The pumps are designed for economical & trouble-free operation in handling solids-laden liquids and slurries, it handle up to 76.2mm spherical solids.Pumps feature a large volute design which allows them to re-prime automatically in a completely open system without the need of suction or discharge check valves. And this is workable with the pump only partially filled with liquid and completely dry suction line.
Standard Self-Priming pump units are available for Solids Handling or Clear Liquid service. Typical mounting configurations areEngine Driven for Skid or Trailer Mounted packages and Frame Mounted Electric Driven. Pumps also are available in a variety of different metallurgies.

- Q: I have a well water pump and the motor seems to just run but won't transfer water through the line, checked for leakage, etc but no signs. Even tried priming it but it does nothing. Any idea of what could be wrong or how to repair this problem?
- If the captive air tank has failed you should still get some water flow. if you are not getting any flow and the pump is spinning then the pump may need to be replaced. There is also a pressure switch that may have failed but if that were the case you would have got flow unless the pump burned up. so, bottom line is this. 1) turn power off. let a tiny bit of air out of the Schroeder valve on the captive air tank. if water comes out, the tank is bad. make sure to fill the tank up to about 40psi. 2)turn power off. remove the cover of the pressure switch and clean with compressed air. move the switch back and forth. sand the contacts with emory cloth. 3) if the tank was good turn the power back on and make sure all the valves are open (even the ones you havent touched) if you are still not getting water you should probably call a plumber. most likely at this point you have a bad switch or tank and it has caused your pump to burn up. good luck
- Q: when replacing the Water pump on an Isuzu rodeo while getting a new gasket does it require gasket sealant for this type of vehicle?
- it depends mainly on the gaskets you are using whether or not they are paper type gaskets or rubber type gaskets or cork type some cars have only sealant and no gaskets most rubber gaskets don't need sealant some install it anyway for extra protection but to much sealant it could clog your cooling system if they are paper type gaskets a little sealant is added protection some mechanics put sealant on the gasket simply to hold it in place during the install some gaskets require sealant and a specific one at that there are many different types of sealant keep in mind if your gasket manufacture requires sealants to install its would be listed on the box it arrives in for the pre installation guides make sure you get the one they say also all sealant that dry some are wet sealants and never dry, keep in mine that if the sealant requires dry time after install you follow those guide lines otherwise it will leak keep in mind also that the water pump housing bolts have a specific install and tightening and torque down for that type of gaskets like 15 foot pounds on the bolts for cork type gaskets if you crank the bolts down to tight its going to split the gaskets and your back to square one replacing it again
- Q: How much would a water pump cost for a 1991 cadillac deville
- A lot!!
- Q: what is a submersible well pump?
- lets break it down... submersible- able to be put underwater... well- deep hole that water comes from... pump- sucks the water...
- Q: 1.5KW water pump caliber is 40, what is the flow rate?
- Caliber 40 pumps, 1.5KW model IRG40-160A, flow 5.9 cubic meters, 28 meters per hour head
- Q: I could get a 1994 Camaro, v6, no rust, automatic, excellent condition for $1200. THe ony thing is that it needs a water pump. Is it worth the buy? How much other damage could have been done with the water pump damaged? and how hard is it to replace the water pump?
- Fairly simple to swap out the pump, my questing is why did it go bad? How long was it driven without water cerculating in the block? Are the heads warped from overheating? I guess if you wanna take a chance and it goes good, you made out. Myself I dont think Camaros, Mustangs or any other sportscar should have a 6 cylinder. If your going to revamp the looks and style of it thats fine, but dont take away the V8
- Q: A water pump that consume 2kW of electric power when operating is claimedto take in water from a lake and pump it to a pool whose free surface is 30 m above the free surface of the lake at a rate of 50 L/s. Determine if this claim is reasonable. You have to show the minimum power required is 14.7 kWand i can't get it.
- A liter of water mas a mass of 1Kg. How much work must be done to raise 50 Kg of water through a height of 30 m? You can say: Work done (W) = potential energy gained (mgh), Or you can say that Work done is the weight force (mg) * the distance moved against the force (h) Either way, W = m * g * h where m is the mass; g is the acceleration due to gravity {9.8 m/s?}; h is the height W = 50 * 9.8 * 30 = 14700 J If you need to do that amount of work in one second, that's a rate of working of 14700 J/s A joule/second is a watt. Minimum power required = 14700 W = 14.7 kW
- Q: toyota prius 2002 inverter water pump where is located and how to replace and buy
- The manual pages JerryJ is referencing are HV-24 through HV-28. Essentially, you drain the coolant, remove the front bumper cover and the left head light assembly to expose the pump. It is held by two bolts and has one connector and two hoses. After replacement the coolant is refilled and the system must be burped. Those two nipples at the front of the inverter have to be used, but I haven't had success piping them back to the reservoir as the manual describes. I gravity feed them into a clean jar on the floor and recycle the fluid manually. When it is done you should see strong flow in the reservoir as you look in the top with the ignition on but not ready. The level usually drops after driving around the block - top it up and enjoy.
- Q: The garage told me my water pump was pumping quot;weaklyand needs to be replaced.
- Good question (finally). It will pump weakly if it is not turning fast enough or is leaking at a seal. If you have a faulty belt that is slipping it will not turn fast enough. Go to another mechanic.
- Q: Hello,I have a Kia Spectra, 4 doors, automatic, 1.8, 2002, 64000 miles, and the alternator belt just broke. It seems that there is a chance that the water pump was lost on the process.I looked on line and to buy from the dealership, these pieces together would cost me around $70.What would it be a fair price for the service? (thinking that I was unlucky enough to lose the water pump? How do I know if my water pump is good and they are only changing it to make me spend more money???I am a girl (foreign student), and don't understand of car, or know any repair shop that could take care of that...Thanks!!!
- Most shops are going to charge 2 hours labor to change the water pump, so if their labor rate is $55/hr, you will be looking at $110+ the cost of the belt water pump and coolant. Knowing that information, probably $225 would be a normal charge.Good Luck.
