- Q:It was an expensive Sofa and one of the connectors is broken so it keeps moving apart. Can anyone tell me where to get a replacement part so I can fix it myself?
- There could be two solutions to your problem: 1. Is the sofa under warranty? If so, return to the seller and ask what can be done. 2. Call the manufacturer and ask for the replacement part. Somewhere on your sofa, probably under the seat cushions, you will find the name of the manufacturer. I hope you have satisfactory results.

In this instance, the kid gets caught. It's a 1st person narrative told by the kid who is in the sofa ready to pop out and steal things from the buyer's house. Got it?
- Q:I live alone in a bachelor flat, and I want to buy a couch for my living area.I want a couch that can last for a long time (durable) and a couch that requires little maintenance as far as cleaning it is concerned. - Leather sounds fine. You won't really have to worry about damage that much if you don't have pets or children around. Quality is most important, leather or otherwise. We scrimped and bought a cheap sofa, it has a removable slip-cover that is easy to clean, but we are regretting our cheap purchase. A good quality sofa will age much better. Keep the colour neutral and it will also stand the test of time with any decor changes you might make in the future too.

- I have successfully removed odors from fabric covered furniture (including skunk odor and urine) by using my air purifier that produces a gas similar to ozone. I make a tent over the piece of furniture with a sheet or blanket and then put the purifier under the tent. After a few hours, the smell is gone and it never comes back!

- If you like to sew and are pretty good at it... maybe you would like to just make a slip cover? I would go to the library and check out some books on reupholstering.... depending on the style it might be hard. My mom made a slip cover to cover the body of her sofa and then sewed pillow case around the loose pillows so it didn't look like a slip cover (like one piece of fabric draped over it.)

- I bought a used off-white leather sofa off of craigslist in 2008. It was very dirty. What I did - and in retrospect, this might not be a safe way to clean leather - but it worked GREAT for me: I used Dawn Dish detergent. I put some Dawn Dish Detergent in a pan of warm water, soaked a cloth - wrung it out good and then wiped the sofa - I wiped with a dry towel immediately after wiping with the wet cloth. Amazing, the process easily removed all of the grime on the sofa and it still looks GREAT today. I did condition the leather every 3 months or so in 2008-2009 using a leather conditioning product that I found at walmart - i don't remember the name of the product - but it was about $8.00 for a small jar. The leather conditioner helped make the sofa softer. I didn't experience any harmful effects from using the Dawn Deteregent - and I was careful in not saturating the sofa with the soapy water.
