Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.

ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.

Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

Q: Need some info. Ok, four valves per cylinder is better than two valves per cylinder. Fine, why did Ford REVERT to only 3 valves (my guess is to save cost SOHC)? Audi and VW are using five valves per cylinder on some cars, does this offer any advantage over a four valve engine? Maserati even experimented with a six valve per cylinder!!!! (see link) http://www.maserati-alfieri .uk/alfieri26.htm but abandoned it (my guess is cost again?) Why are we stuck at four valves or would more valves actually render more horsepower? Pop some ideas best answer to reasonable answer...
The ideal situation would be to remove the head during the intake stroke and put it back on during the compression stroke, but, obviously, this isn't possible. On a naturally aspirated engine, the intake is the most critical because the air is moved only by a relatively small difference in pressures. The exhaust stroke, on the other hand, is aided greatly by the super heated temperature and rapid expansion of the gasses.
Q: I somehow lost the valve cap to one of my tires. Do stores sell replacement caps? If so, would a place like Sears or VIP be a good place to look? If not, would a bike tire valve cap work?In the mean time, i took a cap off the fullest tire to put on this one(the lowest) was that good or bad idea?

Q: Ok I recently changed my pcv valve and today when I was checking my spark plugs I noticed and valve that looked exactly like a pcv valve on the passenger side valve cover iam not sure exactly what this valve is ?? I should note that I changed the pcv valve on the driver side because I noticed that it was just a hose coming out of a rubber grommet and into the back of the carb was that just a breather hose ? Thanks in advance for any info
That other one is the crankcase breather, it goes to the air cleaner with a small clear plastic filter by the main air filter. It's not a valve so changing the breather filter is all that need be done with it.
Q: A question about a hot water radiator bleed valve. I read the advise on previous questions and bleed all my radiators except one where the bleed valve broke off when I tried to turn it with the key. My question is that on the other side of the radiator near the floor there is a black knob that turns which I assume should shut off the radiator. If my assumption is correct then I should be able to shut this off and then remove the bleeding valve and replace it without bleeding the system.. Does this sound right? Thanks,.JOE B
Very easy but quite slow. Open the bleed points on the upstairs radiators and the system will fill evenly. Shut the bleeds when the water reaches them of course. If the pump is accessible loosen the big screw head on the top of it and the will bleed air from the pump. When you think the system is full and the noise of entering water stops then go around to all of the upstairs radiators and check that there is no further trapped air.
Q: In December I got a new John Packers Bb Cornet and it was fine to start with. But recently the valves have been sticking, especially the 1st and 2nd ones. Even when I put valve oil on them they stick. It's really starting to annoy me, is there any else I can do to prevent this?
If the valves continue to stick after being oiled, then it's time to clean your horn. Remove all the valves (making sure to keep them in order so you don't put them back in the wrong casings) as well as the slides. Fill a sink with warm (not hot) water with liquid dish soap. Wash all the parts gently with a soft clean cloth. There are special brushes available at music stores for cleaning the insides of slides. After cleaning, pat everything dry, apply fresh grease and oil, and reassemble.
Q: Electric Hot Water Tank Pressure Release Valve Leaking, Why?
They build up mineral deposits on the valve seat sometimes that will cause them to leak.Try lifting the lever to open it completely then flip it closed. That will sometimes clean the seat and stop the leaking. It might take two or three tries. If that doesn't stop the leak then you'll need to replace the valve.
Q: How are they different from other valves ?
Test valves are typically needle valves but I have seen some occasional usage of 1/4 to 1/2 inch globe valves and ball valves used as test valves for sampling. Pressure gauge installations may have test valves installed just below them. The valves are used to isolate the gauge from the system pressure, a second valve is used to vent the trapped pressure so the gauge could return to zero. The same vent valve could then be used to attach a calibrated pressure source to the pressure gauge so as to check (qualify) the gauge reading against the standard. This was done on select gauges where a quick in place qualification could be done without the need to physically remove the gauge from the gauge board. I have also seen test valve setups in systems using a three way valve in a setup to scavenge the sensing line with a clean fluid. This is done when dealing with a slurry which could block the sensing line suach as in a quick lime system. Clean water would flush the line before and after a reading so as to not trap material in the sensing line which could build up and block or cause a false reading. Test valve location also gives a handy mean to obtain a sample of the process fluid.
Q: Please suggest some design or sketch giving details of its operation. I need to operate valves on a natural gas pipeline with actuators to sense and operate the valve after recieving the signals from level switch in the system. Please help me understand the mechanism and operation philosophy. Please also suggest your email address as I may have to revert for subsequent questions on the same. Your addresses will be safe here and won't be passed on to any undesired sites. Be rest assured.

Q: Okay, so when I was little, I had heart surgeyue to a congentital heart defect and I now have a leeky valve, on my aortic valve and i was wondering if it didnt go away would I need to get heart surgery? Or would it need to get bigger? Will it only get bigger or will it alwayse same? If I need heart surgery how long would that be??? have had it since 3rd or 4th grade and I am now in 8th grade. I am just wondering...
as the doctor said, Could be many issues eventually something will need to be done without the big words ... your Aortic Valve is the MOST important valve in your Body because all the oxygenated Blood that flows From your lungs to each cell passes through the Aortic valve into the aorta and to each cell... More then Likely at some point in your life, the Valve will most likely need repair or replacement.... The good news is... that these are being done quite Normally now in Most Large Hospitals these Days... something to consider if you live in extreme rural places... I would mention that You should have a baseline idea of what is normal exertion for you, and at any point, you begin to feel breathlessness, tireness (above beyond normal) Chest Pain .... Do YOu Have chest pain Now, which is normal then anything above and beyond that should be something you should go to a doctor or even a real hopsital... so with that being said how are you feeling? what sorts of exercise do you typically do? play any sports ? gym? ride a bike? text ?lol point is if things change dont ignore it get to the doctor right away.. if you dont have a doc yet , how about a hospital?
Q: is there any way to buy refills for empty valve oil bottles, such as holton or al cass
I wouldn't bother with that. I would go to Woodwind/Brasswind, and get their brand of valve oil. Very economically sound, and a very good product. Why go to all the trouble of getting bulk stuff and trying to put it into those little bottles. Get the company brand stuff. It works wonderfully and is half the price. Sometimes you pay for the names al cass, or holton, when all you are getting is just oil.
