find out more about the scam and why the claims made for these water powered car systems are bogus, visit the site I've linked to below. And as to your first question: you can not build an HHO generator because there is no such thing as HHO gas. When you perform electrolysis on water (regardless of whether you use straight DC or pulsed DC), all that you get is a mix of H2 and O2. This mythical HHO gas they're talking about simpy dos not exist because unless they're in a plasma (ultra-high temperature), hydrogen atoms immediately bond to form a hydrogen molecule (H2). So there is *no* magic HHO gas, just a mixture of hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) molecules in a 2:1 ratio. What's more, since only a tiny amount of this gas can be generated using the avaiable electrical energy your car's alternator can deliver, it does *nothing* to improve your fuel efficiency and in fact will *reduce* the efficiency. Now just sit back and watch the scammers try to tell you otherwise and refer you to their websites so they can make some money out of you. :-) Please tell your friends and family about this scam so they don't get conned too.
- Q: I am setting up a bio gas plant on my farm in india. I want to know if generators are available for bio gas. What are the modifications required to petrol and diesel engines to make them run on bio gas.
- bio gas plant is from the place u get gases like methen, that's far less carbon and burns like proppane gas(cooking gas) you may equipped bio gas plant easly, presented u would desire to ve uncooked textile, like cow dung orfood waste like issues,
- Q: And WHY?
- definitely okorder
- Q: I inherited a never used generator from a family estate with no motor. After a tornado here last fall I've decided to build a gen-set with it and I have a few questions. 1) Does the 1800 rpm generator mechanical specification mean that the required engine rpm must be a minimum, maximum 1800 rpm or both? Could it be more or is the chance to ruin it a possibility? I want to stay safe.2) Obviously I'm assuming the 25 hp engine requirement is a minimum but how much bigger can it be without wet stacking problems?3) With these generator output specifications can I power my household without damaging anything?I was planning diesel (still researching brands) and connecting direct. Thoughts?
- The generator probably has to turn at 1800 rpm to maintain the 60 Hz frequency spec. Thisis important in a TV set but I can't think of any where else it would be important. Slocks will be edpendent on line frequency but in an emergency you don' really care if you have a watch. Reet the clocks after the power returns. You will probably use minimum power during a blackout. You need light heat and a book which doesn't use much power. No Alfred Hitchcock or Ray Bradberry.
- Q: I have an idea, if a steam locomotive's boiler was heated by a metal heater instead of a fire, how much less maintance would be needed as it does not produce any ash or soot because it has no fire.
- There are over one hundred lines interior the united kingdom that use steam locomotives. a clean steam locomotive 'twister' is being outfitted on the 2d interior the united kingdom. Steam locos might nicely be cutting-edge in Poland and on vacationer railways in France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Germany.
- Q: I am currently looking for a gas powered generator that I will need to run for 24 hours a day. Which ones would be most reliable for me? Also not trying to spend a ton of money.
- Any generator that is suitable for continuous operation will seem very pricey. If you pretend that each dollar weighs a pound, such a generator will cost a lot more than a ton of money. It will also run on either diesel or natural gas, not gasoline. Contact Generac, Caterpillar, and other generator manufacturers for information.
- Q: Design the logic circuit for starting an emergency diesel generator. For the generator to start, the generator must be disconnected from the bus, there must be sufficient start air pressure, and the fuel tank must indicate there is oil. When these conditions are met, then the diesel may be started. Presume there are senors to determine these values.
- This is just an and gate function. When the outputs of all the sensors are true and a start command is present, the output of the gate will go high to allow the engine to start.
- Q: Did some searching, and found little other than single, model specific, manuals (either paper or on CD). The paper manuals are $50-60 each. Single model PDF manuals on CD are about $20.Does anyone know if a comprehensive set of shop service manuals is even available for Yamaha Portable Generators? (gas and diesel) I don't mind paying, but I don't want just ONE manual, I want 'em all. That way I don't have to go through this again when a different model Yamaha comes into my shop. TIA for any help!:-) ?
- floor directly to the physique, and run your cord to a robust earth floor. those areas are obtainable at your community electric supply that sells living house-wiring factors, you will want a floor rod, clamp, and a few sturdy copper cord.
- Q: I have two deisel engines and two tank feeds, how can I connect the genset (4KVA) . I am conerned when the engines are idling or even running they will start the genset. I do not want to put an extra tank.Thank you
- If your tank has another port on it for a fuel line that is where you hook up. If not go to the supply line at the tank and put in a T fitting and then a shut off valve for each engine. Run the supply line to the generator from that T. You will also need a return line from the generator that you can T into at the return line from the engine at the tank. Many people that convert from gas to diesels run into these same problems. Often a fitting is made up that is put in the fuel fill line to allow for the return line. The generator supply and return lines will be smaller then the engine fuel lines. Running the engines will not cause the generator to start.
- Q: I been thinking, and it seems to me our future vehicles would be best suited with a small 1~ liter diesel engine turning a generator to power 4 electric motors at the wheels of the car/truck, just like locomotives use. Advantages would be significantly increased fuel economy, AWD, no transmission and axle weight(offset by weight of batteries, longer lasting diesel engine, easier and cheaper to repair due to small engine size, fewer moving parts, and decreased complexity, regenerative braking, significantly reduced emmissions, less noise, no idling when not moving.Seems the advantages would vastly outweigh the disadvantagesDoes anyone build such a vehicle?
- Diesel would be a better alternative both in that high compression engines are more efficient though they also produce more nitrous oxides and diesels can run on biofuels more readily. However you have the problem that you would need a sophisticated computer controlled diesel to avoid the valve clatter while idle that turns a lot of people off. With a full hybrid, the clatter may be minimized but if you wanted the advanced engines, you would have to buy them from Mercedes or Volkswagon. Usually for kit cars, an industrial diesel motors are used ( these are motors designed to run cement mixers, tractors and other equipment ), but the result is a lot of clatter from the valves. Hub motors are in wide use, especially with hybrid buses but they have the down side of being unsprung weight so they severely hamper handling. Trying to do it without hub motors and you might as well go back to the central engine concept. Also the hub motors exist in bus sizes at the moment. Most regenerative braking options are electrical and can only recover a small portion of the power. The Urba-Electric of the 70's used a stepper motor controlled mechanical CVT between the motor and the wheel thereby having mechanical regenerative braking that had higher returns, unfortunately the commercial Electromatic transmission is no longer on the market and such industrial CVT's are limited in their power ratings as they usually used a rubber belt. Hybrids are interesting but they are inherently redundant. They're hardly the ecological salvation for the planet.
