- Don't buy used soft furnishings like sofas. And definitely DO N-O-T buy a used mattress. You are asking for trouble if you do that. Besides, many charity stores don't even take in bedding (sheets, etc) because of bedbugs. Do yourself a favour and do without furniture until you can afford to buy it new (or get it from friends and relatives). The smell of cigarette smoke isn't the only undesirable thing in getting used furniture. Besides, you absolutely cannot 'sanitize' an upholstered couch or chair. It's just not possible. You can clean them with Bissel upholstery cleaner, but you won't know if there are bugs inside it. Not worth it - just take 10 minutes and check out the various questions that are on this site and you'll see how horrible it is to get bed bugs in your house. You can't see bed bugs because they usually come out at night and bite your butt until it bleeds!

- For the weight of your sofa I suggest buying the forearm forklift from the As seen on TV web sight. I have used these moving many items and makes even the heaviest items seem much lighter. If you are having to turn and lift and contour your sofa to get it to fit into the doorway then I would go ahead and remove the sofa sleeper section just be sure you secure it from opening once removed...zip ties work great for that.

- The sofa is fine. For a shabby chic living room, choose a lot of pale colors, preferably white. The shabby chic style is light and feminine. Add some fresh flowers to the room, romantic floral painting, vintage accessories etc. If you are going for bright colors, than I would choose earth tones such as greens and blues. But hot pink would look great with brown as well. ;) Add some throw pillows to the couch, some colorful art work on the walls, an area rug, etc. Hope this helps and good luck! =)

- It might, but most sleeper sofas have mattresses about 4 inches thick so the problem might be to get it all to fold up. You'd have to try it.
- Q: i just moved with my husband (active US Army) to Germany..I have my country's passport and my husband is a US Citizen..I know for tourist,that its up to 90 days to live in Germany..Im command sponsored but was told to get a SOFA stamp in order to reside in Germany..For those who were stationed in Germany or overseas know that its about 2-3 years to be stationed overseas..i was told in order to get a SOFA stamp,i need to get some kind of USA visa (green card)..theres some spouse,same situation,just applied for SOFA stamp and got approved without getting a permenant residence card (green card)...the military legal is no help and its hard getting thru the US consulate..any suggestion would help..thanks :)

All acceptable solutions are for 10 factors. in case you're command subsidized, and you're saying you're, you're taking your passport and a replica of his orders to admin and enable them to technique the settee Stamp for you.
