Q: Here are the details of measurements:Sofa: 75 W x 36 D x 30 H (28 with legs off).Doorway: 29 W x 79 HHallway leading to doorway: 29 W x 90 H.All measurements in inches. Not concerned about other entry ways. Basically, seems to me that I should be able to pivot the sofa in through the door If I stand it on its end, put the back in the door first and then pivot the seat portion in.Any thoughts from any movers out there?: Is the hallway a straight shot? If it curves at the door you will have more difficulty. Also, do you have a straight shot after you get through the door? If the sofa is material and stuffed you have a little more give. You stand the chance of damaging the sofa a little also on the door facing especially if it is leather. You should be able to fit it in. It is a lot easier if you have more than one person moving the sofa.

Q: Im looking at slipcovers for my couch on ebay. Some say they dont fit t-style sofas, but how can i tell if thats what i have? Q: i am not sure what product to use to clean the sofa, any ideas on what household products would be good to use...: I bought a used off-white leather sofa off of craigslist in 2008. It was very dirty. What I did - and in retrospect, this might not be a safe way to clean leather - but it worked GREAT for me: I used Dawn Dish detergent. I put some Dawn Dish Detergent in a pan of warm water, soaked a cloth - wrung it out good and then wiped the sofa - I wiped with a dry towel immediately after wiping with the wet cloth. Amazing, the process easily removed all of the grime on the sofa and it still looks GREAT today. I did condition the leather every 3 months or so in 2008-2009 using a leather conditioning product that I found at walmart - i don't remember the name of the product - but it was about $8.00 for a small jar. The leather conditioner helped make the sofa softer. I didn't experience any harmful effects from using the Dawn Deteregent - and I was careful in not saturating the sofa with the soapy water. So can somone help me find out.: When you estimate yardage for reupholstery on a sofa you have to take into consideration the pattern of the fabric and the style of the sofa and the size of the sofa. In order to get exact yardage requirement, you'll need to have whoever is going to recover your sofa give you an estimate. Any professional upholsterer can do that. A hint...if you are using a fabric that is just a solid color something, have the upholsterer railroad the fabric (meaning the fabric runs on the sofa the way it comes off the bolt). You will use less fabric and have less seams. It only works with solids, though. If you try to do it with a pattern, it looks like the pattern is turned on it's side. A good rule of thumb for most medium sized (84 long) is to allow about 20-25 yards.
