Q: my son used to sleep in his bed but some reasons he wont now.he sleeps on sofa we done taken him to bed done all the stories etc,he just wont stay in bed he gets out starts screaming we put him to bed he carrys on,that its upsetting my other son ,he falls asleep on sofa and leave him as we think unfair to upset him and other son,we have tryed so much,we have talked about why he dosent want to sleep.he given us a few reasons.we have reassured him but it dosent work.: Assuming that you are bigger than he is, take him off the sofa and put in his bed, no matter how many times it takes.

I have green walls and hardwood floors and I'm going to put a 9x12 rug down.So tell me would it work or is it a no no?: ya know a leather recliner almost always accents a fabric couch but the opposite i think is a no no

Q: Also for a rocker recliner (chair), is there usually a lock mechanism to stop the rocking?: All depends on the sofa. We had one that had a both recliners on one end and a pull out bed on the other. It was a sectional. If it's a smaller sofa, probably just the two ends. And I don't think a rocker recliner will have a mechanism to keep it from rocking... It just won't rock while it's reclined.

Q: I've just thrown a sofa away due to mice nesting there and i'd like to know how to protect my new leather one. I have taken all other precautions to avoid mice but wondered if there's a spray or anything i can use as a deterrent? Thank you: You don't have a pest problem? really? Seems to me like mice nesting in your sofa and concerns about them doing the same to the new one would qualify. There are plug-in rodent chasers .... and some of them actually work. Try plugging a few in around your home and they should chase the mice out of your house pretty well.

Q: My 19 year old step son ate a greasy breakfast, sitting on my fine designer sofa. He knows NOT to eat any thing sitting on the sofa, and that he is to sit at the table, or bar, when eating. ( His dad and I were out of town.) His plate spilled on to the sofa, and he smeared the food on it, trying to clean it up. The sofa is now stained. Q: HM Ausin high back sofa in need of new leather seating cushion covers, otherwise it looks good. Is it worth the money and how much would should I expect to spend?: You will NEVER match the leather, so don't even consider that remedy. However, HM is a very good quality sofa, so I would highly consider having the seat back cushions reupholstered in a rich tapestry fabric. The look is very fashionable the cost will be RELATIVELY minimal. Call the best upholsterer you can afford cause this will be a worthwhile investment.

Q: My wife and I purchased a velvet chenille sofa a while back, and have noticed that whenever any liquid (even just water) gets on the sofa, it leavs a spot. We tried cleaning one of these spots with the cleaner we were given, and it only made the spot bigger.Unfortunatley we seem to be on the losing side of a battle with the waranty company, so I think we're on our own to get the spots out. Can anyone offer any advice on getting rid of these spots. The makeup of the chenille is :48% Rayon, 28% Polyester, and 24% cotton if that helps.Thank you so much in advance.: I would try Rubbing alcohol and water, 1/4Th alcohol to 1/2 water. use in a place you don't see if it works your in business and you can increase the amount. This combination usually gets all stains out. I would follow with a steam cleaning.

Q: There are very few obstacles inside or outside the doorway. The legs may come off of the sofa, but I'm not sure? Will professionals be able to get this sofa through one of my doors and into my house?: It will almost certainly fit for a couple of reasons. A furniture manufacturer would soon find itself out of business if it made things that couldn't fit through a standard door, which yours is. Even though the numbers don't seem to add up and that it appears that the dimensions of the sofa are bigger than your door, all it takes is to bring the thing in at an angle and it will go in without a problem. In rare cases, the feet of the piece or a door may have to be removed from its' hinges, but those aren't hard to accomplish and will not slow the process down much. Delivery people with a little experience will know the tricks to make large objects fit into tight doorways without damaging anything. I've moved things up stairs and around seemingly insurmountable obstacles with a little finesse and forethought. Sometimes you have to tip a sofa up on end as well as on its' edge in order to get it through a particularly tight spot, but it is rare. I wouldn't worry as it sounds like your situation is a lot better than some, and the delivery guys will have no problem with it. You're right to be concerned, and it's probably a good idea to remove any possible obstacles prior to them showing up, like wall hangings, lamps, and anything they can trip over. Blankets to protect stair railings and floors isn't a bad thing to have on hand, too. A cup of coffee and a $10 - 20 tip isn't out of the question, either, if they do a good job without breaking anything and are courteous and careful. Not a requirement, but a really nice gesture because furniture delivery is a strenuous job under the best of circumstances. By the way, if I didn't mention it before, the sofa will fit through the door with no problem.
