- Q:I am tired of all the dust and lint, on my old cloth sofa, and was thinking of getting leather, but my small dogs might scratch it. Does anybody have a micro fiber sofa, and does the dust, and lint stick to it? And how is it keeping it clean? - I'd go for the leather. I have a good quality light tan leather couch that I bought 35 years ago, it's still in almost perfect condition, I've always had 2/3 small dogs.There's a small mark on one of the cushions from a wet rawhide bone that dried and stuck to the leather. There's a navy blue, medium grade leather couch in my TV room that's 20 years old, the dogs always pile on it at night, it's in fair condition.

- I think its the scent of you guys that your dog is liking not to mention who doesnt love to sleep on a sofa. Try taking a blanket or a pillow with your scent on it and put it in your dogs new bed. Dogs tend to not like new things without a smell. Give it a try!

- This material is extremely durable, wears well, and cleans very easily and very well. It's a great choice if you have children or pets or are in the habit of eating/drinking on your sofa and expect the occasional spill. Usually a damp cloth works but even grimy and matted fabric can be cleaned up with the help of some fabric cleaner. The hand marking is inevitable because the material has a pile. There is no way to prevent this. Agreed it's not the best look but you can get rid of it by brushing the pile in one direction then look but don't touch!

- This is a new one on me...any couch I have ever bought was assembled in a furniture factory and delevered by the company I bought it from...nothing self assembled!
