Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve
The body of ball valve is full welded,selects high quality forged material,and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body.This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others,and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter,lighter and stronger.Besides,the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing,makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball.The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.
Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion,and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements.When plate adopted,the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium,but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve.The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium.This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves,and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used,and the cost is cut down.
ball valve seat is floating structure,means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.

Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.
（Ⅱ）Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring,set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded,which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat;When there is pressure generated from medium,the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference,thus the second seal forms.When the medium pressure is rising.It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.
（Ⅲ）Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction,the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition,medium requirement,seal requirement,etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve,installed on the body,which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force.When secondary seal is required,there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring.The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball,and then stop the leakage.

- The Positive Crankcase Ventlition(PCV) does 2 things, 1.the valve prevents backfire pressure from entering the crankcase(oil pan area), the pressure could damage oil seals and gaskets causing oil leaks. 2. as the engine runs, as small bit of combustion gases slips past the piston rings and into the crankcase, if it does not have a way out it can damage the oil seals. these gases are sent back through the engine and out the exhaust. the hoses just directs the flow of the system. the filter keeps trash from getting into the crankcase. the flow of the system is as follows:filter-hose-valve cover-crankcase- hose- PCV valve-intake manifold-cylinders-exhaust. if oil is developing in the filter, there is a clog in the system somewhere or you have bad rings

- There should be a VECI map under your hood that shows you where this valve is located. In a pinch, find a Haynes manual or a Robert Bentley manual that has pictures in it. If you can find the valve, you can clean it yourself with a can of spray Gum-out. While you're at it, clean the throttle body and PCV valve, too. Hopefully, you have had the good sense to have used only genuine Toyota coolant in this car, since Toyota heads require a special coolant formulation to prevent aluminum deterioration. More older Japanese engines are ruined with improper coolant than I can write about here. Sensor damage is caused as well! You might take your car to the Toyota dealer and ask them to clean out the valve for you. Since this is only a 2 minute job, they just might do it for free. If they do, at least offer to tip the technician under the table. Be sure to power wash your entire engine bay before you take the car in. They will LOVE you for this!!!

- Most likely it was found in the off position because of impact forces. That's not uncommon. The NTSB report mentions that not only was it in the off position it was torn from the fuselage and the fuel lines to it were ripped off and the whole bottom of the valve body was torn away. The airplane hit the water in a steep angle and at high speed, roughly 1 hour after takeoff. NTSB figured it was in a 45 degree bank and beyond 10 degrees nose down...in excess of 4700 fpm rate of descent. Marks on the propeller plus all the engine controls as well as indications on the gauges indicate that the engine was operating at full power. Last recorded fuel flow an instant before impact was 22 gph. It wouldn't have been able to do that if the valve was off. In the roller coaster ride that the plane went through and the confusion he must have had before hitting the water I'm sure he didn't turn it off...he had all could handle trying to fly the plane. He became disoriented in reduced visibility and who knows what he thought was going on. The destruction was total.

- I agree with Thumpin8....98%...... Main problem is if you run Unhooked or bypassed and Running rich will cause more problems.... Will burn out your Oxygen sensor next Then fault codes will double up in your ECM PCU programs Then running rich, injectors might over presure at the wrong time. That when your fuel mileage get even worse.... Good Luck.... Pass on the car.... If he says the EGR is out most likely has 3 running problems by now Stating EGR is not needed....

- Ive gone 100s of these but that was 6 years ago. I do know you will need a special socket to spin the engine over till the bolt drops in the hole on the flywheel. and allen wrenches, feeler gauges, and deep offset boxed in wrenches, and a torque wrench for putting the exhaust brakes back on. Its pretty easy and only takes an hour or so. You will not need any gaskets, they are reusable rubber. The Main thing is to only adjust them when the engine is cold, you wont get the right lash on the valves if not. they might be to tight or loose, if the engine is not cool.
- Q:Is there a product that can fit over a foot valve to give it further protection in muddy water? I am looking for something for forest firefighting in mind. Something like a screen box something else that can give it further protection. It would be nice if it was small, and compact. Pictures would definitely be an asset. Thanks to everyone that answers. - most foot valves i have bought come with a strainer attached perhaps you should look for that type. if your valve has a strainer you may consider making a further coarse strainer out of a ball of chicken wire and place this over the foot valve assembly(thats what i do for the cold water supply to my house) don't compress the chicken wire very small as it will block up i tie the wire filter on with galvanized wire then i can easily replace it if necessary ps i tried stainless steel pot scourers but they were to fine and blocked easily

- There are books at the library . ask around your local car clubs this can be done but it's going to take some doing .Motor manuals have the ins and outs. I would read up on it first , Did you mean hydraulic lifters. I used to have my heads done for me then just Replace and adjust the lifters.
