- Q: They seem very comfortable, but those thin wooden slats and those soft plastic hinges that keep them together don't inspire much trust. Is this a sofa bed only for occasional sleeping and not recommended for other activities(wink)?
- A friend of mine had an IKEA sofa with cheap slats like you describe that broke when a larger person (about 250 lbs) sat on it. On the other hand, I have an IKEA bed with much stronger slats that was built like a tank and will probably last forever. Bottom line - if it looks too wimpy to do the job it probably is.
- Q: I did some spot cleaning on a sofa using a Bissell spot remover. I have two questions:1. I got most of the stains out, but there is some of a stain that I think was something greasy. Any suggestions for getting it out?2. There is an irregular ring like stain around the areas where I cleaned the spots. I think it is where the wet area of the stain remover dried. - Q: I cannot beleive my asking a question about sofa cushions but here I go. We have a perfectly fine sofa. However, we just tried to wash one of the sofa seat covers and the zipper broke. Now, we cannot fit the seat cover back on the foam cushion. It is an older sofa but it is decent shape. I do not want to reupholster the whole couch or replace the foam cushion. I just need to purchase one seat cover. I have no idea even where to begin. Does anyone know where I can purchase couch seat covers?
- If it's an older sofa, as you said, you'll never find a replacement. Other than a new sofa, re-upholstering or slipcovers are your only option. By the way, the zipper could be replaced.Just because cushions have zippers, they shouldn't be washed, as you found out.

- I painted my living room a nice dark shade of orange. Everyone loves it. Try getting some different color shades from the paint store. Take em home and hold them up to your couch. Pick a bunch of different colors. Ones you would normally not get included. I thought my hub would of fell out of his chair when I came home with the orange, but he really ended up liking it.
