What are the modifications required to petrol and diesel engines to make them run on bio gas.: I think that there are a number of firms in India which manufacture Bio Gas Generators so that you may be able to buy them directly instead of modifying your Diesel Generator into Bio-Gas Mode of functioning. Q: I have 6,500 gas generator to run two 12,500btu roof a/c units on my bus.Nothing but problem after problem with generator.I was advised to change unit out to diesel unit! Any advise on what size i should be looking for?: You don't say what the generator problems are. It may be undersized for the AC units you are trying to run plus other things you are trying to run. The AC unit may require all of the generator's capacity for about 2 seconds to start. So if one AC is running, there may not be enough capacity to start the second AC unit. What other things are you running off the generator at the same time? The 6,500 watt generator can only supply a maximum of 27 amps out of the 240 volt outlet or 15 amps out of each of the 120 volt outlets or any combination that does not exceed the 6,500 watt capacity of the generator. A diesel engine has nothing to do with the capacity of the generator. Diesel engines are used on larger capacity generators or continuous duty generator sets. The generator itself doesn't care what type of engine is spinning the rotor. Will the generator run just one of the units? If it does, then my thoughts are the generator doesn't have the capacity to run the loads you have.

Q: I am doing this project to find eco friendly alternatives for businesses. So how is electricity in it generated. Also.why is the pollution of water bad? I mean i realize that it kills marine life, and it affects biodiversity, but how does it affect the wold, or even us humans???: Newer cruise ships have diesel generators that produce enough electricity to run everything; water desalination plants, ships power, heating, recycling/garbage equipment, electric motors on pods that act both as propellers and thrusters so the ships don't need tugboats most of the time. Fish live in the water, people eat fish, someday we might have to have desalination plants for city water systems.

Q: i started work in a company and i have to maintain a fuel record of diesel generators.i need to know about this term,kindly answer me in good and easy manner and get 10 points.: The first two people to answer this question are both correct. They just explain it differently. Somewhere on the generator control panel, there is a meter that reads Hours on it. It is measuring (counting), in hours and tenths of an hour, how many hours the engine has been operating. It activates whenever the engine is turned on and deactivates when the engine is turned off. It's the best way to figure out when an engine needs service when you cant count its use in miles or kilometers.

Water pumps and gas pumps share the name, but that's about all they share. 2. The seals are different 3. the materials are different 4. The construction is different 5. Q: I live in southern Indiana, and am currently living through an awesome ice storm. Anyway, my parents bought a diesel powered portable generator. It is hooked into the main panel of the house. When you crank it up and turn the lights in the house on, they flicker, as does the TV screen. It has proper voltage on each leg of the 240. I brought my generator over and everything works fine. Any ideas?: if you hooked another generator to your panel and it worked fine the new generator is the problem. unless you changed the way you hooked it up. in that case look at your connections, closely at the ground for sure

Q: I am looking to run a 1200watt electrical generator using Hydrogen gas versus using Gasoline, Propane or Diesel. If anyone knows even where I can start looking towards steps or plans for something like this?: Do a search for methane (CH4) generation. There are many cattle farms that capture the methane gas from animal waste to power generators on their farms. There's a big dairy in Pennsylvania that does this, but I don't remember the name of the farm. I know methane isn't H2, but it's easier than pure hydrogen.
