Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve
The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.
Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.
ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
(Ⅰ)Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.
(Ⅱ)Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.
(Ⅲ)Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

- Q: Ball valves are much more reliable. Also, if you have the gate valve for the main shutoff, is it against code to put a ball valve right after it, so you have a working shutoff when the gate valve fails?
- I agree with Ed. I have had far more problems with gate valves than ball valves. They can break in either the on or off position which can really be inconvenient. They usually break on me in the off position after performing minor plumbing repairs.I will often use the main shut off at the street if I see an old gate valve. If you are required to use a gate by local codes (I don't know your codes but here in California a ball valve is fine) put the ball valve after it and use it for your shut off.
- Q: If my understanding is correct, in a standard combustion engine as you press the gas pedal the speed of everything increases: the cam shafts spin faster (and thus the valves move faster), the pistons move faster...EVERYTHING goes faster. That sounds like an optimal system in theory, so what is the benefit of having the valves be able to be intelligently out of phase (for lack of a better phrase) with the rest of the system?
- Gee, okorder /
- Q: Glob Valve or Gate Valve
- Never heard it called a globe valve. Around here the term ball valve is more common.I have seen a few gate valves on some crew boats but that's the exception rather the rule.Ball valves are way more common. In any case, once installed on a boat they become sea cocks.
- Q: I have a 3-circuit sprinkler system in my yard (built by me, last year). I discovered this week that I overtightened the connection between the valves and the downstream pipes, and 2 of the three valves are cracked, and leaking, at the connection. I replaced all 3 valves, and now I need to reconnect them to the supply. But this means I'm working backward - when I bult the system last year, I worked downstream - I built the manifold first, connected the valves, then the remainder of each branch. Now, I have to make the new manifold fit the valves, and naturally, they don't line up perfectly. Any tips/tricks on connecting valves in this situation? Is there such a thing as flexible pipe that can withstand continuous pressure? I'm using unions at both ends of each valve to help things go together/come apart more easily.
- valve manifolds are something that requires practice and experience. i used to struggle with them at work until i did a good bit of them. 3 zones is not that many valves so it shouldnt be too difficult. if they wont line up exactly right, i would recommend adding longer peices of pipe to the mainline side of the vavles and re routing the supply line futher back and you will have more room to flex the pipe and vavles into the Tees and 90s. do not use any form of flexible pipe on any mainline. you will regret it. lol the bigger the hole you dig will give you the most room and the more pipe, and room will give you more flexability to build the manifold. it is easier to connect the valves the way you did it first though, but you can do it either way. good luck and hope this helps
- Q: what is a foot valve? how does it look? what is the application in petrochemical companies?
- A foot valve is placed at the bottom of a suction pipe, which could be used to drain a large container of liquid. The foot valve is a one-way valve (check valve) that prevents the liquid from draining back into the container.
- Q: Hello,I've not found a perfect fit using a solenoid valve for gravity fed irrigation system. Primarily because it requires a constant drain on the battery while the valve is open. Is there a motorized valve to fit the bill? One that momentarily requires electricity to open and close the valve at 12v DC or less to work in gravity fed system?
- I don't know how it specifically wires. There are two strategies for latching devices. One is a solenoid with two coils. Pulse one to open, pulse the other to close. The other strategy is to have one coil. Apply polarity in one direction to open, in the other to close. I suggest googling for latching solenoid valve, and/or checking out the major irrigation (or sprinkler) manufacturers for their offerings.
- Q: im just bored so heres my question who do you think is better valve games (hl2 tf2 css) or bungie games (halo) and why. whoever gives me the best reson gets best answer. personally i like valve
- Really hard question... So I'll start with Valve Valve - Half-Life 2/Ep1//Ep2 has the perfect physics/graphics and grabs you into the game. - You can buy games from their uhhh Steam thing, and I think you can instantly download once you buy. - You can play the most popular CounterStrike where you shoot/meet 12 year olds and other guys. -Most games from Steam that are about a year old become cheap and usually cost $10 Bungie - Halo 1/2/3 just an awesome game. - I dont know much.. so yeah.. The halo series are self explanitory. But Im a valve fan soo yeahh.. its totally up to you.
- Q: I noticed when I pulled my pcv valve off the valve cover the entire guts were missing. what would this make the car run like?
- what it really is is a check valve it will flow one way but not the other meaning it lets the motor vent out pressure and no air or debris can be sucked or drawn in its better to have a functioning one cause it can affect performance overall cause it usually is working with emissions devices now to be honest replacing it is almost mandatory, but you actually might not notice any difference at all after its fixed
- Q: If this prolapse considered heart disease. I was diagnosed years ago with it . My doctor at the time told me this is not heart disease and now I googled it and it said this is heart disease. Another person said this is valve disease ? I never asked my current doctor if it was or not. She checks me every 3 months because I have a heart murmur that you can have with this prolapse. whenever I have filled out questionaires about health history when they ask me if I have heart disease I always check no. If this considered heart disease or valve disease. I've never been to a cardiologist for it. Should a person have at least one evaluation from a cardiologist for this ?
- Its a valve disease. It is a valve between the right atria and right ventricle within the heart muscle. Mitral valve prolapse simply is the fact that the valve does not completly close once the blood is pushed down from the atria where the deoxygenated blood is where the new oxygenated blood will be after it goes through the pulminart artery to collect oxygen from the lungs, then comes back to the ventricle. What then happens because of the prolapse is it has a little regurgitation, or spitting back up some fresh oxygenated blood back to the atria, and then continues to the left atria through the corniary vein. Hope that explains why its more of a valve disease than the heart disease. Heart disease has to deal with the heart muscle. And its chambers. Then you have corniary artery disease which focuses on the arteries and veins of the heart and of course the valves which includes your aorta, bicuspid (mitral valve), and your tricuspid.
- Q: I have a 2004 yfz 450 and in the passed 4 rides (about 2 hours long each), one of my valves has stayed down and been broken when the piston came back up and made contact with it. After putting it back together the first time i checked numerous times to make sure timing, valve movement, and camshaft movement were all correct. and just 2 rides later (today) the same thing happened again. I have not began work on it yet so i do not know if it is the same valve. But has anyone ever had this problem before? Is this something frequent with yfz's or am i missing an important maintence issue? And can anyone tell me why this is happening? All help and tips are much appreciated!! Thanks!!
- Valve guides wear and get loose, so the valve stem binding up in them is highly unlikely. If the guides are shot, they should be replaceable. Sometimes valve stems warp and will cause your problem, but the odds of it happening a second time are also unlikely. Once you tear into it, I guess the deciding factor will be if it's the same valve or a different one. When this happened, were your rpm's high or otherwise? I ask because if when high, I'd check for a broken or weak valve spring/s. Most have one spring inside of another to reduce harmonic vibrations and if the inside is broken, not only will you not have adequate spring resistance for high rpm running, but at a certain rpm the remaining spring will be quivering like a dog pooping peach seeds. The other thing that may have happened is the camchain tensioner isn't locking tightly. If so, that would let the chain jump a tooth or two and then Mr. Piston and Mr. Valve get into hand to hand combat. The old 6 cylinder Kawasakis were well known for having crappy tensioners that would do just that. However, with them, it usually happened during startup. Or, you may have had a camchain guide fail and with it laying in the bottom of the oil pan,the tensioner isn't able to take up all the slack in the chain. When you get it apart, let us know what you find because I suspect you need to be looking for the cause of the bent valve somewhere else than the valve itself.
