- Q: I just gotta a new sofa bed today. And about 10 minutes ago I was trying to get it into my room. It just so happens that it won't go through my door way. Ok well it would fit through my doorway but it wont turn into my bedroom from the hallway because i have a small hallway.
- Measure the height of the door, it should longer than the width of your sofa bed. Put the sofa bed straight up, that is the legs are not sit on the floor, the width is now the height, if you have sliding pads put it under . Slide the back support portion in first, then turn the seat with the legs at an angle and push into the room. Ask someone to help you too. Don't use too much force, otherwise you will do damage on the wall or the sofa bed.

- Costic sofa? Do you mean caustic soda? It's also known as lye and sodium hydroxide. It's an ingredient in many soaps, so if it's diluted properly it can clean your face. But if not diluted properly, it can quite literally eat your skin away, never mind the upper layer. Unless you find a recipe for what you want to do, I wouldn't touch it. I don't know that chemical peeling of your skin is something that's a DIY thing.
- Q: i have a coach and 2 sofas ,cannot afford to buy new ones so i wanna do it yourself renew them has anyone ever done that and if there is anytips out there or a website that helps u get started . the fabric on it is ripped in more then one place i sewed it but withthe kids and the stretching it still rerips or stretches and doesnt look right ,, when u sit on it it feels like u fall into it ,i fixed one coach by re tightening the metals inside the coach it was ok but too high so if anytips please help
- You can buy slip covers, or get it reupholstered (not inexpensive). But if the cushions and support are worn then there is not much help for that. Making it look pretty is still going to be an uncomfortable sitting experience sinking into the holes and broken supports. To repair that would cost you as much ot buy a new lower end couch and chair. Search the ads in the Sunday paper or search Craigslist in the better suburbs of your area. Often you can find good clean stuff for cheap with enough patience.

- Q: My husband and I recently bought a house and I am in the process of painting and decorating. The previous owners left their sofa and love seat. The sofa is brown and the material is almost suede-like. I really like the sofa, but the love seat is HIDEOUS. It has a horrible pattern of pinks and greens, and it is torn in some places. I would just toss it, but it is super comfortable. Instead, I am going to buy a slipcover for it. My question is, should I get a matching brown cover, or would a light beige one look okay with it. It is a smallish living room with old hardwood floors that doesn't get a ton of light. Eventually I want to paint it a pale blue with white trim. So what do you think? Would the beige be better to avoid bringing more dark colors into the room or would they look weird together? Thanks in advance!
- A beige slipcover would be perfect!! It would coordinate well with the sofa and also lighten up the room since it gets little light. You might add a standing light or some table lamps to bring more light to the room, too. You could tie in the sofa and loveseat by adding toss pillows in the same colors to each one. So apricot and yellowish cream for a warm color scheme or light blue and sage green for a cooler color scheme. I like your couch color!! : }
