Q: I just opened up the water pump on my '86 cr250 and found it to be pretty dry. Found out why as soon as I threw some light on it. Yep, all but a TINY hole in both hose nipples (?) are completely gunked up in some nice light green/white crap.Does anybody know what this is? Okay obviously it's coolant, but why is it so dry? What causes it? My bike never quot;overheatedquot;, but there's very little travel room for the liquid. What should I do now? Clean it out and run new water through it?
Appears your cooling system has not been flushed for years thus the build-up of slime, (seems maybe even 'dry-slime'). The cooling system should be flushed clean, a new water pump and gaskets installed.
Q: Yesterday morning I was looking under my hood and I noticed that I was leaking water. It looked like the leak was coming from the water pump.I had to get to work, which is close by so I topped off the radiator and went to work. When I got to work I looked under the car and saw no leaking. I figured the radiator had ran dry although the car hadn't overheated, After work I started to fill the radiator to get home. I saw that I had leaked a little fluid but not much. I topped it off and picked up my son then went home. No overheating. No leaking. Today I've ran several errands and I've had no problems. What do you think was going on with my water pump yesterday?
the seal in the water pump is going bad causing it to leak witch i would probably have the water pump replaced
Q: Weap seal is starting to leak and getting some noise from the water pump. These cars are not as easy as a 1969 Camaro to change the water pump. Can you please give me some guidance? Thx in advance.
The water pump is interior the middle of the front of engine and is pushed via the timing belt. There are brackets and covers, plus cooling followers and so on, to eliminate earlier attending to the pump. no longer a undesirable interest, and way much less annoying than doing the two head gaskets on that ingredient.
Q: What are the brands of air conditioning pumps?
Italy Calpeda CalpedaDaneWellerGermany KSBAmerican ITTCanton water pumpSouthern water pump
Q: Water pump
get a chevy better car FORD found on road dead . ha ha ha haha!
Q: We had to have our well pump replaced yesterday, how long before the well settles down, and the water tastes like it used to?The company who replaced the pump told us when changing a pump it disturbs the well, and it would take time for everything to settle back into place. Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.
There are several things that contribute to settling down. If the pump was the only thing changed and not the depth it will no doubt take a couple of weeks. How far off the bottom of the vein of water does the pipe begin. Another factor is the type of soil. Sandy soil will generally run clear in a shorter period of time. If you have clay soil it will take longer. Another factor is the time of year. Given the fact that the water tables themselves change during the course of the year and depends on where you live. For example, If you've lived there for a few years you've probably noticed that you get more rust in your water in January and August. A not so good scenario would be that the water vein is changing or diminishing and that's why the pump went out in the first place. But, that is something the well people should have checked for. I would find out from them how deep the vein is and how far off bottom you are. That's something you should know anyway. Many if not all States require this information to be given to them and is recorded when a new well is bug. You can probably access the information on-line at your States website. However, I would still ask the well people for the information in case the information is not required by your state. This way they would have a better recollection of any particulars.
Q: Ok, simple question, on a 1992 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. The water pump sucks water (not push) through the heater core correct? So the flow of water goes from the block, through the heater core, into the water pump, right?
wrong...... water pump..... means it pumps water.... the hose that comes off the water pump pumps water through the heater core and back out the the thermostat. if i remember if u dont have any over heating issues then dont worry about it...... if it dosent over heat theres not a problem..... the water pump is bad if its leaking or the bearings are bad.
Q: My old pump burned up so i recently replaced it (with a refurbished pump) I have new pipe to the pump, new tank. my pump is a 1/2 hp 230v pump, I also replaced the control box. With my pump plugged in and the water coming straight out of the pipe bypassing the tank when I turn the power on I will get water for a minute or so then I won't get water for a minute. This will keep happening. I have checked the switch and when I quit getting water there is still power going to the pump. any suggestions or ideas? bad wiring or bad pump?...I know that there is water in thew well, the pump is located at 100 ft of a 115 ft well and i can see the water level about 10 ft underground.
A good pump would pump water continuously without being hooked to the tank. You say the power is still going to the pump when it quits but you didn't say if it is getting the proper voltage and you didn't say if the pump is still running but just not pumping. If it's still running then try raising the pump some. If it's not running then I'd suspect the thermal protector switch so you'd need a new pump. Are you sure there's a full 230V going to the pump? Sometimes ants like to get in the electrical pressure switch and get in between one or more of the contacts.
Q: have a leak in water pump and need to replace. It is easy or very hard
the basic garage man can replace it but becareful the timing belt runs the water pump on the car so good luck on that
Q: Standard said that the fire pump should be certified by fire water pump, fire water pump and living water pump what is the difference? In addition to the brand, the same function of the pump, the impact of its price factors? Please advise Master ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ only feel so hard ah
1, fire pump is actually divided into many kinds, such as car, fire hydrant system, spray system, etc., life pump is also, the distinction between them is sometimes difficult to tell the exact. Simply put, the fire pump in its design must meet the corresponding fire requirements, such as pressure, speed, work adaptability, etc., specific requirements can be found in "national standard GB 6245-2006, fire pump Fire, pumps""2, the same function of fire water pump, its price is relatively stable. I personally feel that we must find more manufacturers to understand the reasons for the price difference, and then make a choice.
