- Q: Long story short....a leather sofa and chair was left on a backporch and was rained on.What is going to happen to the leather once it dries? Is it ruined or can it be treated and look decent again?Any information is greatly appreciated.
- Make sure that the frame and springs (if there are any) are not also wet. Once the leather has completely dried rub in some pure bees wax and it will restore it to near what it was.

- i have had many cats over the years and they ALL have done this. i am unsure as to why but i do know a couple destroyed the inside of many a couches.
- Q: When I look at the the material it say 100% poleyster, and not to use reg. upholstery shampoo cleaner. every thing you can imagine has been and spilled on this coach it is brand new though, don't have a pro cleaning service near by live oversease and they don't know of any.
- If you know the company's name that made the sofa, I would look it up on the computer or go to the store where you bought the sofa and see what they recommend to clean it with. I don't think I would risk anything such as you are speaking of on your sofa. I had a doe skin suede sofa and it came with some spray cleaner and said not to use anyting but that to clean it. Let me go get the can and see what the name of it is. OK it is a Furniture Care Kit. It works on Fabric, Leather and wood. It has 4 different bottles inside along with sponges and clothes. It's made by Stainsafe and Leather Master out of Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. I am sure there are other type products on the market besides just this one. Be careful what you use on your sofa. - Q: I have a 4 year old tan microfiber sofa. not exactly sure what that means. I think the fabric is polyester or a blend of some sort. I can't find a tag on the sofa. Naturally, being a slob and having a cat that is an equal slob, the couch has become a bit dingy and there are a few stains here and there. I don't have a steam cleaner and really don't want to fork out the cash to buy or even rent one, but I would like to clean the sofa as best I can. Any products good for spot removal on this type of upholstery? Can the loose cushion covers be removed and machine washed? Help! I've spent days cleaning and organizing my apartment and now that everything else in my house is clean and sparkling, and in it's place (the place was a pig sty to start with) I can't stand looking at this dingy sofa but I can't afford a new one, and this one is really comfy-just dirty.

- Q: its time for me to buy a new bed and i really dont want to spend alot of money. would i be able to use a sofa bed on a regular basis... if not what are some sites where i would be able to fuind a cheap bed?
- When in doubt go to Ikea. But I would not get a sofa bed. You have slept on one of these before, right? It is worse than getting no sleep at all. Seriously Ikea has some really nice stuff or look at a furniture store at the clearance or damaged goods section. This might be kinda gross but the bigger chain hotels get rid of their beds every few years so you could check with them or some of them use liquidators. You can find some really nice furniture for cheap. Also take a look at your local freecycle group. It is a yahoo group and you would be amazed to see what others give away for free. One last thing, it is yard sale season.

- A quick search found this site with multiple answers and a picture. I would add side chairs in a large animal print, stripe or solid color of your choice and toss colorful pillows or a soft chenille throw in coordinating colors on the sofa.

- Well Target and Wal-Mart have some on their websites that they do not carry in store-so check that out. Also-once you find the one you are interested in-check Amazon or Google Shopping and see if you can get a lower price.
- Q: i want to put new fabric on it..... i dont want to spend hundreds on reupholstering it.... how can i do it myself without burning a hole in my pocket.....
- If you like to sew and are pretty good at it... maybe you would like to just make a slip cover? I would go to the library and check out some books on reupholstering.... depending on the style it might be hard. My mom made a slip cover to cover the body of her sofa and then sewed pillow case around the loose pillows so it didn't look like a slip cover (like one piece of fabric draped over it.)
