- This material is extremely durable, wears well, and cleans very easily and very well. It's a great choice if you have children or pets or are in the habit of eating/drinking on your sofa and expect the occasional spill. Usually a damp cloth works but even grimy and matted fabric can be cleaned up with the help of some fabric cleaner. The hand marking is inevitable because the material has a pile. There is no way to prevent this. Agreed it's not the best look but you can get rid of it by brushing the pile in one direction then look but don't touch!

- its almsot always a bad idea to was the cushion covers in the washing machine. The covers get distorted, they no longer fit like they are suposed to the seams will not line up it looks weird. You can always tell when someone does this. The handheld steamer will work better, however with micro-fibre you cannot spot clean, its very noticable if you do. You will have to clean the whole sofa. The good news is micro-fibre is almost always heavily stainguarded which means stains clean out of it very easily

- If it's not going to be used very often, go with a regular sofa. All of the sleeper sofas I've seen have broken within a year or two. As stated above, they weigh a ton and are a major pain to move. If you buy a comfortable sofa, people won't mind sleeping on that when you have company. Sleepers aren't worth the hassle!

- ok a cow is a cow is a cow etc . i dont care if the cows from italy spain france hes still a dang ole cow . ok now get the thick leather and use conditioner on it all the time. i have leather in my trucks and on my sofa. but do you get my point they say its italian leather to make it sound like you should pay more. leather is made the same everywhere there is no other way to make it better
