Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve
The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.
Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.
ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
(Ⅰ)Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.
(Ⅱ)Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.
(Ⅲ)Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

- Q: What is the functional difference between the following:1. Blow Off Valve2. Dump Valve3. Bypass Valve4. Diverter Valve
- The blow-off valve releases boost pressure into the atomsphere when decelerating to avoid compressor surge. The dump valve bleeds out compressed air produced by the inertional rotation of the turbo impeller into the atomsphere when the throttle valve is closed. The bypass valve does the same thing as the blowoff valve, except that it recirculates the compressed air back into the intake instead of out into the atomsphere. Diverter valve is just another name for blowoff valve.
- Q: I have a 3-circuit sprinkler system in my yard (built by me, last year). I discovered this week that I overtightened the connection between the valves and the downstream pipes, and 2 of the three valves are cracked, and leaking, at the connection. I replaced all 3 valves, and now I need to reconnect them to the supply. But this means I'm working backward - when I bult the system last year, I worked downstream - I built the manifold first, connected the valves, then the remainder of each branch. Now, I have to make the new manifold fit the valves, and naturally, they don't line up perfectly. Any tips/tricks on connecting valves in this situation? Is there such a thing as flexible pipe that can withstand continuous pressure? I'm using unions at both ends of each valve to help things go together/come apart more easily.
- valve manifolds are something that requires practice and experience. i used to struggle with them at work until i did a good bit of them. 3 zones is not that many valves so it shouldnt be too difficult. if they wont line up exactly right, i would recommend adding longer peices of pipe to the mainline side of the vavles and re routing the supply line futher back and you will have more room to flex the pipe and vavles into the Tees and 90s. do not use any form of flexible pipe on any mainline. you will regret it. lol the bigger the hole you dig will give you the most room and the more pipe, and room will give you more flexability to build the manifold. it is easier to connect the valves the way you did it first though, but you can do it either way. good luck and hope this helps
- Q: Hi. im wondering what reed valves do and can they put on a 4-stroke engine or not???Thanks for your help.Dune.buggy5
- reed valves are in a 2 stroke cylinder head they are exactly like they sound like in a clarinet.. when the piston rises they are closed due to the position the port is in the cylinder . when the piston is down stroking it creates a vacuum hence the reed valve opens and the piston starts to rise closes the reed valve.. 4 cycle engines have mechanicaly activated valves from a timing chain and a camshaft which controls when the valve opens so the answer is NO NO NO
- Q: does it moves up and down with the valve stem??
- A poppet valve is a valve consisting of a hole, usually round or oval, and a tapered plug, usually a disk shape on the end of a shaft also called a valve stem. The shaft guides the plug portion by sliding through a valve.. not sure if you are talking about tire valve stems? if so the poppet valve moves within the valve stem. I have also heard them referred to as Schrader valves see link
- Q: this question is related to Ball valves, In actuated valve for the selection of actuator we need differential pressure across the valve so I wanted to know that what is meant by differential pressure?
- differential pressure is simply having a different pressure each side of the valve. In this case I think that means you need a difference in pressure to move the ball closing the valve.
- Q: Are all the valve created games tied together somehow? Except for TF2 like in portal 2 glados says she might start a hobby of reanimating the dead so is that left 4 dead?
- no or i thinks GLADOS PRO PROPOSED
- Q: Does the new valve get glued or anything or do I just put it on tightly? I cannot tell if the existing valve is glued on or not.
- If the old valve is plastic it may be glued . It is probably chrome plated brass and could be a compression type which most plumbers I know don't use on cpvc but on copper. there may be a male iron pipe thread adaptor (mip) you would need a backup wrench and unscrew the fitting. You may have a sharkbite fitting , with this you need a special tool to remove the fitting, once you have this tool figured out it is real simple to use. it is a type of slip compression fitting a pic may help us to identify it As long as it has a compression nut use a backup wrench and unscrew it and make sure the nut on the new valve will fit the old valve as some brands use an odball thread and that the debth of the protruding pipe is not to long so the new valve will seat against the compresion ring. and of course make sure the water main is off and the water is drainded as best you can.
- Q: Whilst pumping up my new tubular tyre, the head of the presta valve snapped off! Because this is a tubular tyre, I spent a lot of time (and cash) gluing it on and applying it etc, so I'm reluctant to buy a new tub. Is there any way getting a new presta valve head without replacing the whole tyre? Thanks in advance.
- By the head of the valve, do you mean the lock nut? The part you unscrew to press in to release pressure? If that is what you mean, it has happened to me several times. It is usually from the way the pump is applied or released from the valve. Hand held pumps cause it more than floor pumps. The thin screw that the nut tightens on simply snapped. It can even happen on a presta inner tube. You can just inflate and ride with the nut broken off. Shouldn't be a problem. If it is like any tubular I have used the valve core is replaceable. This is because tubs come with one length valve and for dish wheels you need to install an extension. Ask your bike shop if you don't know or look up the manufacturer's site for the brand tub you have. They usually say if it has a removable valve. If they don't come out and specify if the valve is removable or not, if they sell extensions for their tires it is replaceable. The extensions are supplied with a little tool to remove and tighten the valve. Simple pliers can be used if you are careful not to squeeze the valve too tight.
- Q: I have pressure steady at 13psi --- water temp is normal range but the external emergency run valve has been dripping since i turned the boiler on this year? Expansion take was empty, so I forced water through and then drained it and reopened the valve.....I am stuck and getting concerned. Anyone have a suggestion?Would really apprecite it?Additional info:Boiler is a Gas Powered unit by MASTER from the 80's.....
- The TP valve will naturally wear out over time, if it has never popped open the washer inside of it has hardened, when you opened it it didn't seat properly when it closed back up, causing the drip. This is not an unusual or dangerous condition, the TP valve will usually wear out before the boiler does, it can be quickly and easily replaced. The valve will still function with a leak, but this reduces the efficiency of the boiler. DO NOT, under any conditions, DO NOT plug the leak by plugging the opening on the valve, this creates the potential for a very dangerous condition, let it drip until it can be replaced.
- Q: Okay, so when I was little, I had heart surgeyue to a congentital heart defect and I now have a leeky valve, on my aortic valve and i was wondering if it didnt go away would I need to get heart surgery? Or would it need to get bigger? Will it only get bigger or will it alwayse same? If I need heart surgery how long would that be??? have had it since 3rd or 4th grade and I am now in 8th grade. I am just wondering...
- Valvar insufficiency/regurgitation that is a result of surgical repair of a congenital defect does not self-resolve. It's not clear what your initial diagnosis was, however I would guess that you were born with aortic stenosis. Balloon enlargement and/or surgery to repair a stenotic valve almost always results in some degree of insufficiency/regurgitation. A small amount of insufficiency/regurgitation is much better tolerated than stenosis. It is a tradeoff we accept for improved patient outcomes. Really, the answer to your question is dependent on a multitude of factors, the most important of which is the degree of insufficiency/regurgitation you have (i.e. trivial, mild, moderate, or severe). This is really a great question and you deserve a full explanation. However, I cannot give you a factual answer without more information. You may also have a bicuspid aortic valve, which opens up a whole other set of variables. One thing I am sure of, however, is that you will require the care of a cardiologist for the rest of your life. It's possible that later on you may only have to follow-up ever 1-3 years, however, it will forever be necessary to properly monitor your valve and its effect on your heart, not to mention any associated problems you may not be aware of that become a risk with age. Good luck.
