- Q: I want to entirely paint a Sofa and Wingback........ and im scared lol !!!....?Ok.... I have a old Sofa and matching chairs. Ive recently had a large patio cover installed over the rear of my house and would like to use the furniture...... and make it like a living room in the backyard... I'm thinking of painting the sofa and chairs and would like to use a paint that will make the furniture somewhat weatherproof as well..... The furniture will be under the very large patio cover..... so it will not be rained on at all, but will be exposed to humidity, condensation, ...... and pool water on the tushy..lol Sooo.... Is there a paint that i can use to paint the sofa and chairs entirely .... something that would give the furniture a waterproofing....rubber like coating?? thus changing indoor furniture .... to outdoor furniture.....Thank for reading....
- The table: no problem. Sand it and use exterior latex paint in your color of choice. The chairs and sofa: problem. You are never going to keep the moisture out of the stuffing/padding no matter what you apply to the upholstery. You might be able to use them outdoors for one season but after that they are going to be moldy. If you can find a humidity resistant stuffing material I would suggest stripping the chair and sofa to the frame, re-stuff them and re-upholster in one of the newer weather resistant fabrics. I would waterproof the wood frame first and paint any exposed wood with exterior latex. Good luck!

- When you take a cushion off the sofa, is it a perfect rectangle, or does it have a little bump where it goes in front of the sofa arm? If it does have the bump, it is a T-style sofa cushion.
- Q: I had a fat friend visit, and at one point he looked out the window while kneeling improperly on the sofa. Now the sofa is very wobbly. The wooden support legs are wobbling like crazy. How do I stabilize them?
- Some sofas you can unscrew the support legs, he may have just stripped a little bit of the wood inside that normally holds the screw tight. If its really bad you can get some profession-all wood putty, refill it then drill a bit out and re-screw the leg on. If the actual screw/bolt of the leg is trashed sometimes you can get to the nut from a small hole at the bottom of the leg, remove and just put a new one in. If everything else fails, make yourself a new leg, doesn't even have to be fancy just a block of wood. You can put metal straps from the leg to the frame if you don't feel like drilling through the leg and up into the frame for a bolt/screw deal.

- I have a raised looped patterned fabric on my livingroom suite....dog or cat hair does not stick to it.. this material. I cannot have leather as cat claws (just jumping up and down from the furniture) will ruin it..hair sticks to microfibre and it shows stains... I am really happy with this material...it is the best in my eyes.

- Q: My 14 y/o step daughter (a bedwetter) fell asleep on my new sofa. Needles to say, as she wasn't wearing a goodnite/diaper, she had an accident on the sofa. - my daughter used to wet the bed, and it is not their fault. so I say no. she might need a minor punishment for not remembering put the diaper on, because that was her fault. But then again if you think about it if you get tired and accidently fall asleep there's not much you can do. It was an accident. I made my daughter go pee everynight before bed like made sure she peed and to stop drinking anything after 8 and before I knew it she stopped peeing in the bed! - There are many things that go into affect in a leather sofa or sofa. 1. Construction- 5/4 thick solid oak or maple hardwood frame is the industry premium. The spring construction is very important and its gauge (meaning desity of metal) The bests spring construction is a coil spring like eight way hand tied or any other coil spring system. Note some coil springs have low wire gauge get what you pay for. No sag or sinous spring is also used and will do good as along as the gauge is good and frame is sturdy. Feel the frame and around for sturdness. 2. Leather quality. Alot of companies might use a cheaper leather or not a true leather. Top grain is the only way to go. Top grain needs to be at least on the seat, back and arms of the sofa. A company can use split leather on the side and back cause it will not be used, but it will wear evenly. 3. Why did your friends leather fade. Well did they take care of it? Was it a naturally characteristic of the leather? Remember you buy leather shoes and purses they too can fade. 4 Who is the manufacture and 1200 seems really affordable for a leather sofa. Remember a pair of leather boots can cost $300 dollars and a leather sofa has 10 times more stitching, padding and leather so 1200 is not very expensive.
