Structure and operating principles of Portable Self-priming Single Suction Centrifugal Pump
Diesel engine driven self-priming pump is composed of diesel engine, coupling, pump body, impeller, rear cover, mechanicalseal, pump spindle, bearing block, imported pump, gas-liquid separator tube, water valve and drain connection. The structure of the pump is shown in the following figure.
Principle of operation: The pump body with fluid reservoir inside and the working chamber of the pump, being connected with each other through the reflowingvalve on the upper side and circulation valve beneath it, form the axial-flow outer recirculation system of the pump. When the pump stops working, it already has a volume of liquid reserve inside its fluid reservoir, when the pump runs, the liquid inside is ejected upward with the air flow under the function of impeller, then it reflows into the working cavity through the gas-liquid separator tube, at the same time, the gas is exhausted out of the pump, which makes the pump vacuumed inside so as to get self-priming realized.
Preparations of Portable Self-priming Single Suction Centrifugal Pump
Check the fasteners of the joint parts, such as the pump seat, the coupling and the bearing carrier, and make sure that they would not loosen. If any of them get loose, you should fasten them.
Check the connecting pipes and make sure that there is no gas leakage.
Switch on the water valve on the top of the pump, add a volume of water, which is no less than 2/3 of the pump volume. Then switch off the water valve. The next time you start the pump, you never need to do water-injection anymore.
Get the power line of the storage battery routed to the power source , when the diesel engine is power-on, press down the starting button of the meter panel, give it a test run to see if it rotates clockwise (counterclockwise rotation is prohibited).
Starting up: Add antifreezingsolution to the water tank of the diesel engine, and fill the fuel tank with diesel oil, then add some lubricating oil (labeled 10w-40)to the engine. Route the power line of the starter to the storage battery and pay attention to the positive and negative poles.

Do you have self-priming pumps?
Yes, our product portfolio also includes two ranges of self-priming pumps: self-priming electric pumps and self-priming side channel pumps.
Is it really necessary to fit a bleed valve for the boxes?
It is always best to have a bleed valve as the gas produced by the fermenting sewage is potentially hazardous.
- Q: i took off the lower unit to fix the gears. im not sure ill be able to put it back on with out knowing how things work in there.so how exactly does the water get pumped. and what does it have to do with the gears, because even though the prop wasn't turning, the water was still pumping.thanks.
- The drive shaft turns with the engine and turns the impeller which picks up water and pushes it into the power head and exhaust There is a pick up in the foot
- Q: Who knows? Is the motor with a pump a squirrel cage induction motor?
- The motor with water pump is usually squirrel cage asynchronous motorThe squirrel cage asynchronous motor structure and single-phase asynchronous three-phase asynchronous motor of three-phase asynchronous motor motor is similar with a three-phase winding embedded in the stator slot (a single chain, single-layer concentric and cross layer structure of three kinds). The stator winding access three-phase AC power, rotating magnetic field winding current and induced current in the rotor conductor, the interaction of rotor current and air gap induction in rotating magnetic field, and electromagnetic counter (asynchronous transfer cabinet), the motor rotation.Three-phase asynchronous motor. It consists of two parts, stator and rotor. The air gap is between the stator and rotor. Rotor winding is used to generate induction potential, squirrel cage asynchronous motor, Jingjiang Ming art spring factory and produce electromagnetic torque, it is divided into squirrel cage and winding type two. Squirrel cage rotor winding is their winding short circuit, a conductor on the rotor in each slot discharge (material is copper or aluminum), than in the long core conductor, two ends of the iron core with two end ring conductor, the formation of short circuit winding. If the core is removed, the remaining windings are like squirrel cage, so it is called squirrel cage winding.Advantages and disadvantages of squirrel cage asynchronous motorsThe squirrel cage induction motor has the advantages of simple structure, easy manufacture, low cost and convenient operation and maintenance. It is widely used in industry and agriculture as the prime mover of electric drive. Its disadvantage is the poor speed performance and small starting torque, so some other types of motors are used in some situations which require smooth speed regulation and large starting torque.
- Q: Water pump. A drip on the edge of the pump or drip on the ground. Serious concern on which one?
- any water pump leak can be fatal to an engine, replace asap
- Q: I have an 02 Gran Prix and my water pump is going out. With the recession I don't have the money to take it in. So can anyone give step by step instructions to help me fix it. I am a do it yourself kinda of guy so I am mechanically inclined. What tools will I'll need? is there a timing chain? How long will you think it will take me? Any thing i should pay attention to? How can I measure the pounds of torque that I put on the bolts or what tool will I'll need? Please help!!!
