- Q: Building installation problems, beginners, many problems need to be solved, thank you!
- Because each manufacturer's label is different, the country although some specifications, but not enforced, so purely from the literal meaning is difficult to explainWe will try to solve the following problems:WQ-- sewage submersible pump80-- outlet diameter of water pump40 - M /h fand flow15 lift M1600 speed, r/min4Kw powerAs for J, Y is rated as sealed form and waterproof gradeI don't know whether it is correct or not
- Q: Weap seal is starting to leak and getting some noise from the water pump. These cars are not as easy as a 1969 Camaro to change the water pump. Can you please give me some guidance? Thx in advance.
- It's easier than you think. Pull front covers off under hood that cover radiator area. One is a plastic guard and under that is the metal support. Pull electric fan out by onbolting it from sides and 2 clips on top and eletrical connector. Now you have room to work. Loosen belts by losening bolt in center of pulley then loosen them by turning adjustment bolt. pull off belts then pull off these pullies with their brackets as one unit off front cover. Take off front covers by taking off 10mm bolts. Crank area has a triangle shaped plate and you can and just loosen bottom 10mm bolt and take off the two above. now slide cover up and you can see water pump. Set cams on their marks for reference, they have a dot on cams and a slot on housings. loosen timing belt tensioner on bottom of engine and evenly pull bolts to get slack on timing belt about one inch should be enough. now you can pull pump off and slide it out being carefull not to let belt slip on cams and lose timing. install the same way, then slowly turn each bolt up on hydrolic tensioner to ease tensioner center pin back to position. make sure timing marks are ok then put everthing back by reverse order. Or you can also pull radiator and bottom crank pulley with a 3 jaw puller and replace belt with new one. This involves pulling out tensioner also. tensioner can be collapsed in vice slowly then use suitable pin to go through cener pin and its case to keep it collapsed, set on new belt and pull pin after tensioner is installed to set belt tension. I hope this helps, Iv'e done this on a few 3.5 litres my self. GOOD LUCK.
- Q: I would like information to use an automotive water pump to ( or possibly another device ) to pump water approximately 60 feet (20 meters) elevation from creek without electricity. I only need enough water for 25 chickens. So we are not talking about a households supply of water.
- I agree, the bucket sounds like a better idea, but if you're intent on using a pump, try this. There are several manufacturers who make small (about the size of a coffee mug) portable pumps that hook to garden hoses, and run off of drill power. You can use a cordless drill, so you don't need power at the pump. The pumps are a few dollars, and available at most old fashioned hardware stores. Try Sears. I've also seen an old style hand pump fitted with a garden hose fitting. You can rig a bracket to hold the pump over the water, with the inlet in the water, and use muscle power to pump the water to your chickens. No idea where to buy it though. I hope that helps
- Q: Hi I really need a USB water pump (small). I have found one in China but they need payment in a different currency so its proving difficult. I would much prefer a US/EUROPE seller. Cheers.PSgt; If I had to pay to get the power supply changed from wire to USB then I could if anyone knows who could do this.
- The USB output has a 5V power supply. USB2 delivers up to 500mA and later versions may be 900mA. USB hubs start off with less than this (100mA) but change as they are initialised. Some dedicated USB charging ports supply up to 1.8A. There are some USB power cables that take the output from 2 ports in a sort of Y harness (first link for example). The result of all this is that only a very small pump would run from most USB ports. I did find 2 rated at 5W and 8W but the voltage was not shown. I suspect they were mains operation, meant for large water bottles. If they were 5V they would use 1A and 1.6A respectively, so only run from special USB charge points or double cables, and only in some cases anyway. I assume you want to run from a Laptop/Notebook battery for convenience. The point is that even if the USB port can supply the correct voltage and current the battery would be emptied very quickly. It is probably cheaper to get a suitable pump, then power it from a separate and more suitable rechargeable battery or mains adaptor (wall wart), whatever it takes, taking into account how long it should run with a single charge. This is about the battery voltage and the capacity in ampere hours - the number of hours it can supply a given current. D size rechargeable (Ni-MH) would run a 6V x 6W motor using 1A for about 6 hours. C size cells are half that, and AA cells about half again. It takes 4 cells to get 5V. Get them as a pack though or at least with a battery holder, as they cannot be soldered. Then you need a proper charger. Recent laptop/notebook batteries are lithium ion types, 10.8V and 4.8Ah, so deliver 1A @10.8V for 4h more or less. Other types worth considering are for cordless drills.
- Q: PROline Dishwasher has Broken down, after a detailed Examination of the appliance we have managed to conclude it is the Water Pump, I'm looking to find a new one to repair it myself but would like to know if any make one would fit, as Finding a PROline Water Pump has proven Great Difficulty, Any Knowledge of the matter would be greatly appreciated, Thank you
- Before you replace the pump, make sure that the hose to the pump is not blocked with food. This is a common problem. You probably have to match pump for pump. Google the part on line, they will mail it to you. OR check the yellow pages for dishwasher parts, they will answer you questions, and usually tell you how to fix it if you buy the part from them.
- Q: In the design specifications, for example, the water pump requirement is two. What does that mean? Can 3 pumps be opened at once?
- Use 2 units and reserve 1 units. You can open 2 at the same time. Can three drive at the same time, depending on your water pipe layout, whether there are three sets of pipes, yes, three units open at the same time.
- Q: 97 izusu rodeo has constant squeal after timing belt, water pump and all belts being replaced what could be the cause. It sounds pretty bad.
- If the water pump has been replaced I would suspect either the alternator, the belt tensioner, or the A/C compressor. It's usually one of the first two and not the later, but check all three. It's an izusu so my guess is the alternator barring is worn out. Generally, In my experience, the power steering pump will not squeal unless it's ran low on fluid. The barring in the power steering pumps are usually submerged in the power steering fluid. I could be wrong but I'd check the tensioner and alternator first. Also check any idler wheels.
- Q: Help?Water is to be pumped to the top of a skyscraper. If the pump can create a gauge pressure (pressure above atmospheric pressure) of 8.50E+5 Pa, what is the height of the tallest building that it can service? DATA: g=9.8 m/s^2

- Q: Hey I need to pump water from a river and use be able to use it through a hose and also make the hose have pressure. I was thinking pump the water into a barrel and into a hose or something from there? Anyone know anything about if this would work? What would I need? thanks
- buy a submersible water pump. they are the best and longest runing with high pressure. also they are portable and u can take out any time. they are applicable in sea , rivers, very deep pumping etc. but remember to wrap it with a light and silky cloth to prevent the sand going in to it before use in sea and rivers. u dont need a barrel or tank. As they re not heating, they can work continuously even for a years.u can operate from a distance, much pressure than any centrigugal pump. hope it heps. good luck.........
- Q: A mechanic replaced my timing and other belts on my 2001 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cylinder today but not water pump. He said the water pump looked good. All the other mechanics I talked to told me they had to replace the water pump. This mechanic said the belts were not connected to the water pump in this car and therefore the water pump was ok. The car has about 100500 miles on it. Is this bad or should I call him back and ask him why he didn't change the water pump. I don't want to pay more later.
- Replacing a water pump may or may not be correct, if it's not leaking or noisy then it is still serviceable. The issue is more of a preventative maintenance issue. It will likely fail, and when it does, you must remove all the parts involved with the timing belt job to access it, so you incur the labor cost twice. I recommend a water pump be done at the second Timing belt or around 120K miles, if not done sooner. also the tensioner pulley/s at that time as a safety practice, some engines use hydraulic tensioners that are prone to failure (early mitsu's). There is no way of saying how long the water pump will last, and when it does fail, it's usually an inconvenience.
