- Q: I have seen two mice in my apt over the past week. I'm thinking of getting a cat to help with the problem. My friend has a cat and her house always reeks of stinky litter box and cat hairs all over the furniture. Also I have leather sofas. I do not want the cat to scratch p my furniture. How can I get a cat and not have to deal with more problems than I already have. Also I worry about cat food possibly attracting more vermin. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
- I have five cats, and my house doesn't smell at all. I let all of my cats outside, so they usually go to the bathroom in my backyard. My litter boxes are rarely used. If you do not want to let your cat outside at all, just clean the litter box regularly. I used to have to clean my kitten's box about five times a day. I also used air fresheners a lot. My cats still scratch the furniture. I have scratching posts, but they rarely use them. You can get your cat declawed, but this is NOT a good idea if you are going to let your cat outside. My friend put plastic caps on her cat's claws to prevent the cat from scratching anything. They are removable, so you can still let the cat outside if you want to. You can get these caps at pet stores. If you are worried about the cat food attracting more vermin, then do not leave it out for the cat all the time. Only feed your cat at designated mealtimes. This will also prevent the cat from overeating as well.
- Q: I need to find a way for a couple of very expensive hand-me-down sofas to stop moving on the marble floor. They have small wheels and scoot around the room when you get up. The wheels are not very easy to remove and will change the sofa height!Anyone know of a solution?
- First, if you just stop the wheels from rolling, the sofa will still move on the marble floor and scrape the floor. Here is what to do. First get some rubber casters to place under each leg, preferable ones with sides to it. This will protect the floor. Second, stop the wheel from rolling by taking some folded paper and stuffing it into the wheel at the top so it jams the wheel and it can't roll.

- I do not know about saving, but it sure in the h*ll will end a marriage. Especially when you have to move the damn thing. You ever tried carrying one of those things up a flight of stairs? Geez! It will either kill you or cause so much pain that you swear you will never move it again. - I had a sofa and love seat set of this style for 16 years. The only time I experienced the shifting of the seat cushions was when someone had slept on it. Depending on the fabric BENEATH the micro-fiber cushions, the cushions may or may not be more likely to slip.

- Q: what every day cleaning products can i clean my microfiber sofa with , i have heard so many different remedies i don't know what to believe i don't want to do little fabric tests all over the sofa because i don't need any more spots , my sofa is a tan color and i can take off the cushion covers wash them they come clean but not the arm rests , the back of the sofa so can i use ammonia or what please help with an answer that will actually work thanks !