- WP replacement mini-writeup 1. Empy Coolant from Radiator drain 2. Remove SC and Acc. belts 3. Remove the coolant resevoir tank 3. Remove the Idler pulley with a 15mm 4. Remove the 4 WP pulley bolts with a 8mm 5. Remove the 2 Power Steering Pump bolts with a 13mm(bolts are at 12:00 and 6:00 accessable through the PS pulley holes) 6. Push PS pump 1 inch to the side 7. Remove all 8 WP bolts with a 13mm and a 10mm(3 are 13mm/5 are 10mm) 8. Collect extra coolant until flow stops(a few cups) 9. Apply RTV to both sides of the gasket and WP bolts 10. WP bolts should be torqued to 11lbs+80*/Idler pulley bolt at 36lbs/WP pulley bolts at ~9lbs 11. Reinstall everything and fill the coolant back up 12.
- Q: i want details and requirement of it in water pump
- A okorder
- Q: Im considering installing an electric water pump in my car and i dont know much about electric water pumps yet so if you could tolerate a couple of dumb questions....? are electric water pumps reliable enough to be put into a daily driver (i just used the meziere name as an example, its the only name i am familiar with in electric water pumps)? i realise what the engine is basically done if the water pump goes.... could a change this small ever show up on either mpg or hp readings for a 200hp v6? finally, if the electric water pump just isnt worth the reliability risk, would a water pump underdrive pully do (almost) the same job of freeing work from the engine without putting the motor in harms way? thanks!
- Yes, Meziere makes a good pump although, I have a CSR on the 496ci in my Chevelle and it works great too! ADDED: Yes, I only drive this car 2 to 3 times a week.
- Q: I have oil all over my water pump. I investigated when I saw a few drops of oil in the garage that showed up every few days. I then saw a drop of clean radiator fluid. Does oil come near or through the water pump? I have a 96 nissan maxima if that helps.
- STUPID ANSWERS, these answers sound like ****, something a rip off shop would say. 1- buy engine degreaser, and go to the car wash or in the drive if you want to. 2- let the car warm ou, then turn it off and spray the degreaser every where theres oil and dirt. 3- Let stand about 10mins 4- turn the engine back one and use the pressured water (CAR WASH) to wash off the cleaner. You might have to repeat the soaking a few times depending on how long its been leaking. 5- once clean, you can either just let it idle in the drive way or go drive around alittle to see if you can get the oil leak to start again to see where its coming from. Once you find the leak either fix it or just take it to a respectable shop and get a quote for the repair. Dont start assuming that theres a huge problem. It sounds like its just the valve covers, but theres afew possible things that could leak on it. Do this and it will help you find any possible leaks.
- Q: Why does the water pump in the tank pull out the power supply and then plug it in?
- After the water pump of the fish tank pulls out the power supply, it is plugged in again. The possible reasons for the non pumping of water are as follows:1, power failure, please check the power supply contact is normal.2, continuous cycle interrupt, this is the pump design reasons, and more appear in the waterfall filter, once the electricity can not automatically restart, need to pump the water in the artificial vessel.3, air embolism, this is the pump design reasons, and more appear in the waterfall bucket filter, once the electricity can not automatically restart, the need for manual pressing to exhaust.4, the water pump is stuck with debris, in the continuous flow of water, debris to the same direction, once the pump stop, debris position change may be stuck water pump, remove, wash it.5, severe wear, which requires a new pump.
- Q: I just bought a 1997 Honda Civic, done about 85k. There is no record of the timing belt having ever been changed so I want to get this done as a priority. My usual mechanic can't do it for a month due to other commitments so I have been ringing round for quotes, and generally these have all been to change the belt quot;plus the kit- which makes sense, change the lot while you are in there.Surprisingly, the cheapest quote I have had was from my local Honda dealer, however, they have said this is for the belt only as they don't change the tensioner/water pump on this model. Are they full of it? I'm not sure whether to take this as expertise from the car's manufacturer or total BS from some chancer trying to make money from us having to come back when other things go wrong!
- We have owned Honda's for years, including three 90's Civics. We have had the timing belts changed by the dealer also - also the cheapest price - and they have always recommended changing the tensioner and the water pump while in there. The timing belt is such a critical piece of equipment that is should be changed on schedule. The new belts go much longer than the old belts. But it's only a hundred more at most to have the water pump replaced at the same time so make them do it. If you water pump goes out in another 20000 miles, the labor charge to get to it will be 400 or 500 bucks. Most dealerships will do the water pump for parts cost markup if they are also doing your timing belt. You can also negotiate your price with a dealership. Try it. If they won't budge, find a new dealer.
- Q: I have a 1994 Plymoth Grand voyager and it is loosing anti freeze it was a little leak now I can't see it leaking but it is empty could it be the water pump? It does get hot now. what other things happen when your water pump is going out does the heater not get hot anymore?
- If okorder /.. This site will help you determine if the pump is going out. Question: is there an intense sweet smell? If so, your head gasket(s)may be where the leak resides. Most of the leak would burn from the hot engine causing the sweet smell. Does your vehicle overheat? How fast does the coolant drain? Due to cramped space for a minivan, I can understand how you can't see it leaking.
